I was told by a customer today that I had a cute little shape.20

swam my 2km in 38mins12secs (down from 39:02 yesterday) but NSV was that I didn't feel 'done' so did another half km of 'lazy' swim, mix of front crawl and breaststroke
100 lengths! yay!
justifies the Twirl bar as post weights/pre-squash treat tonight18 -
I'm susceptible to vertigo. I felt it coming on Monday afternoon so I left work early and took my meds and slept it off. I took two days off from exercising and now I'm back today trying not to miss my riding day. In the past I would have used it as an excuse to feel sorry for myself and miss a week's worth of workouts. So my NSV is not letting it sideline me too long27

Went to my first Crossfit class last night, realized I am not in as good a shape as I though I was but didn't give up and plan to go back for more....this is an intense workout23

The last week has been tough. I've been dealing with something that is pretty difficult for me, even shocking. And I have noticed a feeling like being driven to eat -- a feeling I haven't had in over a year and now realize that it was something I experienced constantly before committing to my weight loss. And I have eaten for about 4-5 days. I continued to exercise and participate in my PT sessions, but I stopped logging and sticking to my food plans. I feel terrible. What's so different for me is that I can see what I am doing. And, last night I just said, "Enough" and threw out all the trigger things that I've been eating (and don't even like any more -- but it's not about "liking" in these situations anyway).
Today I don't necessarily feel victorious about much, but I do realize I am stopping something that could get out of hand. I am dealing with something I never dealt with before, something I never even realized was a thing to even deal with. Maybe with a few days of me being in control and sticking to my plans I'll feel a little better in this area of life at least. It's funny, isn't it, how we talk about "just logging" but, I guess, for some of us -- or me, at least -- it is so much more than that. Have a good day / coming week everyone!
Wow. Some of this is so ME. Thank you for writing this out so well! We can do this!!
You're so welcome! It's nice to hear others experience these kinds of things. Since I wrote this, I'm back on track and 1.2 lbs away from my next mini-goal. I bet I hit it in the next couple of days. So all is well.
It's funny, isn't it, that sometimes on this site people write things like, "It's just CICO." (Well, "funny" might not be the best word.) No one would tell an alcoholic to just get it together. Or at least I would be more appreciative of all the mental and physical things going on with someone in that particular circumstance. I think that sometimes it's no different when it comes to weight loss. There's a difference between enjoying yourself for a couple weeks on a vacation or several weeks over a holiday period and years of struggling with a behavior and a negative impact you do not want.
Anyway ... this thread helps me, at least. Good luck to you!21 -
I always knew "the bicep vein" was a thing but I never knew tricep veins were. Guess things are getting pretty serious.20

I have been stretching. Today for the first time I bent over and touched the floor without bending my knees. (Ok just barely but still)32
-
I seem to have melted since last weekend. Either that or all my clothes stretched out in the washer.26

Was rainy all weekend so worked my way through my closet tried on everything and have a large box of clothes to pass on that are too big. I no longer have too small clothes for the future. Last May I started with 22 pairs of pants/jeans that were too small and am now able to wear or have gotten rid of as too big. My daughter brought over her stuff so found a few pair that now fit. Off to the thrift store. I tried on about 20 tops and found 3 that worked for less than $10 for all. Next stop tried on about 24 and found 4 that worked so am good on tops for a while. I am halfway to my goal so trying not to spend a lot until at goal weight. Usually when I can't ride due to weather I quilt but my sewing machine quit on me so started a rug. Monday off so completed my taxes in the Morning and then did a 30 mile bike ride to work off the stress.22

Walking in Church's Chicken to order food to go for my friend and think I hate the way it smells in here...I almost got sick. I had no problem saying no to the greasy fried mess when I was offered his leftovers. NSV for me- I would have eaten it without a second thought 2 months ago.24

Here is a partial NSV and partial me trying to show off my cutie....We have a ewe (mama sheep) whose milk never came in when she gave birth--making me the new baby mama to twins. So now I can crawl into their pen and feed them with mama in there with me. I would have NEVER fit 126 lbs ago, not to mention sitting on the ground being impossible (well, standing up again more like it.) This is lambie Laurel getting her bottle this morning.

I was surprised to be able to consistently choose clothes from my closet in a size down from what I have been wearing this past week. On a whim, I measured my waist to discover that it is 3 inches smaller than last month. Yay!23

I know it is a common one, but feels good now that I am the one that can say it.
I am in the normal/healthy BMI range!
I record my weight once a week, but weigh daily and for the last 3 mornings I have been in the healthy zone!
First time in 21 years
Started with a 36.3 BMI; today I have a 24.5 BMI71 -
The size 14 jeans I was thrilled to fit in a month or so ago (not 14w, just 14) are feeling loose around the waist. I think it's almost time for 12's! 12's!!!!!!!39

I've suggested to my teen daughter, who has an anxiety disorder, that she might feel better if she got some exercise every day. She rode the indoor bike for 30 minutes yesterday, and said she felt pretty good afterward. Today, she decided to stay on for 45 minutes, and got off smiling.58

Also, haven't been loving the scale much this past month, so I've had to dig deep for the NSVs. I was also diagnosed with a severe Vitamin D deficiency, which explains why this past month has been so hard.
The NSV is I took my measurements and in the last month I've lost 1.5" off my waist and 3" off my hips.
Overall since I started losing in Sept I have lost 6" off my waist 10" off my hips.32 -
I just reached a milestone and anniversary a few weeks ago. As of March 18, 2016, I have not missed a day of exercise - no excuses. Over a year for me is a great achievement.

Ran 3 miles on the treadmill today in under 30 minutes! I've been working on my speed and endurance and it's finally paying off!30

Mother Nature was unkind today. Walked up to collect my daughter from college and it was raining, so I thought that was an end to my cycling today as it showed no signs of letting up
It eventually stopped so late this afternoon I set off. The wind was horrendous and the sun was nowhere to be seen. It was very cold.
I struggled, I really did. Got up the HFH Part I and II and couldn't bear the thought of doing it again. Carried on cycling for a bit, got my motivation back and decided to loop round and do the hills again. Well, I did it yesterday after all!
The wind was doing its best to get me off the bike and nearly succeeded a couple of times. But I carried on. Had to ride at a peculiar angle but carried on.
Then the clouds ganged up on me and threw some rain in my direction. A bit unfriendly (especially as I wear glasses) but I carried on.
Made it to the top of the hill again, had to pass a horse on a narrow bit of road - slightly scary experience as a few months ago when I passed a horse it reacted badly and the rider, horse and I nearly became entangled so I'm very wary of horses now. Raining quite hard now but I carried on. As you do.
Motivation is waning a bit now, my legs are burning, painfully. I want to go home. But I have a word with myself and point out that to loop around again is only another four miles on top of what I have to do to get home, I've already done 16 miles so maybe I should just get on with it.
Then it stopped raining, so I carried on. Round again, back up to the top of the hill and then carried on to the end of the road before turning around and heading for home. I was so relieved to be going home as the wind had picked up again and was buffeting the bike and me all over the road.
Going down the HFH I hit 40.8 mph despite the driver in front of me having a close relationship with his brake pedal I hate drivers who ride their brake pedals as you never know if they are really braking or just sitting on the pedal.
Then, half a mile from home the sun decided to make an appearance. Still very windy but the sun was a welcome sight as I was very cold by this point (it was also 6.15 pm, so the sun was low in the sky). I did thank the sun, and made a request that it shows itself a little more often, especially when I'm out on the bike. I was probably ignored but if you don't ask . . . .
So, covered 25.28 miles, got that speed of 40+ mph and returned home feeling very happy. Now all I need is a bath to offer my poor legs a bit of relief and I'm good22 -
Yesterday was the day on C25K to run 4K without resting. As I approached 4K I decided to go for broke and do the entire 5K. It was a sweet feeling when Endomondo told me I was done. It wasn't hard from a cardio standpoint, but boy were my legs tired. Feeling so good today that I could do it again.37

I just purchased my first 2 piece bikini for the summer from GAP store. I couldn't resist the 50% off sale. It actually fit!!!! I'm so looking forward to the summer and losing all this weight. Heart healthy and fit. My doctor asked how many days I walked a week. I told her everyday, she was so surprised. I scheduled my annual physical exam 5 months out and told her when I next see her I'll be skinny.32

I walked into the tea room at work yesterday and found a printed sheet tacked on the notice board saying congratulations on looking great and losing weight! People noticed and I got congratulated without having to say how much I lost!!!!! So happy33

those old fat lady lumps in my upper arms went away since March 1st. Yay!

Also, my pants are getting looser and looser.22

I ran a mile in 12:25. Personal best for me. A month ago my average pace was around 14:15. Three months ago it took me around 17 minutes and I walked more than I ran. Progress feels good.38

You're going to laugh, but my latest is that my watch strap went down a notch. It was just too big before, but I wasn't small enough to tighten it (it was super uncomfortable on the next hole). Now it's comfortably on the next hole and I am a happy chicky32

Bought some Summer clothes today, playsuit small, shorts and tops size 12 UK24

Reading this made me cry happy tears18 -
A lady in my aquasize class who is trying to lose weight for a vacation said these exact words to me:
"It's easy for THIN people like you to lose weight."
I didn't correct her or tell her how difficult it has been, but the words made me realize that I am making progress! We are all our own worst critics and you just never know how you look in other people's eyes.37
