Hope everyone had a blessed CHRISTmas and happy Hanukkah!

Got some walking done while in VA. Temps in mid to low 40'sF both day...and forgot my knit cap. Still got in 2.88 and 2.86 miles of walking in on Sunday and Monday. Saturday and Today were filled with airport walking...though I also pulled an all-nighter cleaning my house before I left (didn't realize it was so bad until I got into it). Relaxing at home tonight after 9 hours of traveling, but the weather looks great for some paddling tomorrow (80F and smooth conditions).

    Hello and HHD!!!!

Strength: Shortcut to size, month 2, Week 1, do over Chest, Triceps and Calves

    Cardio: None

I'm back! did not work out in almost 4 weeks while I was away visiting family! so today's workout just about killed me! but it was so good to be back to what I love doing!
seems I have lost strength while away, and I was such naughty eater too, so, gained some weight as a result, but that's nothing to worry about, I am determined to get to even a better shape than my pre-holiday! have to put those extra calories I eat to good use!

    B) Had a lovely afternoon paddling (nearly 2 hours; 4.7 miles)...so needed the water time. Smooth conditions; sunny; 80F; clear water. Great day to be out. Feeling much less like a blob.

Good to see the cool kid regulars are back out in force today.

@tojo_73 Sounds like a fun day skiing. Been awhile since we had a family ski trp. Id be sore after a day on the slopes.

Survived a swim test today. 20 min warm ups, then 400yd test, 2 min rest, then 200 yd test, then recover. As I expected, I've lost some swim speed, but I lived through it.

On a related note, replaced my old Polar M400 with a Garmin 920XT this week. WOW. The thing is slick. It counts strokes, laps, time, etc. in both pool and open water swimming, and of course does all the bike, run and heart rate functions well. After the swim, I walked into the house and it picked up the wifi signal and uploaded my swim workout automatically. Its synced to both MFP and my Training Peaks account. Incredible what these devices can do.

Now I just need one that will do the swimming for me and I'll be all set. ;)

One more awesome day on the water today! Sunny and 80F, though a bit windy with some more than 'light chop' as forecasted (still say white caps means at least 'moderate chop'). Only did a little over an hour for 2.52 miles, but it was still a nice day. Know tomorrow is going to be cooler and windy and Saturday isn't looking much better, so I'm expecting them to be gym days.
