I eat about 60% carbs and my good cholesterol is 71, ratio is 2.3. I do not eat many meats and get most proteins from plants. Try just cutting back on animal products and replace them with plant proteins.

Yes! Keep going! Like the little engine that could!
-
That's pretty cool! I'm at 17% and will take 15%. I'll never get to the first pic unless I quit running and pound some roids, so no thank you lol.

Based on stomach fat, although now I am trying to replace about 1 lb of fat with a lb of muscle and stay the same weight. That's when a scale that measures muscle will come in handy.
-
Me too! I cook them in the iron skillet with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika. They are delish.

Replaced coke 0 with water.

Thank you! Agreed.

I respectfully disagree as not to confuse the OP. I eat what most people here would call a 'high carb' diet of mainly fruits, veggies, legumes, and whole grains. This has not contributed to high blood pressure. In fact, it is perfect, my triglycerides from fasting blood sugar are perfect, my good cholesterol is in the…

This. It's another way to a deficit. If calorie, carb, protein cycling helps you get there, then do it. The cycling part is more about mentally staying on your deficit track though.

I could never eat low carb. I eat between 250-350gr of carbs/day on about 1850-1950 cals maintaining on goal wt at 119 5'6". If you like higher protein foods then go for it. What gets me is people force feeding themselves nasty protein shakes and eating foods they don't like because they "have" to hit MFP protein goals. I…

I have the misfit shine. The misfit flash is only $30 on amazon.

350 is not a bad day. I consistently eat 250-350 carbs daily and I'm at my goal weight and am starting to see an definition through workouts.
-
Don't worry about carbs. I eat over my carbs almost everyday. They mainly come from whole grains, fruits, and veggies.

Is this a trick question?

http://www.ohnuts.com/blog/how-to-make-almond-milk-recipe/ And I'll never go back to store bought. This is too yummy. I read something about subtracting the weight of the pulp from almond calories. I think this will be one of the few entries where I use a random homemade entry from MFP data. I only use it for coffee anyway.

I a I agree! There comes a point where tracking is more about the right combo of macros for the calorie allotment. Getting the most bang for your buck per se.

Squats squats and more squats!

5'6" 119# maintenance is 1780 set at lightly active. I'm averaging around 1850 for March (without checking my spreadsheet).

You can eat whatever you like that us within your range. Just make sure to get all your nutrients for high energy. I personally have a cheat meal or food here or there on the weekends. I just make sure to log it. Last weekend it was 1000 cals of taco bell. Last night it was 1200 cals at red lobster (I add 5% to restaurants…

Hmm, since I changed my eating habits I've been going more and at a predictable hour. (No more poops at work!) Friend me to see what I eat. I really can't tell you what it is exactly, but the main change has been prepping all my own food.

Surely I'm not the only one that sews in my own clothes? It may be cheaper to take a few lessons. Ive found that knowing how to sew has been very valuable!
-
Why are you eating as low as 1200? Set your goal to lose .5lb/week. That is more manageable now and for maintenance purposes.
-
I have one...can someone please tell me how to calculate homemade almond milk??
-
FYI if you can sew in a straight line, that's all it takes. I don't sew on jeans though just work pants and shirts.
-
Yes! I've been at my sewing machine all week, because I recently went down one size.
-
It depends on the carb. My weekly carb percentage is 55-60%, but I never go hungry. I eat mainly whole grains. It's the white flour and sugar carbs that tend not to keep you feeling full.

SW: my heaviest? 138 CW: 119 GW: not to dip below 117 Height: 5'5.5" I run about 100mi/month, so I'm lifting more to build more muscle and focus on high quality calories. I aim for processed sugars being less than 1000cals/week and less than 700 cals coming from alcoholic drinks. This leaves more room for proper nutrition…

Scary. Will I get social security when I retire in 35 years?

My breakfast and lunches are very long lists of mainly fruits, veggies, grains and legumes that keep me full all day. I eat most cals for breakfast and lunch.
