I'm not a nutritionist or anything but from all my research (I've done way too much over the years lol) you are eating way too little calories, especially if you are exercising too! I had a look on your diary and you eat very minuscule portions. If you are 50-60lbs over weight you should be eating WAAAAYYY more. Leave the…

Wow I didn't know this! This helps ALOT! Thanks.

Feel free to add me, I'm pretty active and have an open diary. :)

Yeah I see some servings a food and think...man that's way too much for one person lol. I think it's just when you start losing weight and educating yourself, you start to become more mindful of your food.

Welcome to MFP!

If you are using all natural stuff like fruit and veg etc then don't be afraid of the sugar (unless instructed so by a doctor to avoid it). If you can fit the smoothie into your calories then fantastic I would have one everyday if you enjoyed it! Full of vitamins and minerals definitely what the body needs sometimes. :)…

Welcome! :)

What i'm personally doing myself is aiming for 3 pounds a week, but expecting 1 a week. It's working like a charm at the moment. :)

Hats off to him for making the decision to lose the weight, but wow 4 stone in 7 weeks :open_mouth: ? I thought my 1-3 pounds a week was fast! :D Perhaps get him to slow down a bit now?

This is great haha! :D

I just see the weekend now as every other day and not as weekend, I found treating the weekend as two separate days was bad for my waist line lol. I now eat as i do on the weekend as i do in the week. :)

For me it's a mixture of both if that makes sense? I know what I want to eat, I know the numbers I need to hit and i tend to pre-track for the majority of the time. But sometime I don't feel like having a certain food and would wing it and adapt the food i want to eat to kind of hit my macros. I'm not really too focused on…

I don't do Keto, but I do IF religiously and it's awesome. I think you just need to find something that works and that you can do ALL your life. I always plan to do IF just because of it's benefits. The real question you need to ask yourself is this. Can you do Keto until you die and enjoy life?

No it's a not a fad. What exactly do you think you are doing when you are sleeping? EVERYBODY fasts for around 8-12 hours naturally so how can it be a fad lol? From my experience it's the best thing I do. * It regulates my appetite, I no longer feel the need to "binge" or pig out when I do eat. * I can manage my calories…

I love watching them personally. I just love watching people succeed and it kind of intrigues me how other people's lives are. I just bare in mind though that the majority of the shows do make the people lose TOO much too fast and to remember that slow and steady wins the race.

If in doubt just use a food scale. That's what I do if things don't add up. :)

So much this. Don't try to be perfect and allow yourself to eat the foods you like, but in moderation and in smaller portions. You've got this! :)

Not going to lie...I had to Google up what Seagan is! :D That's great you have found something that works for you and that's the key to fat loss really. Find something that you enjoy and you can maintain. Good job!

Myself personally use a online calculator called TDEE calculator, its like the first link on Google. I've found that to be a bit more realistic and both the Mrs and I are losing fat with it. :)

Yarp, I probably attribute my fat loss so far due to IF, it's awesome. I currently do 16/8 minimum but aim for 18-21, I enjoy big meals and this works perfectly for me. Side notes: It helps my anxiety slightly, my appetite is decreased and overall just feel better! :)
-
Yup that is extreme. As others have said, eat a minimum of 1200 calories a day and if you are going to do 2 hours of exercise you definitely need to account for those calories too. I suggest reading the stickies on this forum and start swatting up on the right way to lose fat. :)

You got it! :) We're humans and we make mistakes and sometimes can't do what we like. Be consistent and think long term, you'll be golden!

Yeah this pretty much! Cheese especially cottage cheese is a good choice before bed etc because of the high fat and protein. Just be sure to weigh it and track the calories and you'll be solid. A nice snack I have is peanut butter on a rice cake, nice 'n' salty ^^

The wife and I are virtually dairy free, we have dairy free butter, dont drink milk and the only time we have dairy is on a pizza on the one off time we have it. (about every fortnight) Our digestive system thanks us definitely! ^^

Fantastic and spot on! :)

THIS! I find it's helpful if I input my meals into my diary before I actually eat them as this keep me aware of what I'm eating and how much i can eat etc. Just allocate 5-15 minutes each day and put your meals down in your diary or alternatively do it right before you start eating (this is what i do, i dont like scorching…

Yeah it's great and Welcome! :) My tips are to be truthful when logging and enjoy your food but in moderation. All the best.

I eat either of the following when winding down for the night: * Banana with dairy-free yoghurt on top and a sprinkling of cinnamon. * Snack-a-Jacks Rice Cakes with one of them having peanut butter on top. * Sugar-free Jello (a BIG bowl of it) These have been my staple nightly snacks since beginning of Janurary. :)
