Yes, I need to have similar interests or I don't talk.

This is getting good, maybe someday you'll figure it out. Actually I had planned to lose weight on MFP by myself, without any friends, but then a few asked me to be friends and I accepted, then I decided to ask a few to become friends, including guys, but I have to say it was harder for me to ask the guys than it was the…

Yup, really!

Okay, I'll say it! It's because guys don't ask other guys to become friends. It's a macho thing, and women can debate it all they want. It's just the way it is.

Yup, never calorie counted before and was surprised by the cals in deserts and soda pop. Since cutting back on sugar I have been able to lose weight.

And what % of divorces mention phones calls or text messages. It's just a method of communication. If not face book it would just be another. [/quote] Exactly. If someone wants to cheat-they will find a way. Social media just makes it easier and gives you access to more people. If you don't want to cheat, however, MFP and…

Well, my profile is open, but my food diary is open to friends only. I don't care if my friends want to criticize what I eat, I am open to suggestions, and will take their suggestions into consideration. But I don't want the people that think their way is the only way and is the correct way to do something because I have…

Try a protein bar or granola bar

I use to party on the weekend, but during the week I watched my diet and worked out. That worked well for me until I quit the gym.

Everybody else gave you good advice. I bought a home automatic BP monitor so I can check myself everyday, but I was only a tad over normal 135/85. Since losing weight and walking 2 or 3 miles a day I'm in the normal range now. The one I bought cost $40.00

dihydrogen monoxide (DHMO) sounds like this is some bad stuff, but it's a chemical name for water

Good for you! Not much you can do to those people, but it is irritating. Wish they could mind their own business.

Well, you can hideout and feel sorry or you can take it as a challenge. Say, I'll show them! When I am done, I'll be fitter and better looking than they are! If anything, mean comments give me more drive to succeed. So get back on track and show them what you're made of.

I have a red ruby grapefruit tree in my front yard, they are delicious. No sugar needed, but I don't think I could eat 40 of them a day!

I would say it maybe easier to learn how to ride a bike as an adult. You have stronger muscles, probably better balance, hopefully common sense for what you can do and what you can't do. The only possible negative maybe more body mass. The hardest part will be the takeoff, then learning turning radius and leaning into the…

I switched to drinking water instead of soda, and sugary high cal drinks. So it has helped me become calorie deficient to lose weight. Now I can eat more solid food and still be within my calorie budget.

Homemade yogurt with a little honey

I walk 2 or 3 miles a day, and weight lift 3X a week

Buffalo, New York? If yes, I grew up in a small town called Bennington. About 30 miles outside of Buffalo, now I live in Arizona. Welcome aboard

Well you're on the right track with MFP. You have to commit to logging your food intake as accurately as possible, using a food scale and you will lose weight. You don't have to buy dvds, unless you use them for an exercise program

I'm up watching tv, I'm a night owl

It happens to me on leg day, but I make myself go anyway

Emotional overeating? Has it solved any of your problems? It can create more problems if your health goes bad. I think some people dwell to much on the past, and don’t look to the future. You need to set realistic goals for the future, and once you start achieving your goals, it makes you feel good, and you set more goals…

I guess not to many have chimed in. Your profile is closed so I don't know who you are. I'm going to assume you have never done much exercising. The treadmill is good for burning fat and calories. As you get use to doing the same exercises you can switch up. Treadmill, you can walk 2 min, then jog 2 min or switch to a…

I always liked starting with light weights and slow reps, then work up to heavier weight. You can work on form when starting light and slow

Yes, soak almonds in water over night, then in blender with water, strain thru cheesecloth. I found the cheesecloth you buy at cheese making or homebrew sites is better quality than the stuff bought at Walmart. I usually buy ingredients in bulk, store in freezer and use when needed. Most of the time you save money making…

Pretty cool. I make my own cheese, yogurt, beer, wine so I already have most of the equipment. Also was watched a video a few days ago on making almond milk and almond flour. I'll have to save that video

I have the same problem so I've been thinking about getting an invisible dog!

Thought about posting it on the NSV thread, but since epiphany is an illuminating discovery or realization I figured I'd post it here. Maybe I should post on both
