  • This^^ And I use the barcode scanner on the app. I only use the database if it doesn't have a barcode and then I still google it separately as some or the database items are weird.
  • I echo with the weighing before and after thing. One thing I do is each time I make that recipes again I go in to the recipe section and edit everything that is different from last time. Sometimes I add different ingredients it's only a slight adjustment but at least I know it's correct.
  • I don’t intermittently fast on purpose but I do find the days I do the results are amazing. From a eating and hunger point of view on the days when I have to sit down and work at a computer all day. I seems to be constantly hungry and want to eat all my 1200 cals before 9.00am and really struggle all day. On the days I…
  • 5'3" Start Weight 135 lb Current 128 lb 1st Goal 117 lb back to the weight i was last year, then see from there probably 112 - 108 is my ultimate goal as i still for like i had way more to lose at 117.
  • I am 5ft 3 and currently trying to get down to 117 again possibly 112 but haven’t decided yet I think 112 may be a little too far. I’m current sitting at 128 so have about 11 lbs to go. Last year I got to my target of 117, I was completely focused and weighed everything, log everything, exercised to the max, stuck to a…
  • Add me too. I have no Fitbit friends. louise.fender@btopenworld.com
  • Hi, I also do a lot of cardio. I have never truly believed the read outs of cardio machines etc. I have an workout schedule of 4 x runs a week and 4x gym session 70-100 minutes each. I have been running for 18 months and starting hitting the gym about 2 months go. I wouldn't eat back my exercise cals all the time but…
  • Apple cider vinegar is added to drinking water for chickens. It promote good health. Never thought of drinking it myself.
  • It all depends on your stats, I'm 5"3, 32 years old my cw is 124lbs I have 12 lbs to lose. If I select maintain weight I get 1560 cals per day so cutting to 1200 is about 0.5 lb per week loss. I exercise most days but only eat back if I achieve a certain level. Most people say 25% to 50% because of inaccuracies. I will be…
  • I meant high level by her employment she works for a team at that's at the highest level in its field through out the world. Find it hard to believe that she would be employed by them if she didn't have creditendial or know what she was taking about.
  • The carbonated drinks cause cellulite is stated by a nutritionist at a very high sports level. I guess I just took her word!
  • Weight loss no. Plus Carbonated drinks cause cellulite.
  • Earbuds for everything. I like the marshmallow ones that are like sleeping ear plugs. They don't vibrate in your ear when your out running. The gummy earbuds vibrate and fallout. JVC marshmallows.
  • If it's something like a smoothie or a meal I have a lot but it changes depending on banana size etc I don't use the recipe builder because I get fed up editing the weights. This is what I do in the app. First time log all items individually in your chosen field ie breakfast, then click on the 3 little dots at the bottom…
  • You need to eat your goal and eat back some of your workout calories. Maximum 50%. I don't see anything wrong with doing a 2 hour cardio workout. That's what I do 5 mornings a week. Some people just have a long endurance. I often watch people at the gym who get on each machine for 5 minutes and leave after a total of 30…
  • I'm not on a low carb diet but tend to natural eat less of them as their calories spend seems to be higher. I tend to switched them out and eat high protein low calories as I find them more fulling. Also with the level of exercise I do I seek out protein to help my muscles repair and rebuild.

  • I'm 5"3 too. Add me my diary is open.
  • I think a lot of it depends on your size. They bigger you are the more calories you use. My maintenance calories are 1540 so cutting to 1200 is only an 0.5lb weight lose per week. I stick to 1200 most days and sometimes eat back some exercise calories but not ways. I scan, measure and cook everything and don't waste…
  • Gosh! Some people are so obtuse with their answers. You clearly want an alternative to white bread!! I don't eat white bread and haven't for years. I only buy wholemeal and the small loaf. I think my hovis wholemeal small is 65 cals per slice. I have a this sometimes toasted for breakfast with 2 boiled eggs. Or again…

  • Mine records my steps and adjusts my calories but if I record any exercise like running or gym cardio through runkeeper app which is linked to my mfp it then removes the steps. If I don't record any exercise on a day off it records my steps. Quite clever really. I also use runkeeper record my weight and it also records lbs…
  • Thank you so much this article is great!! I love spreadsheets. I even have one which I enter all my stats from mlp everyday and produce graphs. Crazy, I know but I like to see the calories in, calories burned the net calories and my weight all in a graph so I can spot trends etc. I look forward to this new little project.
  • Lobster 4.68/1 gram protein
  • I am 5"3 started at 127, current weight 121, goal 112 but I will see what 115-116 looks like. Going on holiday in two weeks to all inclusive 7 star luxury. Not going to work out or count calories while I'm there so the more I lose before the better.
  • Love eggs!! have them every day but whole eggs because I love the yolks so much!! pushes the protein/cal to 11.66.
  • Honesty, didn’t I say healthy eating in my op. It’s just a game to hit our protein goals. I do eat healthy and lots of fats and carbs too. I think every food mentioned here is classed as healthy they and all whole foods and not processed. I think the people on here that jump on criticize a bit of fun are silly. Salmon and…
  • I'm going on a scallop hunt.
  • Google is good but I have found they average a lot of things. It told me salmon was under 5 but when I actually checked the salmon I had bought the pack says 9.73 cals per 1 g instead of googles generalising.
  • Good. Calorie spend of 5.38 per 1g. My target is trying to find ones under 5 and as close to 4 as possible.
  • Cool lets hope we can find some good ones. The only problem is food changes so much form item to item. My cottage cheese ratio will be different to other brands so always need to check the label and calculate the one you have bought.
