My mini goal is to lose 8 pounds to get me firmly out of the obese category and into the overweight category. 5’2 F sw 172 cw 167 gw 115-120

My sister helped me declutter the hallway linen closet. We have had several deaths in the family and I inherited a lot but nobody needs 40 table cloths! I got rid of 30 of them and now only have every day, special occasion and seasonal ones that I actually use. I also got rid of sheets for a twin bed we no longer own,…

Today I celebrated only a 0.2 lb. weight gain on the scale after my husband surprised us with Chinese take-out last night. I will drink plenty of water today to flush the excess salt, and not get down on myself for indulging in an unplanned treat. Plus, I started a 10-day staycation today (use or lose PTO). Going to work…

Hello everybody. I have been a member of MFP for a long time but not terribly active up until now. I got down to 142 at one point a few years ago but life got stressful and have found it difficult to focus on my health. I would love to get down to a healthy weight and hope to both contribute and be inspired in this group.

Like you, I want to stay consistent logging my food. I also want to find time to walk three times a week and try to do some weight lifting.
-
I ran road races in my 40's but developed RA recently which put a stop to that. I still enjoy walking and weight lifting. Most of my exercise recently has been inconsistent. It helps when I can find time and energy to do it.

Instead of trips to the water cooler, now that I WFH I make excuses to go outside. Has the mailman been by? Walk out to the box to check. Might take a few tries. My container plants get watered every day, sometimes twice. I didn't turn on the in-ground sprinkler system this year so I may have to go out a couple of times to…

I'm the same. Two years ago I lost 25 pounds and right when I was finally at a healthy BMI I just gave up and went back to my old ways. I an turning 50 this year and don't want to go into the second half of my life carrying this excess weight.

When my oldest son's weight began trending in the wrong direction, I began to get him involved in the meal planning process. We made a game out of trying new healthy foods and now he has reached a healthier weight and does the research on his own for fun. He even does a good deal of the cooking now that he is a teenager!…

I log it all. I didn't in the past and ended up frustrated that I don't even know what my top weight was because I refused to record it.

I don't get much time for lunch, and am a creature of habit, so during the week it's always a hardboiled egg, a baby bell cheese, and an apple. If I have the hungries I'll add some cucumber and hummus to my lunchbox that day. My largest meal is the evening meal because it's our family time.

I want to get to 142# since that's my lowest weight from two years ago. Only 5.5 pounds to go. After that I'll aim for a healthy BMI.

I was surprised to be able to consistently choose clothes from my closet in a size down from what I have been wearing this past week. On a whim, I measured my waist to discover that it is 3 inches smaller than last month. Yay!

I think the OP has gotten a lot of good replies. Might I add that sometimes just a change in routine can help you avoid unplanned or habituary fast food visits. I found that changing my daily driving route so that my favorite fast food stops were avoided, or even just on the wrong side of the road, helped me maintain my…

I logged when I had a hard time eating due to the flu, but I made sure to put in my note for the day why my intake was so low. That way, if I go back later I will know that it wasn't a failure to log, but an inability to eat.

Down 10 pounds in 6 weeks. Nothing as dramatic as many of you, but any loss is worth celebrating, right?
-
Just 3 pounds to go to get below 150.

I'm not a fan of avocados. No guacamole for me!
-
I want to get to my next mini-goal of 155. Only 3.5 pounds left to go!
-
I want to get back down to my lowest weight of the last 12 months. Four pounds to go.
-
I lost 6.5 in the first month, just eating at a deficit. I'm really short, so my deficit is smaller than most.

Housecleaning - nothing makes me want to eat less than scrubbing the toilet.
-
Wow, great job! I can really see the difference.

Take them back. Shoes, in my experience, don't stop causing blisters. I've never had a problem with a running store accepting a return, even after several runs.
-
I got into some shorts that I haven't worn since 1993.

I have been there. And I was one of the unlucky ones that actually gained weight with Graves. Appetite went through the roof and I overate. Your best bet is to get your levels stabilized, which may take several months, then take a stab at losing weight if it doesn't start to resolve itself on its own at normal levels.

I'm 5 foot 1.5 inches and my goal weight is 117. FWIW, I grew 2 inches after college so you might hit 5 foot yet.

MFP's future weight estimates are not reliable. But yes, if you met your CICO goal each day, you can lose weight. I ate fast food for all three meals today because I'm on the road, and came in on target. I'm losing 1-2 pounds a week doing that. If I want to eat more, I work out to get more calories. Is it the best way? No,…

I am excited to hear that you've maintained for five years. That means that when we reach our goals, there's hope for the rest of us. Thanks for being inspiring! :-)
