  • Morning all. Been a while since I posted. I redid the floor in my daughters room last weekend for her birthday and managed to strain my back pretty bad so have been taking the last week off (the floor looks nice though). Planning to ski with the family of Friday so am taking this week off of exercise as well. Managed to…
  • In an effort to combat my recent "half-assededness" in working out I have gone back to BCAA supplements. I hoping that even if just mental it will get me back in the groove. I have been sliding in the wrong direction recently. Still working out 3 times a week (mostly) but at a lower intensity and eating poorly. The scale…
  • Quick checkin. Did 45min of p90x arms and shoulders this morn (mentally couldnt sych myself up for kettlebells so thought I would switch it up). Back to feeling tired all the time these days and noy exactly sure how to snap out of it. All in all things are good down about half of what I added during the last few months of…
  • Tired today. Did a workout this morn but dragging butt. @sdereski I love the snowshoeing pics you have been posting. We used to go a fair bit pre-kids but they jave been gathering dust ever since. There is something amazing about cutting first tracks through the woods. Anyone else looking forward to a potential williams…
  • Late start today but did Providence over lunch. Thankfully the rain has stopped here and the snow appears to be gone in the city.
  • Finally recovered from my yearly run. Thinking I will need to ramp up my frequency there and @djproulx hopefully i can avoid the compression sleeves. Did AOS Providence this morning and am getting back to the routine.
  • So I enjoyednmy run yesterday but today?.....not so much. Well done those of you who run regularly. Whatever that muscle is on the front of my shin in definitely hurting. Would not have guessed that one would of been sore. Might have to up my frequency from a run every 13 months :). Flying back today (I arrive 5 hours…
  • Did a 8.5km run today and then a 10k walk around Sydney....hot
  • @gam3rguy Is flipping furniture a new job or new hobby? :) Glad to see so many new kids and doubly happy to see all the old stalwarts still working away. I did AOS Newport today. First the excuses: I watched it off my phone, without headphones, with a huge fan running in the background, with questionable hotel kettlebells…
  • AOS Providence done
  • @TmacMMM Happy Birthday @b3achy That day we were at Grouse Mountain which is one of the local mountains in North Vancouver. Not particularly large but 15minutes door to door from my house (if you look really hard you could see our house in the photo :) ) @gam3rguy that's alot of tire flips!
  • @IUFAN16 This is a tough question to answer because there are so many types. I would suggest taking a look at the site videofitness.com and go through their categories and reviews to see what appeals to you. Once you have narrowed it down a bit you can take a look. The 3 big players in DVD style fitness that are very…
  • AOS Providence done
  • back to the weights tomorrow. Vacation and poor eating to stop (hopefully). Did have a great day of skiing with the family yesterday. Amazing visibility although half the mountain was closed due to winds (chairlift closed).
  • Kettlebells yesterday (no new DVDs for Christmas) Working today while the rest of the family goes tobogganing. Dads vs sons hockey tonight against the 7 year olds :)
  • Skiing yesterday with the family 25cm over the previous 24hr. Great weather but busy! Great to get back out though. Skipping my workout today (sore knee and wrist) back to it tomorrow.
  • Merry Christmas cool kids
  • Providence (again) this morning. Hoping for some new DVDs this christmas. :) The rains have returned so dreams of a white Christmas are literally melting away. Hopefully snow on the mountains though.
  • Providence again this morning. Much better than Monday.
  • Finally home. 17 days away, 208hrs worked, 1 workout and 8 lbs gained. Happy to be home for snow! Did Providence today and had my butt handed to me.
  • I'm jealous you have bridge friends. My wife and I play SAYC socially but we haven't found partners yet. We tend to get made fun of by people who don't play. I don't understand how people can love Euchre and not want to play Bridge (adult Euchre :) )
  • Been a terrible week and a half for me. Working 12-16hr days every day, sleeping about 3-7hrs a night, and eating out every meal (so not very healthy) coupled with only one workout since I arrived here. Good to see the rest of you keeping up. Hope to get back on track when I get home at the end of next week.
  • So I am living in a hotel for the next few weeks on a job. The hotel gym has a flat bench and dumbbells only with limited space and a carpeted floor that I do not want to do floor work on. :/ First world problems for sure but frustrating. Varied lifts- done :)
  • 5 min plank today. I need to get back into the weights though
  • Me too me too!! Day 30 5:00min hold done :) . Wow i have never wanted to quit something more in my life. I am still twitching. Amazing I did not think I could do that. Thanks @alipsie19 and @Serenade_N knowing you pushed through and made it to 5min was the motivation I needed. BTW I am NOT going any further. Mao Weidong's…
  • So in order to sych myself up that 5min is doable I looked up the world record for planking. The men’s World Record for the longest time held in a plank is 4 hours 26 minutes, achieved by Mao Weidong of China in Beijing, China on 26 September 2014. Before this, the record was held by American George Hood who held a plank…
  • Good luck today. I am holding off until evening hoping to see a trio of 5 min posted by the end of the day :)
  • Thank guys. I could not be the only one to miss the day.
  • Day 29 - 4:30 done. Thank goodness it is over. Tomorrow is going to be a true test of mental toughness
  • Day 28 4:00. Why do my thighs hurt so much? Travelling all day tomorrow but will see. I find it hard to consider going longer :#
