Thanks, y’all. For those wanting an update I’ve got some mental health and medical issues going on and have just been holding steady and eating at maintenance while I focus on getting better. I’m okay with that as I’m not in any hurry. I’ll get there.

Here’s me with 96 pounds gone. I’m hoping to get to that 100 pound mark soon!

@Mellykay88 Yes!!! What a difference! I’m so proud of you!

Great job @CassieBinTC And I LOVE that black dress on you! Super cute!

I don’t think wanting to find love is asking too much of the universe. Most people want that same thing. I have several friends your age (I’m about the same age as you.) who have also never been married or had kids. Some of them have had some serious relationships, but not all. And it isn’t for lack of trying. I don’t get…

Being more active with my family is honestly the biggest reward from all the hard work of calorie counting (Because that’s really where the work is for me.). I definitely do not miss sitting on the couch 24/7!

I just wanted to pop in and celebrate day 365 of living alcohol free!

Publix makes this delicious potato salad and it goes perfectly with their fried chicken. I still eat it, but not nearly as often. It used to be twice a month and in obscene portions, and in the past year I think I’ve had it 3 times. Honestly, I enjoy it more now that I only have it on occasion and in moderation.

I don’t know how long he’s been at it or what his calorie goal is. That being said, I would still like to offer some advice. When I first started out I actually ate at maintenance for a few weeks before even going into a calorie deficit. Then, I eased into that deficit a little bit at a time instead of going balls to the…

Way to go @kwiris0328 Amazing job!

Recently, I’ve noticed that a lot of labels list serving size AND whole package nutritional information. I hope they all start doing that.

No one can tell you how long to go for really. I started out at 330lbs and I just walked for my exercise. My limit at first was 6 minutes. I took it slow and easy and just gradually built up my stamina. Within 5 weeks I could walk for 30-45 minutes! I was slow as heck, but damn was I proud! Now, 10 months later and I walk…

My latest NSV is that I’ve started running. It makes me so happy! I can only run about 1/4 of a mile, but I do intervals so I end up running about 2 miles total. It’s crazy to think that back in October I could only walk for 6 minutes and now I’m running!

Walking has helped me lose 85 pounds. It earns me extra calories and makes my deficit sustainable. I also find it fun, so it is exercise I enjoy which means I continue to do it.

My golden rule is just to not make any changes that I’m not willing to live with forever. That means not going super aggressive and burning out, no fad diets, no demonizing foods, no crazy exercise routines that I loathe... it is actually working for me because it has made the process simple and even fun.

Maybe prelogging your day would help if you feel like you get obsessive with calorie counting (or if you’re just tired of calorie counting in general). Then, you only really have to think about calories once a day while you’re planning what to eat. Also, diet breaks (where you eat at maintenance for 2 weeks) might be…

I’m getting ready to ditch MFP and just track on the Fitbit app.

I miss being able to wear my husband’s shirts.

Hang in there! It will all go back to normal soon!

How have I lived for almost 36 years and not had fried ravioli?! It sounds delicious!

I know it’s been said already, but you don’t need a “perfect” week to make progress at this. You just need to be consistent and keep going. I regularly have days where I do not eat at a deficit, but I have kept at it for 8 months and have made progress like I never would have believed possible. I think it helps that I log…

I tried so many of them and I do not like them either! I just stick with frozen yogurt because I love that stuff!

You guys can add me if you would like. I started out at 330 pounds with a goal of losing 200. I’m 73 pounds closer to that goal now, but still have a ways to go. If you need encouragement and common sense advice I’m your girl!

I don’t always respond, but just wanted to say I love reading these posts and I’m so proud of each of you!

@amberellen12 Maybe you could use an actual beer can and rinse it out. Then, just fill it with what you want? I hate that you will get bugged and feel pressured to fit in!
