You can do it! I hit 200 this year and said NEVER AGAIN. It was so motivating. Take it one day at a time and don't let your emotions get the best of you. It's possible and if you want it, you will make it happen!

My heart breaks for your partner. Breaking up over dietary differences is absurd, unless you were deathly allergic to a food he eats and your very life is in danger as a result. But this... this is strange. I'm sure your confidence level is up due to weight loss and you're feeling a bit high and mighty. Step back and…

Yay! Strength training is amazing and you will love it. So good for the body and so much fun, too! Happy you're getting healthier and happier everyday!

Hi! I feel you 100%. A few years ago, my calves started acting up in a way doctors still haven't even figured out. Whenever I would run, hike, or sometimes even walk vigorously, my calves would stiffen like rocks and the pain was unbearable. Literally touching my calf it felt hard. It was so upsetting and as a result, I…

hey! I totally get your thoughts on America contributing to weight gain. when I lived in Belgium, I ate a lot of really unhealthy stuff but managed to stay small. in the states, I gained weight pretty quickly. I've finally got a handle on my weight and would love to be a friend and motivator if you need it!

you've got this. excited for your journey!

I agree with what everyone has said. You have proven you can do this so don't give up on yourself. Your weight loss isn't for your friends or what they see, it's for you. Keep fighting for you everyday. The reward is so, so worth it!

AJ, I'm sorry but you're making it abundantly clear that you don't know anything about the Whole30 program. Surprisingly, my doctor recommended the paleo diet because of my endocrine disorder so by extension, that includes Whole30. Doctors are in on it, too!

I weigh every day and measure once a week. If you feel the scale is getting into your head, take a break for a week! I personally enjoy the back and forth of the scale - it makes me push harder. :)

Exactly. That IS the reason we have livers... however, not everything is easily processed, and thus over-works the liver, and many things are not meant to be put in our bodies at all. An estimated 30 million Americans live with liver disease. To assume our livers can handle anything is sadly not true.

Ignore the naysayers - Whole30 is a great way to reset your organs and remove toxic buildup. There is SO MUCH junk in modern food that have no place in our bodies. Do what you feel is right for you and disregard people talking you out of it. Whole30 was a great way for me to get my body back on track, we saved a ton of…

You can still have pumpkin spice everything! You can still have lots of the yummy things you love about autumn, but in moderation and within your limits. Getting the body and health you deserve comes from setting limits and I know you can do it! I personally don't buy any of the pumpkin spice stuff at Starbucks or anywhere…

EVERYONE has made a choice similar to this before! don't let the guilt consume you, otherwise you'll get off track. treat your decisions tonight as conscious decisions, take the guilt off, and keep moving. YOU are in control! you've got this.

KIERAN! You are awesome and welcome to MFP. You've come to the right place to start your wellness journey. :) we are all equal here as we all want the same thing. Add me if you'd like a friend and motivator... and welcome!

Such a great success! You're working hard and the numbers prove it. Good luck and keep it up!!!

It's not a failure if you try again. It was a lesson! Luckily, you can find friends on here easily, myself included, who will notice your progress and help keep you motivated! You've got this. Tell yourself you know it will be hard going into it, and it somehow makes it less challenging. :)

Other than the fact that sugar is plain terrible for the body as it tricks the brain into overeating, many Americans are living with bodies that don't treat carbohydrates the same way. I found out only last year that I had an endocrine disorder, resulting in my inability to process carbohydrates properly, and many people…

In addition: - having premade sauces on hand always helps. my husband makes a delicious and basic chimichuri sauce that we add to everything - we make mussels as a cheap week night dinner when we are lacking inspiration - the slow cooker is my best friend! pulled pork, roasted chicken with veggies, you name it. - plant…
