If all else fails, I go to Nordstrom's. Pricy, but they probably have something. Macy's and Dillard's are places to try depending on what area you live in.

It occurs naturally. But unless you are eating a crazy amount of veggies I'd suspect a different food. Chicken is often injected with a sodium solution so it can be high. Salad dressing can be high too. Look at the nutrition content of the foods as you log them. Also, if you don't have medical reasons to avoid sodium don't…

This. I prefer brown rice for some meals, white rice for others. But if it's a restaurant meal that I don't have a choice, I can handle either kind.
-
There apparently is a boar's head low sodium line out now, but I haven't seen it.
-
Somehow halo top and enlightened ice cream are an exception to this rule. They aren't even crazy high in sodium. But do read the labels. I have always read them, but since I got serious about watching sodium for medical reasons I'm doing it for every single thing.

I can beat you on the age- I was reading labels at three. My mom figured out I was reading because I would tell her about the product as she handed it to me to put in the basket , and she realized I wasn't repeating stuff from commercials or in the photos. But I probably did more with nutrition labels at about the same age…

I feel like I stand out when I do that in public. But it's what I was taught so I do it.

I've been on it for endometriosis for years. Yes, I've lost weight.
-
I've stayed away from arctic zero, and halo top is okay and very edible, but enlightened is really good.

Ice cream might have a lot of sugar and fat, but it's not empty calories. It's got a lot of calcium and potassium and the other good things in dairy.
-
I've lost about 20, and still wear the same jeans as before.

This. It's still possible to overeat, but your body doesn't need as much so once it adjusts you might not be as hungry.

I'm an original cheetos fan. And I have run into a lot of adults who are closet cheetos eaters. Nowadays I often keep Pirates booty single serve bags for lunches. They aren't quite the same, but are acceptable.

New York seltzer and skittles here. Both are still favorites. Why yes, I have a sweet tooth.
-
I eat those (starkist) or the bumble bee ones too as part of my lunch often.

Do you have access to a microwave? Some lean cuisines are in that range.
-
Sometimes it's just genetic and not weight. I'd ask for a referral to a registered dietitian in your situation.

Lol. Once you are used to them, it really doesn't slow you down. Look at sumo wrestlers.

Rancid isn't poisonous. But I've seen some of the articles that claim oil produces poisonous compounds. It's amazing we are all alive if that was all true.

But it's still high in saturated fat. I use avocado oil for high heat. I'm not against using it for taste. My confusion is saying it's healthier/safer. I have a variety of oils in my cabinet. Some for flavor, some for different types of cooking. I tend to use grapeseed where canola/rapeseed would be used only because it…

I know. That's why I pointed out that kerrygold butter wasn't clarified. You could turn the cheapest butter in the store into ghee. I'm not sure how removing milk solids makes it healthier or safer, or how an imported butter with all the travel is safer. (I can understand preferring the taste of a specific brand, but…
-
Kerrygold is grass fed butter, not clarified. Clarified butter is ghee. All butter has similar nutrients. Kerrygold is imported- I'd think the travel time would make more chances for something bad to grow in it.

Or just order a burger and water, no fries. Or a kids meal for an adult. Just eat less- mist people don't need all the calories in a fast food meal.
-
I should say- dollar stores tend to have some basic spices. Not the best quality, but if you don't have any from before the job situation, it's better than nothing.
-
It's going to vary depending on your condition. It depends on severity, reason for the kidney issues, and even how it's being treated. Ask your nephrologist.

People have already mentioned my "budget" foods. Potatoes, eggs, pasta, rice.... if you can't afford jarred sauces get some canned tomatoes- diced or puréed, and some cheap Italian seasoning and garlic and onion powders. Canned tomatoes can also be cooked with the rice for variety. Other inexpensive vegetables in the fresh…

I drink a lot of milk- thanks Northern European ancestors! And tried fairlife once. It wasn't bad, but I noticed it went from fine to curdled overnight- no warning like the slight changes in normal milk.

Most people are pointing out that "naturally thin" people are more active and not tempted to finish off the bag if favorite junk food as fast. Or overeat on non special occasions.

Are you aware that everything is a chemical? Dyhydrogen monoxide is one we need to live.

If you have medical issues, ask your doctor. Depending on the issue it can vary a lot from 600-2400. So ask a doctor. I'm at 2000
