I started with less than the bar for most lifts. I supplemented with cardio and other things like crunches, leg lifts, lunges, etc. I try to put in about an hour at the gym. Personally I keep in a deficit. Lifting doesn't burn a lot of calories, so I very much recommend not eating back the calories burned or eating back no more than half what MFP tells you that you burned. Personally I could not WAIT to get out of the plus size stores. I started in a 24W and am now in a 12 petite. I love love love clothes shopping in the mall now. I can buy stuff on sale! I can buy pretty stuff that doesn't look like a sack. Enjoy it!!! Never step foot in that plus size store again!

Terrific story and very sound, reasonable advice. I love that you don't give "tips and tricks" or anything gimmicky. I'm very proud of you and I really am happy to see this kind of thing. People need to hear more realistic things in terms of how to lose weight. Well done!
