Morning all! @weatherking2019 I do like this age! My girls have spent most of lockdown with their dad, though (he has a more flexible job than mine!) - it's been lovely, although a bit of a shock to the system, to have them both back with me full time! So, today I am up again. I ate a LOT of hummus/crackers for a birthday…

Just showing up today: feeling a bit guilty for not writing a more personal and friendly post (everyone seems sooo lovely on here!!!) but it's my eldest daughter's 14th birthday today (how did THAT happen?!) so I have a picnic to prepare and a surprise riverside walk for later. July 6th - 139.8 July 7th - 140.7 July 8th -…

Good morning all.. So sad reading about everyone's grandparents. I can't imagine how difficult it must be, for you and your families, as well as them, suddenly isolated from everyone. Just a quick check in from me this morning: July 6th - 139.8 July 7th - 140.7 July 8th - 141.8 July 9th - 142.2 July 10th - didn't log July…

Morning all! @cayenne_007 I LOVE your photos - what amazing scenery! @l4a_p maybe not, but I felt pretty good at 135/136 last summer - that will probably do me to be honest! I've been tracking weight this month, so here goes: July 6th - 139.8 July 7th - 140.7 July 8th - 141.8 July 9th - 142.2 July 10th - didn't log July…

Forgot to mention, I am also trying to be alcohol-free at the moment (was getting to a point where I was enjoying it a little toooo much/regularly!!) Had hoped that would naturally help me weight fall, but no! 22 days in at the moment, which is a bloody miracle for me :D

Hi all. Do you mind if I join you all? I am feeling really fed up at having to start again, and could do with making some new virtual friends for accountability and mutual motivation! So, about me: I'm 44, 5'8, currently 144lbs. My goal weight is 9 1/2 stone (133 lbs). I almost got there last summer - 135lbs - but.. you…

Oh, and absolutely get fitted for running trainers from an independent, specialist running shop :-)

Hi. I haven't read all the posts, so apologies, but thought I would add my comments. I've been a runner for almost 10 years and started with C25k. I have lost track of the number of would-be runners who start and give up, and the thing that stands out for me is that almost all of them are too ambitious in their goals. When…

I've been putting off doing a big piece of important work and now I'm panicking I won't get it done on time.
-
I'm a runner; I started in 2010 with the C25k programme on my phone. I remember willing that timer to end on the run sections, and celebrating the first time I ran 20 minutes without stopping. I now run regularly, have a few marathons under my belt, and ran a 5k in 22:45 last week. C25k absolutely works, you just have to…

I'm tired I don't want to be at work First week back at school is a pain in the *kitten* - SO much domestic crappery, I hate it I have just signed up to do a French A level, and all I want to do is study that + go out on my bike in the sunshine + sleep. That is all.

happy :-)

@Hockeydad1018 (no agenda) because I've never had a random stranger reach out and be so friendly and supportive. Stuff like that makes me feel good about the world. :-)
-
I do a lot of cycling so might be biased, but Strava is where it's at for me. You can plan routes, sign up to challenges - I love it. And there's a MFP Cycling Challenge Group established which you can join (which isn't hugely used, but needs to get more popular!)
-
Hi Evan, it's good to meet you. I've found people really supportive and helpful on here, so post away and ask any questions you have! Just simply logging on here every day keeps me accountable. Make a plan, carry out plan, adjust where necessary, rinse and repeat. Good luck :-)

Feel free to add me. I am nearly 44, single mum, full time job, UK based. I am lucky that I don't have much weight to lose but I am here to try to beat an eating/exercise cycle and serious sugar addiction. I do quite a bit of sport so always up for encouraging others to get into running/cycling/gym etc, if that is helpful…

Hi, can I join? Age 43, 5'8, current weight 139.8, GW 133 Coeliac disease Runner, cyclist, never got below 137 something before. Serious sugar addiction which I'm currently 7 days into tackling. :-)

That sounds absolutely terrifying.

Hi everyone - it's Friday, the sun is shining, the weekend is nearly here! Have a good day all :-)
-
@forestfreek I am in the UK. :-) I reckon the chocolate is better over here!
-
@forestfreek They are little milk chocolate buttons with a hard shell. Galaxy Minstrels. They are my absolute downfall!
-
Hello everyone! I am not posting much but thought I would gatecrash your conversations and say helllloooo. I have had a crappy few days of indulgence - gorgeous food and cheap gin - with my lovely partner. Right now my only motivation is to LOG EVERY DAMN THING and not buy and consume a big bag of Minstrels at 3pm. I am…

Happy Friday everyone! I am away this weekend so sacrificed a run last night to pack and get organised (place still looks like a tip!!) THEN overslept the gym this morning... so my goal today is to log everything and keep to my calorie goal. Easy peasy, huh?
-
Hey middle-agers. I'm Claire, UK-based, always looking for new friends to keep motivated. Having a good week right now. Realised that checking in on here helps keep me accountable! Nice to meet you all :-)

I'm a runner. I'd be interested to know how far/fast you're running, what terrain and what sort of elevation. I personally don't enjoy running with much in my stomach and don't eat much carbohydrate as a rule at all, but there are so many differing opinions on this, I think the only 'right way' is what works for you. Are…

Garmin Vivoactive 3. It tracks steps, swimming, cycling and running, and other stuff too.
-
@sijomial I think you're the one immediately above me on the leaderboard. Same part of the country(ish) too. Thank you for the advice, I will reflect!

@whatsonmymind88 I signed up by accident (I didn't cancel the free trial on time). I haven't spent lots of time looking into how to use it, but haven't got on with it very well. I had been using the gym for a few years, but wanted a more structured and efficient training plan which maximised the short amount of time I had…
