Congratulations! I'm just getting into running - you're an inspiration :)

If I eat them scrambled or in an omelette, no. But if I eat them hard boiled...yes. The dogs get blamed a lot at my house.

Gah! I was wrong. Dang...

I'm guessing that OP is English; therefore PF is not the offending party this time.

Sooo...I'm on my way to/from the gym and stop off at the grocery store to pick something up. Should I bring a change of clothes or a bushel sack to throw on over my oh-so-offensive yoga pants?

We're doing a 5K in the morning. Other than that, it's a typical day. We've been married 25 years. If he wants to be romantic he can fold some laundry!

I get a happy meal once in a great while. The portions are small and I get a cool toy to play with. Yep...I'm that shallow some days. :p

Do you remember those Ayds candies from the 70s? One of my friend's mom had some in the pantry. We always tried to sneak a couple when she wasn't looking.

You're welcome to add me. I had a partial mastectomy 7/2010 followed by seven weeks of rads (thankfully no chemo). The rads really take a toll on you - it was a good year or so before I felt like myself again and could tell my energy levels were returning. Slow and steady - don't rush it or try to do too much too soon. The…

My husband and I started doing 5Ks last year. First one (in April) I finished in 55:00. But...I finished. Last Saturday, my time was 48:33. My goal for 2015 is to hit around 40:00. I haven't tried C25K yet. I downloaded Zombies, Run the other day. Now I'm waiting for the rain to quit so I can get started.

I've tried SP and WW online, and MFP beats them both hands down. SP was way too 'busy' for me; I found all the badges and articles very distracting, which in turn made me not want to log in. WW online was okay in terms of logging in and tracking, but the forums/community were SO catty and b*tchy. Kind of takes away from…

My preferred method of eating Nutella? Plop a spoonful or so on a plate and dip mini marshmallows in it.

I love mine - it came yesterday in the mail.

Yes!! I've lost almost 22 lbs so far, and the other day I picked up a 15 lb bag of dog food. I walked around with it for a few minutes. It really was an eye opener. Congrats on your big loss - that's fantastic! -

My husband and I have participated in 9 5Ks, the most recent being this past Saturday. We walk 85% of the course with a little jogging thrown in. My first time was 55 minutes and change. I finished at 48 minutes this weekend. My goal by the end of the year is 40-45 minutes. We walk a good bit during the week, albeit on the…

High five for Martin Freeman!

I definitely think it's a cultural thing. My mum was English, and we lived there for several years when I was growing up. Coffee - maybe a donut or a breakfast type pastry. If you had (hot) tea, you had biscuits or small slices of cake - Battenburg, sponge cake, etc. Even after living in Georgia for 30 years the same holds…

I have mixed feelings about that show. On the one hand, it makes me feel sad for the person. I know how I felt about myself at my highest point, and truthfully I can't imagine how they get through each day. On the other hand, many of the people they profile are house-bound and rely on friends and family to bring them their…

I second my friend drdwngfan's comment. PF opened a facility in my town last summer. It's about an eight minute drive (five if I catch the lights just right) from my house. I have consistently gone 4-5 times per week since July and lost 20+ pounds in the process. Like any gym/fitness facility, you get out of it what you…

Yes, but are they locally grown? Think of their carbon footprint!

Nah...I think they want us to eat wilted babies.

I know it's easier said than done, but don't let it intimidate you. It's just a number. A snapshot, if you will, of what you weigh at that exact moment in time. You could weigh yourself again in five minutes and see something higher. Or lower. You're the one that gives it the power to make you feel good or bad. I did WW…

Every time I see something about the Shake Weight I think of South Park.

I sleep SO much better since I started working out last year. I used to have a lot of problems with insomnia, but that's pretty much gone by the wayside now. Definitely a lot more energy and just an overall feeling of wellness.

Lived in Suffolk for many years when I was younger. Missing it terribly!

Dum Dums are small lollipops. I always remember getting them when I'd go to the bank with my mum or the doctor's office. They're "just enough" for a little something sweet that won't break the calorie bank. As far as the treats go...blocking your line of sight or telling yourself that the factory/kitchen they were made in…

One of my favorites is "sweat more, b*tch less." I printed a cover for my fitness journal and added that as one of (many) phrases. I got the spacing wrong so it says "sweat more, b*tch" and the "less" ended up on a different line. Oops!

2 egg omelette with asparagus, portabella mushrooms, and a little shredded Swiss cheese.
