  • I lost two sizes in a 10 pound range, but that was in pants, I haven't thought to replace any of my dresses because they have more give to them. The real and only question is where are you comfortable with your weight? If it is 10 pounds lighter and you have lost 60 before than you know what you have to do.
  • I am 37, and I just got to 5 pounds below my lowest adult weight. I buy the groceries, I cook the food, I plan my days, I found it much easier than when I thought about losing weight 10 years ago. I think it is just about where you are in your life more than your age. 10 years ago my kids were little and I my mind was in a…
  • you answered your own question. If you go over your calories 45% of the time that will defiantly slow down weight loss. Adding more calories to that is not going to be the answer.
  • My lab keeps me from at home exercise, he likes to pretend he weighs five pounds and curl up "in" my lap. He also likes to try to show me proper yoga form when we are on the mat. It mostly ends with me just giving up and cuddling him :) and I am very sorry to have made the thread less delightful honestly. I fancy myself a…
  • It would be lovely if we were all dog trainers :) I have worked with him, I have worked with him with a trainer, he now allows people into my home without freaking out and hiding under the bed for an hour (he is not aggressive per say, he is fear aggressive) if approached in a slow manner he allows dogs to interact with…
  • But you see this is why it makes people who do have dog aggressive dogs nervous. When I am walking and I see a dog of leash I always get worried. if your dog is friendly and approaches my dog will bite them. And I am not saying your dog would come over you may have perfect control of them. But I don't know this, so I don't…
  • It can make you more active... My two are pretty happy to lay on the couch and watch Netflix so it is a choice. I have a 6 year old Lab, and a 7 year old puggle and while they love walks they don't demand them or care if they don't get one.
  • so even when you are "not" losing, you are losing almost a pound a week? I think you just got too use to the high loss right at the first, a pound a week is not too shabby at all. It is doubtful that you are gaining muscle eating that few calories (and everyone is going to tell you you need to eat more). It is highly…
  • 1. pure vanity, my pants stopped fitting and that annoyed me. Now I am going to work on fitness just to see what I am capable of. 2. I am about to move a couple of states over to be with my guy and happy relationships can make people complacent.
  • eating slower, I eat so fast I don't know I am full and keep eating. I think if I would just slow down I might not even want as much food.
  • If you are being accurate I would say just wait it out, keep on doing what you are doing for another 2 weeks and see what happens, until then I wouldn't worry too much about the lack of progress.
  • pick very healthy low calorie snacks to have on hand? Raw carrots and celery, rice cakes (I like them though so hate them), I am sure there are lots of thither things but my mind is blanking. Maybe plan those hours instead of meals to be snacks and just figure snacks that add up to the calories you would eat in that time…
  • I am so impressed you came back!! That makes these sorts of posts awesome. Congratulations and you look amazing!
  • Have you ask about wellbutrin or something similar for the SAD?
  • From what I have read meds don't "cause" the weight gain. they can possibly jack with your calorie output some and you will have to play around with that. What lots of them do is make you want to eat more thus messing up your calorie input. Being in a deficit will cause weight loss no matter what, but creating that deficit…
  • I can't even imagine how frustrating this must be. I use to be in great shape, but my losing that was by my own lack of motivation, and it still frustrates me! I will say keep going, keep asking, keep insisting something is wrong. Doctors are only human too and they make mistakes. If you let it just become your norm they…
  • They are all right, I have a long skinny face, and I look older than my older sister with her rounder face. The pros and cons of all things.
  • is it possible you are restricting your calories too far for the weight you have left to lose? We all feel hungry sometimes when we are not... but we also feel hungry when our body actually needs more calories. What are your stats and your goals?
  • I was having this, and it didn't make me happy, I just added two servings of the orange flavored fiber powder to my day.... Magic!! Plus it tastes delicious, so that is a bonus.
  • My guy was not excited when I decided to lose weight, he likes thick women. But what he really likes is me confident and feeling sexy, so now that I am at a weight I am comfortable with, which makes me much more confident he is happy too. just keep loving on him and doing you, I bet he will come around when he sees how you…
  • I forgot lent this year :/ I am not catholic but I have always enjoyed the idea of breaking what we think are addictions for a period of time to remind myself that I control me. I usually give up all added sweetener or coffee. Im a little sad I didn't do it this year!
  • I know it seems impossible but I have finally started drinking it black... for most of the day. I have my first cup like I like it with creamer or milk, and then all day at work I drink it black, but it was a long process and only recently did I say, hmmm not bad lol. There is a silk (as in the soy milk) creamer that is…
  • My fitbit says I should maintain on between 1700 and 2300 depending on the day of the week and who much I move. Im 37 5'9 and 145 pounds. I am going to aim for 2000 for a month or so and see what happens. I simply don't have the time or desire to work out enough to eat more. It is easier for me to say no to extra candy…
  • The Chef at my work keeps telling me I can eat whatever I want as long as I move more. Possibly true if I wanted to spend my days pole vaulting large buildings but I don't, so I think I will stick to watching what I eat.
  • I am with weaning off of the coffee additives. I drink my coffee at home like I like it, and now at work I drink it black (they make it so weak it is doable). But in my experience alcohol makes me retain water for a few days after. So you may be seeing this.
  • In the last two weeks 4 or 5 people close to me have done then "ok that is enough don't loss anymore" thing and I let it worry me that I should stop. But I am 6 pounds away from my goal (which is still in healthy weight for my height not underweight) so I am reminding myself that they are just either not use to seeing me…
  • back at the beginning. If you have lost it before then you know what you need to do.
  • So it isn't any help to this chick since she closed her account but I would guess she might fall into the whole lean people trying to get leaner. I find now that I am within a few pounds of my goal, I don't see the weight loss very often. Still doing the right things but most weeks I see a spike in weight or no loss. Then…
