Hi Mariska! I'm a 35 y/o father of an almost two year old with baby #2 due in July. I also love cooking and watching TV and have found that i can incorporate both of those into an active lifestyle! Add me if you would like and we can talk exactly about the level of support you need. I'm willing to just post the occasional…

I post my diary daily. Feel free to give me some crap when you see a late night snack on there or a couple of weeknight beers!

Congrats! My wife is due with #2 in July!

Add me if you want! It's helpful to see others in your newsfeed so you know others are right there with you through this process

My wife is due with our second child in July! Add me if you're still looking for friends

Add me as well. I find it helpful to see other people's workouts and diaries. Misery loves company!

Being active helps, but the bottom line is calories in vs calories out. Good luck and stick with it! Friend request sent.

It is definitely eye opening! I realized that even though i used to eat relatively healthy, i still ate way too much of it! Good luck!

I pretty much did! They were so damned good. We did get a hungover, 4 mile run in on the beach down there, but then followed that up with breakfast tequila and insanely good food

This is going to be a tough weigh in for me. Spent all weekend drinking and eating awesome food in Mexico and definitely paying for it on the scale. I think today i'm finally back to where i was last week, just hoping to not go up since last weigh in! I don't even want to think about how many calories i took in between the…

I'm always on the hunt for new recipes! I like what i cook, but we can only have chicken and veggies so many times in a week!

I do a very similar thing. I "lag" a day in my recording. So say i'm down a pound on Monday, and down again on Tuesday, well then i will record Monday's weight. It kind of makes up for odd weigh ins and takes away some of those fluke weigh ins. Like after a few cocktails one night i usually have a good weigh in the next…

Good work on your progress!

I think i signed up properly. Thanks for doing this. Love the little extra bit of motivation!

Welcome! I'm relatively new as well, but so far having a good time and seeing some results. There are some pretty good people in the forums so don't hesitate to post questions or concerns or frustrations! Good luck!

I'm about a week into using my Garmin VivoActive as an activity tracker. I bought it to use as a run tracker and never saw the benefits of the simple fitbit step trackers. But now i do. I like it as a constant reminder to move as much as i can throughout the day. It has helped me remember to maybe park farther away in the…

I second the interval training. My wife LOVES the C25K app and has had great results increasing her run times and even enjoys it now!

Right there with you, add me.

I'm right there with you, add me and lets ditch these man boobs

Getting started is the hardest part. You can do it, take control, make no excuses.

I got my VivoActive last week. So far i'm really liking it. You liking yours? How'd it work for golf? haven't gotten out to play for a while.
-
Good for you. Trying is the first step!

Its great to see some results! Good work and keep it up!

Damn those reese's cups. Especially the eggs that start popping up this time of year.

I'm in the same boat. Got another one on May 31st and haven't run one since 2013. Prepare to be hooked! They are insanely fun and a great experience!

Yeah man, i couldn't tell you the last time i went to the beach or pool party and wasn't self conscious about my weight. Think i'll be on track for a labor day shirtless pool party. (that sounds way dirtier than i meant it.)

Congrats on the new baby! I have a 9 month old son and i don't want to be out of shape dad! Add me for some shared motivation

Good for you! I'm also tired of making excuses and found way tooo many ways to duck out of a run (new baby, house, etc). Feel free to add me, its always nice to see others common progress/struggles/successes. Good luck!
