It's important to remember that just because something is vegan, it doesn't mean that it is healthy. Lots of vegan treats, snacks, sweets, Daiya cheese pizzas, etc etc are very high in calories and fat (just like their non-vegan counterparts) I was vegan for many years( I've been a vegetarian for most of my 30yr life) and…

You should watch a documentary on Netflix called "sugar coated". It's about the history of sugar in the US and its dangers etc etc it's super interesting!

I will say that since losing some weight (15lb down from the 20 I wanted to lose) I find myself more critical of friends who are over weight and unhealthy and unwilling to do anything about it. I often wonder if I'm just taking out my frustration with my old self on them.

I have this "problem" as well. I don't force myself to eat the rest of the calories ( if we're talking under 200). Instead I make a mental note and the next day I'm over 50 or 100 that week, I just don't stress about it because I know that I've also gone under on another day.

To each their own, but I guess I just don't see the point. I much rather eat healthy every day.

I don't know why people are freaking out. If you cook at home, this could be a great size meal. Lots of veggies, salads, soups etc. I just looked back at some of my days to check and most of my lunches and dinners are 200-300. I eat a big breakfast and snack too.

Being patient. Wouldn't it great if we could all meet our goals overnight :)

While I agree with this article and find it very interesting I think there is something to be said about the importance of how excersize makes you FEEL. I dropped a quick 10lbs on MFP (I only had 30 to drop) with eating at a deficit and excersize. And I instantly felt great. I kinda stalled there, struggling to drop under…

This^^^^ thank you!

Regardless of diagnosis, I would eat whichever way makes you feel good and heathy and happy.

We're the same weight/height. You should give some excersize videos a chance. They range from kickboxing to yoga to dance. Or if you like the outdoors you should just try going for a bike ride. Honesty, I always hated excersizing in the past. But the more I do, the better it makes me feel. Now it feels as though I'm…

But...Why

Boobs and hips always go first. It's really unfortunate . If only I could only lose weight from my legs and belly and keep the rest of my body the same :s

Beet juice is amaaaaaazinggggg.

Try them in the oven cut up like fries and throw just a little olive oil and tons of seasoning on there. I especially like Brussel sprouts in the oven with sweet potatoes, onions, broccoli, I mean any and all veggies really

I weigh myself every day, except for the week I'm on my period, those days I pretend that I don't own a scale.
-
Do you have the same problem with fruit/veggie smoothies/juices/soups? If you haven't tried having them this way, it might be worth a try.

Eat SLOWER! I've heard people say that it takes 10mins for your brain to realize that your tummy is full. This generally works for me. I eat most of my food and then wait a few minutes. If I'm still hungry, I eat the rest. But 90% of the time, waiting the 5-10 mins, makes me realize I'm really not hungry anymore. And if…

Also I do second what someone else said above. I used to HATE excersizing until I started forcing myself to go to the gym, and now I just love how it makes me feel! I feel myself getting stronger and now I challenge myself every time to do the stationary bike faster or lift heavier. On days that I don't go to the gym I…

Eating at a calorie defeciet for sure, and then try to do things like go for long walks or go hiking or bike riding. All are great excersize even if you don't look at them as such.

I had someone tell me something similar a few months back and I actually did START doing the couch to 5k app (and I only did it twice) before I remembered how much I HATED running. Now I do everything BUT. I ride my bike, do kickboxing videos, go to the gym and do the machines maybe 3 times a week- and most importantly eat…

I have this same problems because the weekends usually also mean going out to dinner or even going out for drinks. I try to deal with this by doing some cardio in the mornings so that way I have some extra calories on those days. Also Monday mornings I get back to working hard on my diet and excersize

If you're willing to spend some money.. Daily burn is great. It's the cost of your monthly Netflix or Hulu subscription. I swear by it. They have everything from beginners classes to yoga yo boxing to kickboxing to Pilates to dance.
-
I can't either. I normally do push-ups on an incline, like feet on the ground/arms on a chair seat or table.
-
Lol those were my thoughts exactly
-
I normally don't go but the other day was at the mall and starving so I got a salad bowl, with tomatoes, corn, peppers , tofu and guac, dressing on the side. And it didn't do any damage.

I heard someone explain this once by saying that your stomach expands and also shrinks over time depending on how much you eat. So yes, since eating less (due to logging my calories and snacking less), now I literally cannot eat as much as I used to in one meal, and feel fuller faster.

I was just about to post about daily burn on here. I LOVEEEE all the True Beginner programs . I also love the Kickboxing Interval Training with Judi. You should definitely check that one out if you haven't yet. Its ranked as "medium" and it usually kicks my butt! The only thing that weirds me out about DB is their…
