I'm a 58 year old female on a ton of psychotropic meds and I lost 50 pounds three years ago and have kept it off all this time by logging all my food on MyFitnessPal.com and by staying within my caloric limit and by never drinking my calories. And also by never drinking diet pop. I drink only plain tap water and plain,…

Artificial sweeteners have been repeatedly scientifically proven to increase cravings for sweets, and that's why I avoid them. I rarely partake of alcohol because I don't like it that much and it has too many empty calories.

I've been counting calories to maintain my weight of 150 lbs. for 2 and a half years now and everything is going good. I plan on counting calories the rest of my life.

I quit doing yoga because it took too long to do. Now,, I am doing 100 burpees a day, spread throughout the day. A lot easier. I still play piano.

Well, that's just what I had been reading. That people who drank diet soda tended to be just as fat as people who drank regular soda, according to studies. All I know is that when I quit drinking diet soda, the weight started dropping off of me like a waterfall. And that's no exaggeration.

It's been all over the news and the internet.

This is just me, but I practice yoga and I like to do it for short, half hour periods every single day. I have serious troubles with motivation. More so than your average person. But, if I can get into the habit of doing something everyday and at the same time everyday, I can overcome my apathy.

Thank you.

I'd like more friends. Right now, I only have one. Not that I'm knocking him. He's a good friend.

I'm 56 years old and postmenopausal for 3 years, and loving it. What freedom! I've lost 50 lbs with MFP, and have been keeping it off for years now. My secret is careful calorie tracking with MFP everyday, weighing myself and recording every week, and absolutely NO diet pop or artificial sweeteners. Drinking only water or…

I've been amazingly successful with MFP. Logging all my calories with nothing more than guesse's as to the calorie contents. I purposefully overestimate calories. And, instead of one exercise strategy, I incorporate two to three, almost daily. I've been doing this in one way or another, for years. And I've never seen the…

I've lost 50 lbs, over I don't know how many years, of tracking, maybe 2 years. I've been in maintenance, over the last 6 months or so, and tracking, all this time, with good effect. Now, in the last 4 days, I have been literally too busy to do my usual meal tracking and have missed tracking quite a few meals. I have…

What helped me was doing a lot of research on the internet for "tips and secrets to losing weight". I found so much information, and so much of it was very valuable and useful.

I am a long time maintainer (2 years or more), and I am literally addicted to sugar. Can't live without it. I allow myself a very sweet, sticky dessert every evening at dinner, and another for a snack every day and I just track those into my calorie tracker every day. I never eat chips or salty processed food or fast food.…

I track my calories consistently every day, weigh myself and record every am, restrict calories to maintenance levels every day, aerobic exercise everyday, drink water exclusively everyday, eat nutritiously evey day, 3 meals per day with 1-2 snacks per day, eat breakfast every day, and drink plain, black coffee every day.

How do you request friends directly?
-
Yes, please add me! I'm an active tracker and an active exerciser and MFP user and I would like support after years of going it alone.

I lost 50 pounds, after 20 plus years of no luck on the scale. How did I do it? Well, If you drink any kind of pop, diet or otherwise, quit immediately. That's my first suggestion. Drink water instead . Worked for me. Second, its good to exercise every day. Take 2 days off, if you must. But, the most important two things…

Meaning, I need to ask my doctor about how long I've been at my current weight.

It's possible with MyFitnessPal. I am living proof. I tried unsuccessfully to lose weight for over 20 years. I was 50lbs. overweight. I quit drinking diet pop and started drinking water, and counting my calories, and exercising every day, and the weight started falling off. I am now staying at goal weight with no problem.…

I've stayed at my maintenance weight of 150 lbs. with no problem, for the last 2 years. I am a 5 ft. 8.5 in. female, 56 yrs old. I eat a whole wheat cereal with a half a glass of OJ for breakfast, with 4 oz of vegetable juice, most mornings. I have a flavored Greek yogurt for lunch, and a big, old fashioned, home cooked…

I'm a 56 year old, formerly obese female with a long history of unsuccessful dieting. Today I eat whatever I want, whenever I want, however much I want. All I do is keep track of every calorie I put in my mouth, and make sure I've burned off all excess calories by the end of the day, through exercise. And it doesn't take…

I'm a 5'8" female. And I usually eat anywhere from between 1450 - 1850 calories. Although today I ate 2000.

I'm a pianist. I have no trouble keeping my weight within normal BMI. It is now at 22. And all I do for exercise is: Practice piano for 30 -60 min. a day, at a slow pace. Practice Hatha yoga for 2- 3 times a week, for 30 min. each time. Practice "Chair"-Range of Motion exercises, for one hour, once or twice a month.…
