  • Update: turns out my stomach cannot tolerate the Erythitol. I thought I was having reactions to metformin, but I see the pattern of stomach issues after eating erythitol and other sugar alcohols now. Going to try Yacon syrup and Lacuma powder and just ordered from Amazon. I think my nutritionist will like these better…
  • back to report progress about 20lbs down, 10 more to go! Shooting for beginning of December and maybe exceed my goal by christmas! Love all the others here with the same goals!
  • I follow a limited carb diet and check my blood sugar. 30-45g carbs each meal and 15 g carbs for snack and it has worked wonders! Trying to avoid too many fake sugar items, but have been making a few for desserts and it really helps getting through any cravings. Also dark chocolate, whipped butter, and olive oil help.
  • Thank you everyone for sharing.... I am about to start my first round of clomid, trigger shots, and progesterone end of November. Had miscarriage early last August at 9 months (stopped at 6 months). For some reason I feel stronger now going into this, the first time I got pregnant it really caught me off guard. I think it…
  • It's all so complicated! The good news is that this is the best place I've find to discuss these issues. The pregnancy and TTC websites are pretty awful IMO. You might avoid those as a side note.
  • Oh also I'm on 1500 mg of metformin also now and working on new low carb lifestyle and losing weight. I've lost about 15 lbs since pregnant and I am feeling better. Also 20 mins excersize everyday (recumbant bike) Got pregnant first time on 500 mg metformin. My doctor's now say that is a weird dose and typically they…
  • Hi there, I really appreciate this thread and I'm really glad you found a good doctor. I just had a miscarriage and I have PCOS. It sounded to me like you had an early misscariage like me. I have the type of PCOS that causes me to bleed and not stop as opposed to the type that makes you not bleed. My body tried to regulate…
  • Good luck getting back to it! Ps- I would love to be 263 lbs!
  • I took it for about a year before getting married and worked great. Although I was still on BC then so acne was mostly here and there on my back. I don't recall side effects. I've been on BC again the last couple months and it's really helping.
  • well, I did a bookmark and that was the best I could figure out for now...
  • this is dumb but how do I join this group or tag this so I can keep up with the gang?
  • I want to join that is the exact amount I was thinking! But hoping for early december before my birthday!
  • Hi there, just wanted to share an update as I skipped the flare up all together last month! I had a really bad new one on my inner thigh in a different spot the month before last. For the first time I had to use a syringe to drain it. I know that is gross and frowned apon but I used alcohol wipes and surgical gloves and…
  • Howdy guys, I recently went off birth control, and found out I have probably had PCOS since I was 12 years old. I totally understand the person who said they were scared to tell their mom for 9 years. I've had so many times when I thought I had an std over the years. So I just wanted to share what I do for relief. I…
  • Hi guys, just wanted to offer an update. I have tried a few new things this month. first, I have been consistent in washing with hibiclens and using vitamin E and tea tree oil cream everyday. This has slowed the size of the issue this month. When it did start re-occuring I used boil ease for about 3 days and this reduced…
  • Unjury is so great. 100 calories for a large amount. My dietician has worked with weight loss surgeons and in hospitals for years and that is what they give patients. You can buy online in convenient small serving size packs. They even have flavorless and chicken broth flavor
  • Gosh this stuff is no joke. Well thank you both for discussing and sharing tips. I really hope you all feel better and find relief, although I know that is hard. It is nice to have support.
  • Gosh, that sounds so painful, and I've heard of the areas staying open and that just seems so hard. Thank you for sharing and I hope he feels better in the future. It is good to hear he was able to go on disability, I can imagine that must have been so hard. Thanks so much again it is nice to have others to discuss with.
  • Deem114- I'm so glad you did post! It is super helpful to hear your husband's story and know that there are others out there. I have been using tea tree oil and it really helps. I do have one question for you. Did your husband ever try and lance or use a syringe to take the liquid out? Or does he drain them daily with…
  • Hey guys! so sorry I haven't responded and thanks for sending me a message to check my post replies. I am sort of glad that others have this, not glad you have it because it sucks, but just glad there are friends to discuss with! KnitorMiss I am so sorry that sounds painful. So mine is on my very inner thigh and the last…
  • Sorry correction it is called 'Hibiclens'
  • Thanks guys, yes that is it KnitOrMiss! I've read many posts online about doctors not knowing what it is. I wish I would have known sooner but just glad to know now. 'Hipaclens' is a medical grade body wash that is supposed to help. I am picking some up and will let you know how it goes.
  • Hi there, I take progesterone pills for 10 days every month on the 20th. I am starting them today for example. I have found that they help a good deal with keeping my cycle consistent. I do have side effects which are tender breasts (they are pretty sore) and pretty intense PMS like mood swings. I have to remind myself…
  • I use kinect for working out and I love it. Very similar, the best part is you don't have to get all dressed up in workout clothes and try and look decent, I just hop into my living room in whatever I'm wearing and work out for 30 mins. Also I feel like I'm playing games instead of grinding to get a boring workout in.
  • wow two husbands! one is hard enough for me. haha ; ) good for you.
  • one more thing- I buy chicken in bulk at costco then I will bake a whole package and have it in the fridge. I don't really eat a lot of meat, so I will have a bit, but my husband will eat it all week. Make some rice to keep in there too and he will get pretty filled up on chicken and rice. He can add bread and butter too.…
  • some ideas for meals: red beans and rice. you can add canned tomatoes and green peppers and have a salad with yours. He can eat 3 bowls and be filled up. You can make this on a very tight budget buying red beans and brown rice in bulk at costco Another one I've done recently is annies macaroni and cheese with tons of…
  • Hi there, I have had two husbands and both were skinny compared to me. My current husband isn't as tall and he watches what he eats. He is supportive, but can be a little judgy sometimes, but he just wants me to be healthy. My first husband was a real *kitten* and was tall and could eat whatever he wanted and have a…
  • oh cool...I have been drinking peppermint tea here and there....wonder if that does anything. I do have mild asthma and didn't notice anything. I have noticed that I get asthma after eating high fat foods though. I will pick up some spearmint next time I see it!
