Whew, It took me forever to find the March thread! This is what happens when you can only log on every couple of days, lol! I'm in for 50 again this month. So far the year is progressing nicely....slowly...but nicely, lol.

Still on track with P90X3 and running. I have a very large running goal towards the end of the year. Hopefully, I'll stay smart about my training and stay injury-free!
-
First, taking off a single season is better than never being able to go back at all because a temporary injury becomes permanent. Second, yoga-type workouts are great for tri-athletes. Everything you do for training is in one direction. Moving your body in different directions will help prevent future injuries. Mentally,…

47 miles / 50 miles Close. I'll try again next month. So far, the year is looking pretty decent, though.
-
Priceless!! And I would be the one missing the turn.
-
39 miles / 50 miles I have 6 miles on tap for today and 3 for Thursday so I'm going to fall a little short of my goal. Considering how crazy this month has been, I'm pretty happy with my total. @MobyCarp You probably answered this, and I can't find the post, but how do you "accidentally" run a marathon?

P90X3 Block 2 started this week. I like most of the workouts in this block, except MMX. He can call them "sprawls" all he wants, they're still Burpees! And no one should have to do that many burpees in a 30 minute workout! I'll be subbing a good kickboxing routine for those workouts, lol! I managed to get in 3 out of 4…

A lot of us are over 50! Welcome aboard!
-
I'm not sure I have the attention span for that, lol! I even have to break a Murph into Cindy's just because I can't stay focused for more that 20 reps of anything, lol!
-
Welcome back!! Ouch on the Achilles injury!! I'm just coming back from 3 herniated discs in my neck. No pull ups, rope climb, monkey bars, or rings for me for at least another 6 months. So, no OCRs this year. My daughter is trying to convince me to do a tri sprint in September. We'll see if she's successful. Praying for a…

P90X3 Transition Week. Isometrix today. I really like this workout. I have 4 runs planned for this week. We'll see how that works out for me, lol!
-
26 miles / 50 miles I'm getting there. It was a very busy week with work, Valentine's Day, my husband's birthday, and a Baking Competition. I didn't even get in any rounds of Disc Golf this week! Things should be a lot smoother for a while.

Brilliant!!
-
Glad your'e doing better!! Which shoes did you get?

Tuesday - P90X3 Agility X Wednesday - Yoga X (yes, @gam3rguy I'm actually doing it. He's not annoyingly touchy feely so I don't mind it, lol) No long run for me today. It's raining and I'm working a double shift. I'm surprisingly just a short shift tomorrow, so I'll get the long run in tomorrow.

Maybe it was just a substitute instructor and your regular one will be back? Personally, I shy away from yoga classes for religious reasons, but I do some yoga-type workouts that focus on the physical aspects of yoga and not the spiritual. Pilates is a good alternative and any kind of dynamic stretching or isometric…

I use my dreadmill for every other tempo run for the same reason. I have to hit a specific speed or slam into the wall behind me, lol. There's no cheating this one, and it gets me used to what my target speed should feel like.
-
Lol!! Sure! Wait...No. Just No. I should say, not yet. It is my goal to be able to run a full marathon by next year. I have a plan. Hopefully my old body will follow it!

P90X3 Total Synergistics and a 3-mile recovery run today. I had to miss a couple of workouts last week in favor of running and working double shifts at work. I ran instead so I'd be ready for yesterday's 10K. The weather was perfect for the run! I'm still slow , but working my way back after being down so long with my…

14miles / 50 miles Hmmmm....I need to pick it up a bit if I'm going to make my goal this month.

Fartlek Friday! I did a unique interval run today. Why? Because it was interesting. It wasn't as long as I thought it would be and I ran the intervals way too fast. When I do it again in 2 weeks, I'll probably run it twice but slow my intervals down a little. I ran my favorite disc golf course, sprinting from tee to…

Friday: P90X3 Dynamix and a crazy interval run. I ran my favorite Disc Golf Course, sprinting from tee to basket and then recovering to the next tee. The intervals are short and I wasn't as careful about my speed as I should have been. My usual goal interval pace is about an 8 minute mile. I was hitting 6:30 to 7 minute…

I had to find out what you are doing. Wow! Brute Force looks amazing...brutal...but amazing!

I haven't been on MFP or the Running Challenge for quite a while! Sometimes life just gets on the way. I have been muddling through, healing from three herniated discs in my neck and a sudden job change. At the end of July, I was having some severe pains down my left arm. Knowing what I know about human anatomy, I went to…

Wednesday: P90X3 Yoga X and 6-mile run Thursday: P90X3 The Challenge, and 36 holes of disc golf
-
My workout schedule is off by a day because of back to back double shifts at work. Saturday: P90X3 The Warrior Sunday: Rest (double shift at work) Monday: Double shift at work Tuesday: P90X3: Total Synergistics and a 3-mile run
-
I don't believe you! 😉
-
Yesterday- P90X3: The Challenge (10/12) I had to do lat pull downs instead of pull ups. Today- P90X3: CVX (8-pound dumbbell) and a 3-mile interval run
-
P90X3: X3 Yoga, a 5-mile run, and 18 holes of disc golf. WOw, the wind was wicked for the run! 20MPH!! It was a very slow run, that's for sure. Thanks everyone for the Welcome Back messages. It's great seeing so many familiar names still here. Gotta love perseverance!

It is good to see that the Cool Kids are alive and well and kicking booty! I have been muddling through, healing from three herniated discs in my neck and a sudden job change. At the end of July, I was having some severe pains down my left arm. Knowing what I know about human anatomy, I went to the chiropractor. One MRI…
