Just curious in what you are observing that would lead you to that assumption? Weight goes up?

me too! How is lockdown treating y'all???

Assuming you are new to calorie counting (based on your first login date), I would honestly not worry too much about your macros in the beginning. Just getting your head around weighing your food, logging, good entry selection from the MFP database and use of the TARE button can take a bit of getting used to. For the first…

I just ran into an old school friend walking back to work from the gym. She was noticeably heavier than last time that I saw her. "OMG you have lost so much weight!!! Your face looks so gaunt now". Thanks I said. I've been busting *kitten* at the gym and making sure I don't over eat. Not the reply she was expecting.…

is it just me or are the people with the guilty feelings eating less than the recommended minimum 1500 cals per day?

I jump rope in the garage for 20 mins.
-
Awesome work Tina you look amazing
-
I feel that if you have to jump rope for an hour, then your diet needs attention. Assuming, well to get buff. I have jumped plenty of rope in the past and working up to 15 - 20 mins was enough for me to realize the benefits. Plus I'm a 100kg guy and it was putting too much strain on my lower back and clalves from bouncing…

deadlifted in my socks today. Apologies to my squat rack neighbor :)

What are your goals? What do you hope to achieve with keto?

Given your levels of strength right now, I would stick with it for at least one year. There isn't really a defined "finish", the quest for strength can last a life time. But if you want some arbitrary numbers, change it up when you can bench your bodyweight for reps, squat 1.5 - 2 x BW for reps, deadlift 2 x BW for reps.

Hey I really recommend the "gym boss". It's a stand alone configurable timer. I messed around with apps, but got annoyed with the screen locking, or ads or just not working like I wanted. I don't like to take my phone to the gym, the gym boss is awesome.

I prioritize the compound lifts because I lift at lunch time and have a 45 min work out window to get the job done. More bang for the buck in the time I have available. That probably takes up 30 mins of the work out. Then I superset a bunch of isolation work with the time I have left.

chicken, beef, whey and to my work colleagues horror a tub of cottage cheese a day.

+1 on excessive!!! Unless you are already conditioned for that kind of volume? But if you are just starting it's asking for problems.
-
yes! I did a 2 day split on 5/3/1 and another 2 days a week training muay thai. I followed that program for maybe 18 months and hit PRs on all lifts. Absolutely helped my striking power.

good old complexes! Some legs, a pull and a push. One of my favs is 6 squats, 6 pull ups, 6 DB incline press. Timer on 90 seconds rest, rinse and repeat!

My knees are also very noisy, I went to the physio and he said sorry I can't cure old age :( But he made sure I had a balanced leg work out. Make sure you are getting glute, calf, hamstring work. I was spending too much time in the squat rack and getting knee problems. Now that I have addressed this over the last 6 months…

Unless you count shedding a whole bunch of muscle tissue as an ill effect.

+1 for pistol or single leg squats. But honestly I don't think a week off will make any difference to your squats. You might even come back stronger, allowing that time for your body to heal and grow.
-
Have you tried a hook grip? As others have suggested, straps, but then you are not working your grip strength as much.

from the reputable news source that is CNN :) here is a link to a guy who lost weight only eating (mostly) twinkies. Not something I would do, I like the feeling of my tummy being full so tend to eat less of the highly processed foods. http://edition.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/11/08/twinkie.diet.professor/index.html

eat the treats! Just factor them into your daily allowance.

I've been doing both variations for years, I can't recall any related shoulder injuries brought on by behind the neck. I ran 531 for nearly a year with behind the neck - no issues.

iron man by black sabbath

do one calf at a time, less weight

I'm not sure about girl scout cookies, but definitely twinkie's ;) http://edition.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/11/08/twinkie.diet.professor/index.html

I can't believe no one has recommended amputation for immediate weight loss. I'm a problem solver.
