As it should. When snow falls it creates an exothermic reaction warming the air around the snowflakes. Go science!

Your flour is way off. 440 is for a single cup of flour.

^^This^^ Just use a consistent number for all workouts and adjust as necessary. I use a flat 100 cal per 10 minutes of exercise and I've had no problems so far (50lbs lost; in maintenance mode for 1year; 35 y/o male)

That's the law in parts of Canada, and common practice just about everywhere else. Saves lives, plain and simple. Granted it saves the life of an attendant foolish enough to try to stop a "gas-and-dasher" by jumping in front of their vehicle, but it saves lives nonetheless. Also, your argument doesn't really hold when you…

Also "smell like gasoline all day"? Do Oregonian's not realize the gas goes IN the gas tank, not on your clothes?
-
Where I live in Canada maybe 1 out of 10 stations will pump for you. If you can't pump your own gas you should just take public transit.

^^^This ^^^ I eat whatever I damn well please so long as it fits my calorie goal, and I've lost 60lbs and maintained for over a year.

Yeah, I'm quite the bibliophile myself. I've been crushing at least a novel each week for the past 3 years, and more often it's been 2 or sometimes 3. Right now I'm just finishing up Brad Thor's Code of Conduct. I was actually waiting on another book to arrive, so I just grabbed this one off the shelf. Didn't realize it…

I will never go back to paying for a gym membership now that I have a house with space in the basement. Even though a $10 per month bare-bones gym opened a couple blocks away, it still doesn't beat free and at home. All I have is a rower, bike, bench and weights, and a decent sized floor space to do my MetCons. And since I…

Never done CrossFit, nor do I plan to, but my workouts are pretty similar to what goes down in a box. And yes, I've seen fantastic results doing MetCon style workouts. However, I have a gym in my house, so it doesn't make sense to pay boutique prices to workout.
-
Better yet, just do metabolic conditioning workouts (MetCon, CrossFit, Meta-Shred, etc) and do them at the same time :)

Only in 'Murrica is this even a discussion lol
-
Same here. I used to run marathons just for the pain in my muscles.

Also in E-town. World's most northern metropolis

For me, the only draw for the premium version is the ability to export in CSV format. This is pretty much only useful if you're an analytics nerd like me though lol

This works just the same
-
Or you could always just enter all your exercise as strength training. MFP doesn't allocate any calorie burn to weights
-
^ This. I only log it if I'm eating a meal sized salad, which is usually 4 cups or so for me. If 50 calories worth of lettuce is going to sink my weight loss, then I'm doing something wrong haha.

I like this HIIT workout. No weights, and it only takes 20 minutes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZnsLVArIt8

Finished 12 marathons, 4 halfs, 2 half-ironman tri's, 1 ironman tri... so yes, i'd call myself experienced. Think of it like this: I've never heard of a marathon runner carb loading for a regular training run, which often exceeds half marathon distance. It just isn't necessary to load up unless you have some sort of…
-
Like others have said here, you shouldn't need to carb load for a half. Just carry a few gels or stingers (my favorite) and you'll be fine.

Mayo. Absolutely disgusting.

If you hate coffee, why would you force yourself to drink it? Just drink a Red Bull or, better yet, a 5Hour Energy.
-
^^^ Well there we have it then!

Yeah I've wondered this too. I've seen people get radically different values using HRMs in class, so I usually err on the low side just to be safe. I've seen people go as low as 400 for the 90 minutes and as high as 1500. I log it at 600, although the class I wore my HRM it came out around 1400.
