Running is the best, congrats! I lost 60+ pounds in my first year of training for a marathon. Running is magical. :)

Screw this non-alcoholic thing. Have a nice glass of red wine. Good for your heart and it's one of the more calorie efficient alcoholic drinks. :smiley:

Saturday nights we usually have several drinks. Rest of the week I may have a glass of wine or a beer here or there with dinner, but it's pretty inconsistent.

Yeah a lot of places you can find the calories for either on their website or others. Really helps me with choosing in advance what to get.

Bolder Boulder 10k on Memorial Day. 57:17, which was a large improvement from my last 10k. I was targeting a sub 58, so I'm pretty happy with the results. Little hillier than I expected, but was a ton of fun.

Starting Weight: 265lbs Current Weight: 207lbs. Goal Weight: 190lbs Here's me around 265lbs back in 2011. And here I am after a half marathon last year. Probably around 210. And just a few months ago, after my last marathon (I hear wine is good for recovery right? 17 pounds to go, and working on my third marathon currently.

BMI isn't a very good indicator of health...at best it's a super generalized metric. Like someone else mentioned, it doesn't take muscle mass into account. So, for example, a body builder with little Body Fat will still be considered "obese" on the BMI chart. If you can get your Body Fat % measured, do that instead. It…
