What an interesting concept, I hadn't considered this before. I usually have an idea of what I'm going to eat but keep it kind of loose because sometimes I change my mind and eat different things within the same calories. Maybe I should try this!

I've done the same thing with working out- focusing on getting my step goal met on my Fitbit and doing a squat challenge for the month. This weekend I start kickboxing once a week. It's helped me a lot to not feel totally whipped but building up more intensity.

Wow @ekahnicole that is excellent! I really feel like I should not save a bunch of calories just to have a huge thing right before bed but based on a lot of these responses I might be overthinking it.

Thanks for the input! I know carbs have such a bad rep but I don't buy into the low carb diets and won't be removing them from my diet.

Wow @ModernRock great job! I am eating about 1300 a day and want to make sure that even if I'm within my range that eating late or right before sleeping isn't tripping me up.

@geneticsteacher do you not see a negative impact eating cereal/crackers late? I feel like it makes a difference when I'm eating something with a lot of carbs very late. (Which is of course what I crave!)

@seltzermint555 I may not be quite as OCD as you but I have noticed a lot of times it is easier to not eat something else after I have gone to the trouble of brushing and flossing!

As far as nutrition, you can better trust anything you make at home because you can control exactly what goes into it. Sometimes it's not just calories but other added ingredients too. But if money was an issue for you in that moment and you took the time to read the nutrition and ingredients I suppose you could let it…

Hey there! I was full vegetarian for about 4 years and while I don't follow a strict veg diet now it still makes up about 3/4 of my meals still. I'd love to have some veg friends too who I can follow what they eat!

I eat 3 meals and two snacks a day and always carry extra raw veggies/fruit just in case. I find that when I eat whole foods with protein and some fat I stay full for longer. What does a normal day for you look like?

I have the charge hr and I've checked it while walking/carrying things/pushing a shopping cart etc and it seems to register what I'm doing. It doesn't track based solely on arm movement.

Massage therapist opinion: get checked out if it is causing you daily pain. There could be a lot of underlying issues the won't just "go away". I just bought my Fitbit and yesterday was my first full day using it. Unfortunately it was a weekend and I wanted to lay around all day so I had to really try to hit that 10k mark. An hour of ping ongoing solved it! Hopefully my numbers will be better during the week.
