  • Sometimes I’m weighing, sometimes I’m using cups or spoons. For example, breakfast today is tea, toast, and Greek yogurt which I use measuring cups for. I’d be happy with 1-1.5 lbs lost each week. We have been increasing my calories to 1400…I was eating less. 😔
  • Hi! I'm Julie and from the US. I'm currently 210 and my goal is to be 160 by the end of 2021.
  • I know this thread is older but I was looking because my trainer had given me 500g of protein/day. 25g at breakfast, then 120g at four other meals during the day. I had done it over the summer and it was working, but then I got sick and hd to take a break. I'm looking to start back up but it was just so much protein!
  • I am looking to lose 50 over the next year, as well. Life is always crazy with my 4 kids, working, etc. We out my mom in a memory care unit and my dad (at 82) has never lived alone before. I quit my job of 20 years for a new job, which I subsequently quit after 1 month because it was not what they said it was. 🙄. I have a…
  • I hope it's not too late to join! I am 45, married with 4 kids, and I can never stay motivated. I'm hoping joining a group will keep me accountable. Starting weight:. 210 Goal weight:. 190 (by March 1st) Ultimate goal:. 160 (by November 1st) I agree, @jan110144 , I'm not likely to maintain 2 pound losses each week. I set…
  • I'll be your buddy, too! I'd like to lose 30 lbs. My focus date is 2/15/20, as it is my 45th birthday and the day we go on an 8 day cruise! I was doing really well earlier this year but summer just threw that out of the window!
  • I am in! I'm trying to stay focused this time!
  • Add me! I have been focused on moving more for the last two months and was slowly losing weight (~ 1 lb/wk). I stopped walking as much and started lifting weights and doing an online aerobics class with my kids and my weight has stalled for the last 3 weeks. I am walking 3 mi every morning to try to get it back in the…
  • I'm 6' and 200. Before kids I was 150. I'd be happy at 160-170. Feel free to add me!
  • I'm 43 and would love to lose 40 lbs. I've started and stopped so many times but this time needs to be it! DH lost 100 lbs 5 years ago on MFP (while I was pregnant and gaining weight!), So he gets it, but it's not the same. I'd love some female friends to do this with and keep each other motivated!
  • I can relate. I have 4 kids, and with my last one, I was over 200 lbs. I got down to 170, but am back over 200. But this time, I'm not carrying another human! I'm disappointed in myself, but I'm not motivated, am stressed with work, having four kids, and it seems my DH is suffering from mild depression. I'm just exhausted…
  • I am stuck around 197. I'm hoping to get to 160. That would be my pre-pregnancy weight before I had 4 kids! I got down to 179 a few years ago, but not for long. I have no motivation to exercise, even with a new elliptical in my bedroom! However, today is a new day. I had scrambled eggs and red pepper for breakfast, and…
  • I'm a little curious what a Coke would taste like to me now after so long, but I'm pretty sure I would not like the taste any more! When I try to remember the taste, it's like, why was I drinking so much of that for so long?? So glad I cut it out. Cheaper, too!
  • I gave up cola. I used to drink it just about every day, and usually a 24oz bottle. I haven't had a Coke in 15 months. I do use ginger ale as a mixer for alcoholic drinks, but I'm not willing to give those up! I have had a rare Sprite, but only when I've been out somewhere. I used to not want to drink a Coke to avoid…
  • When my husband was doing MFP a few years ago (and ended up losing over 100 lbs), I was supportive, but didn't change my cooking. I made up a menu plan for the week, so he could plan accordingly. Pasta nights, he just had a salad. Or he would have the pork chop but not the rice. I was not putting our entire family (with…
  • I have 4 kids, from 9 1/2 down to 19 months. The only thing they see me doing differently is exercising. I eat what they eat, but we generally eat fairly healthy anyway. My 8 year old asked why I was now exercising, and I told her it gives me more energy and makes me happy. When my husband did MFP two years ago, he was…
  • I am only 1 week in to my latest attempt, but I've already stuck with it longer this time than any other! For me... I just turned 40. I am at my heaviest weight (excluding pregnancies), and am too cheap to buy new pants, so I keep wearing the same 2 pair to work. (luckily, I only work 2 days per week!) I watched my husband…
  • Thanks. I have a spiky roller that I use on my foot when it's really bad, and I have looked online for PF stretches and do them before getting out of bed. I thought maybe there was something I was missing that I should add to my routine. I will add some more extensive stretching.
  • Wow!! Great job!
  • 40 and hoping to lose 25+ lbs. Add me in!
  • 40 years old with 4 kids 6'0" HW: 202 (pregnancy)/188 post pregnancy CW: 184 GW: 159.5 (weight before any kids came) bonus GW: 150 (weight before I got married) I keep starting and stopping this weight loss thing. Life, kids, everything else comes first. I very recently turned 40, and am determined to focus on myself this…
  • Oh yes! With each child, my goal was to be at pre-pregnancy weight by the time they turned one. I never quite made it...but after my 2nd child, I got to a good enough weight that I was ok with it. Two surprise blessings later (back to back pregnancies, no less!) I am nowhere near any pre-pregnancy weight! I always start…
