  • Body fat measured 1/01 = 20.5% BMI = 24.46
  • Hip thrust! As silly as it is, my first time I was doing just the bar (I had no barbell pad) but kept falling/losing balance and wasn't sure how to set it up to actually get reps started. I teared up a little cause I was getting so frustrated that when I went to grab weights after giving up and moving to the next exercise,…
  • Thank you! I am reading off the container, but I'll check when I'm home about the carbs... youre probably right about that, I guess its too good to be true
  • I started pretty heavy but changed my diet - didn't count but ate healthier and weighed some items for portion control. Also was lifting 3-4 times a week, not challenging myself with weights but getting into it again. Started at 182 and probably lost almost 8-10 lbs first month because I was so heavy for my size
  • When I'm cooking on a budget I get whatever type of lean meat is on sale (ground beef or turkey, chicken breast or thighs), with a plethora of frozen vegetables to save $, then sometimes some rice. Add hot sauce, greek yogurt, seasoning and/or salsa to give it some flavor. Very simple to count, can get a little boring
  • I'm 5'5 and 148.. currently a size 6-8 depending on the item
  • One change I try to make is consuming a lot more calories from vegetables. Eating for volume instead of just caloric goals can be really useful to some when it comes to fullness. I can eat a ton of cabbage or broccoli or other veggies and it does add up to a bit of carbs but is better than eating a potato or something less…
  • I agree with the measuring statement. You create a habit with a few exceptions and thats the best I personally can do, and it works. I am also loose with counting vegetables. If I eat two cups of spinach and count 1 because I misjudged it, or broccoli/tomatoes for that matter, at the end of the day I'm eating vegetables…
  • I weighed 182 and I am currently at 149. I started in March and its October now. Admittedly, I spent a month in Europe (Italy and Denmark) where I only lightly considered what I ate, drank frequently. I basically gained 5 back over that time and am seeing the 140s for the first time. I think if you start at 180-170 and…
  • my friend had this idea in college that after a big meal, if you drink a cup of tea or a bottle of water it "washes it away" and makes you feel better. ultimately you feel more full, but it gives this weird idea that you are healthy (green tea) or hydrated from the water. I know it makes no sense and definitely doesn't do…
  • October starting weight : 155.6 October goal : 150 Ultimate goal: 145 (Maybe 140?) 1/10/17 - 155.6 8/10/17 - 153.6 15/10/17 - 22/10/17 - 29/10/17 -
  • I had a very similar experience to this one! I feel like most of my clothes could have fit me pre and post weight loss - but as many said, it was because I was in denial and wearing clothes that were either very baggy or too tight. They fit me now in a looser way but are still wearable - which is a blessing and curse,…
  • Thank you everyone! The worst thing is I KNOW the answers to these questions but just needing like-minded people to calm me down. Thank you for telling me what I'm doing is okay - sometimes I need reassurance
  • 40 pounds is an amazing feat! And so is eating 1600 cal/day while having personal struggle with ED! You should only be proud of yourself and know that some ignorant guy can't take it from you! I would also personally nudge my significant other and expect some backup from a comment like that
  • Best way to deal is check yourself out on break and laugh at their 52 oz sodas and pizza hut.. I work in a call center where everyone eats like *kitten* but I frequently hear phrases like "I don't eat enough to justify how much I weigh"... Well, Yes you do! The best method is just keep your head forward and not complain…
  • Thanks guys.. I'm just anxious about the calorie intake because the dumber me ate too little in the past and relied on cardio.. I know that isn't the way to have a sustainable lifestyle, but my family has a history of some ED and the habits are ingrained a little.. when I weigh myself and see what is obviously water weight…
  • I did IIFYM - I have a sedentary lifestyle right now (I don't count working out when considering this, more like working out is a bonus) - wrote that I work out 3x a week, because I feel like my workouts lately haven't been very intense (I made friends at the gym, BIG mistake lol) When just doing it, I get these results:…
