Saving that savory idea for Thanksgiving!!!
-
If I ate that little during the day, I would be sure to have a healthy, hearty snack already prepped and waiting for me to devour when I walked in the door.
-
You said, ”I eat because I’m bored even though I have a ton of things to do.” Are you bored, or are you procrastinating? I am totally guilty of eating to procrastinate. I will make a million trips to the pantry to avoid study time! Amazingly, once my homework is complete I no longer feel the need to snack.

I truly am glad that so many of you have had successful procedures, but it is not always the case. In 2018, my best friend died after complications from a tummy tuck. The doctor said it was “textbook perfect.” Then, two days later, blood clot and dead. They give the warnings for a reason. No surgery should be taken lightly.
-
Sorry for the tummy ache. Tbh, I probably would have eaten the pie too. It drives me nuts for anything to be sitting half-done, whether it’s a pie, or a puzzle. Pre-COVID, I would have suggested you share!

Sports bras are the devil! 😂 lol

Wowza! Almost 13 pounds lost in a month and a half? That’s pretty darn fast if you ask me. Particularly so for a smallish, grown-upish person- factors that most agree make it harder to lose. Way to go! I never really paid the recipe section much mind before, but you bet I’m headed there now!
-
BL_Coleman, your closet looks ExACTLY like mine. Lol (except mine also has remnants of Christmas yet to be stored!!😅) Let’s be friends. Sent a request. I’m 41, with 15 sneaky pounds to shed. I’m recovering from a sprained ankle so my efforts will be focused on diet until that is well healed.

I never heard of this, but after consulting Google, it sounds AMAZING! Dancing is such great exercise to begin with, plus the fact that this is done in the DARK = no chance of self-conscious wall-flowers. Sadly, there’s nothing like this near me. Only the three-in-the-morning kind of club- which, I think I think I’m over…

You could try something that takes effort to eat, so it takes you longer and you won’t eat as much. Like a pomegranate, roasted pumpkin or sunflower seeds, or nuts that are still in the shell.
-
I think I’ve found my club- you’re all getting requests from me! I’ve let about 15 pounds creep up and need to toss them out with my thirties. In March I hit the big 4-0, and my fella is taking me on a surprise trip to celebrate. I don’t know where we’re going, but it’s going to be an adventure!
-
Hi Jo, we have the same goal and motivation! I’m trying to shed 10-15 lbs of weight that have slowly crept back on since my first success on this site three years ago. And, like you, I’m hoping to get there by my 40th (yuck) birthday in March. My fella is taking me on a birthday adventure to celebrate- a “trip of a…

I’m doing meal prep right now- cutting up veggies and getting smoothies ready for the freezer- a weeks worth of good intentions. Now I sorta feel like I should boil some eggs too! Lol. Thanks for reminding me that they are a handy snack.

Thanks man.

Dang. That didn’t work. It was meant to be a gif of Cool Hand Luke. 🤗

@theknitpicker don't be disappointed. As you said, there are a lot of reasons for a stubborn scale week. Of course, I would have gone home, shaved my legs, and run straight back to the scale to see if that helped matters! You are a toughie if you can wait a whole week to double check- I'm impressed.

Hello ladies who are just like me! :) I'm excited to be active in a group- something I was nervous about and avoided my first go-around (2015). This past year has felt like a dream- I've found my Mr. Wonderful, and every minute we can spend together is a celebration. However, treating every meeting as a holiday has created…

I had a 3 hour commute every Sunday of the summer. It was the worst; I got so bored driving. Munching kept me alert. I packed lots of raw veggies- especially celery because it is fun to crunch. And also gum.
-
I'm really into crunchy snacks while driving. Celery sticks, sometimes with a smidgen of peanut butter, or baby carrots. I also pack a sandwich or two (my favorite is turkey, hummus and apple on whole wheat English muffin) and a whole apple. A friend suggested I might like fresh fennel because it's crunchy like celery, but…

Tonight was MUCH better. I packed a ton more than I needed to (because I didn't want to succumb to the drive through again), munched the whole trip home, and stayed under my calorie goals. You can look at my open diary if you want to see what I ate. And 64crayons, you were totally right! This whole time it was just a fuse.…

I'll tell you, I'm always hungry with the pre-packaged stuff too. Those bars (any of them) are like eating air to me. Get some crunchy raw veggies in there, will fill you right up. And if you fit in a quick workout, you'll be all set for tonight. You can do it!
-
Hmm. I never thought I could fix it myself. That means I'm gonna have to hit YouTube, which is dangerous. Listen, if I'm not back in time to log dinner send help because I've fallen into a loop.
-
Jen you are a genius. Or maybe I'm a dunce. GUM! That problem's solved. Thank you. Can I keep you? Lol. And I love the idea of using the time to learn something new. Then I can daydream about a trip to Spain too!

I'm usually OK with a quiet ride, but I in combination with late night- killer. I'm a little concerned about running my phone battery low on a late night interstate ride. (The plugy-in places don't work either. probably should get my electric checked out, huh?) How much juice does an audio book suck?
-
Ha ha! Lauren, I love it. I'll have that "milkshake" with ya. Heck, make mine a double scoop! Lol.

I sold my daughter to the circus once... bad call as I spent all the money on funnel cake and candy apples on my way out. But for real (well, actually that first bit is for real too- we were hired to face paint and twist balloons for the UniverSoulcircus youth camp), I'm not a middle aged DAD, but I totally feel where…

I would like to join as well. This will be my first challenge.

I love going for walks, but feel weird absently strolling through the neighborhood- I like to have a purpose, ya know? Anyway, I fell in love with this face at the shelter in January, and what better purpose to get out and moving- My little Tibetan Spaniel named Cheese. What I didn't take into account were those short…

Wait a minute, did you just copy and paste my wall? This was my yesterday! Ha ha. So much fried food! I looked for a "lost my mind at the buffet" calorie entry and didn't see one. Quick adding 3000 calories seems like a reasonable place holder to me.
