  • I'm actually a Beachbody coach. I have Shakeology, use it as a snack, or as a shake in the morning if Im running late. Do I swear by it? No, no I don't. And I won't I don't swear by any shakes, replacements, pills, or ANYTHING short term. I swear by getting off your butt and doing work. I swear by eating the right things,…
  • I added you. Im always down for new friends to stay accountable
  • I had a bad WEEK last week. We were moving into our new house so we've had everything packed up and in between moving and cleaning and all that fun, I never kept track or really minded it. I also skipped workouts for the week. Instead of just giving up, Monday I got back on it. I started my low carb/Keto diet, went back to…
  • @leeshaah that is a beautiful print out. Thank you! @Dragonwolf I appreciate that you took the time to look in my diary. And thank you for all of it. That helps with my grocery list so much! It's crazy how I grew up thinking fat was terrible, and here I am trying to switch that so I can control my PCOS. Thank you ladies so…
  • I do this with recipes all the time. If I have a favorite, I'll modify it to fit my carb needs. It's really not too complicated once you get into it. It can seem overwhelming at first.
  • This makes sense! Thank you! I'm sure I've read about it before, but I've read so muhc in the past week that it's hard to keep track.
  • I recently have done a makeover on my diet. At first I was terrified by the whole idea of low-carb. I thought it meant cutting out so many things that I love. When I was diagnosed with PCOS, it brought fear to me even more. I had researched everything possible, but it all went back to low-carb. Finally, I decided to jump…
  • This was just the thread I was looking for. I've been redoing my meal plan to fit more into low carb/Paleo and Ive been looking for supplements. I do have a question about Inositol: When my Dr. told me I had PCOS last year, she also said she didnt want to put me on Metformin because my liver enzymes were too high. Do you…
  • Im currently doing a low carb, no grains, and little dairy. Im only on my 3rd day so far, but I actually feel great. I used to have a bagel, or an english muffin or some toast with peanut butter in the morning, but since I've cut out grains and bread and pasta it's been great. Im always tired at work and I feel more awake…
  • They dont tell you about: 1. nosy people. Im not at my goal weight, not even half way, but people seem to think that because I am working to lose weight I am comfortable talking about what I weight. Im not there yet, and I dont think anyone should have to share what they weigh. 2. That some days I'll get tired of eating.…
  • I was diagnosed with PCOS last year. First it really scared me and the more i read up on it the more it scared me. The beginning of January I began working out 5 days a week for at least an hour. I do about 30 mins of cardio, recently ive switched to 20 mins of HIIT. And then I lift weights for about 30 mins. I've gone…
  • I took a selfie this morning. Instead of holding the phone up and at an angle (because we all know it hides the double chin) I held it straight in front of me. I saw the picture and I dint have the normal double chin and chubby cheeks. I haven't lost much weight, but I can see a change and it makes me happy!
  • I began January 2 again. I'm looking to lose about 80 by the end of the year. If I don't make it, I'm okay with that. I have PCOS so the weight comes off slower. But I'm like you, I do much better with a bigger support group and people to keep me accountable. Feel free to add me. Or if you have Instagram @fitnesspattiecakes
  • I've been gradually taking myself off Coke and all soda since New Years Day. I used to drink up to 3-4 cans a day, sometimes more. Now I'm down to one small cup at work. It's hard for me to add things to my water because it gives me terrible heartburn for some reason. I usually have the small cup around lunch time and…
  • I've realized that if I put the leftovers away from dinner after I've made my plate, but before I eat, it helps. Because then I don't want to get it our of the fridge and reheat. It seems like it takes more time, but it's just me and my wife, so i make our plates and then put the rest away. It helps tremendously.
  • I've been off and on for 3 years, and I've decided this year it's no longer a freakin diet. It's changing how I treat myself and making everything better. Just a better me. Im always looking for support! And I try to keep as supportive as I can as well :)
  • You sound exactly like me. Im 25 and 5'3 and I'm about 225 right now. I always told myself that I would never get past 200, and here I am 25lbs past it. I've never been below 175, once before I got back down to it, but then...obviously I'm back up. I've decided this time that I'm going to stop saying the word diet. I'm not…
  • My wife and I got a domestic partnership in Florida September 12. Then we had a small ceremony here in Tennessee. In our eyes, we are married, and for us that was all that mattered. It would be nice to have the legal things down though, unfortunately Tennessee will not be passing that law ANY time soon. Recently I read a…
  • I just found out I have PCOS about 5 months ago. And since I just got married about 2 months ago, I've decided to start working on my weight because we want to start a family. This thread helps a lot because i know with PCOS its harder to get the weight off.
  • It's probably the sugar and/or caffeine. I have the same exact problem. I drink WAAAAAAY too much soda, and eat too much sugar. Maybe eat fruit, since it has natural sugar. And I've found that just having a low dose of advil or tylenol helps. Once you get through the withdrawal, it'll stop and you wont even crave it…
  • Hello! I know those are all my 'excuses'. I always leaned on excuses before, when really the only thing holding me back is me. But I have a Pinterest board full of baby things, and then another full of clothes I would love to wear to keep me motivated
  • I would love to join! Holidays are always hard for me! I'm 225 now, I would like to be below 200 by New Years, however, I don't know if that's realistic, so I will stick with being below 210 by then. I always need motivation, so a good group will be fun! Feel free to add me as a friend!
  • My wife is 4 years younger than me. I had never been with someone younger than me until her. It doesn't really bother me. We both act basically the same - sometimes mature, other times we act 12. What matters to me is that I am madly in love with her!
