For me it's not so much an increased appetite but a craving for some specific type of comfort food. I'm fighting off an infection in my plumbing right now and all I want to eat is some beef stew (made a big pot on Monday).

I'd go with your home scale. There are many factors that fluctuate our weight throughout the day. Ingesting solids and liquids, elimination of waste, daily metabolic processes can IIRC change the scale number as much as 4-5 lbs over the course of a day. Like @ seska422 says, it won't tell you your estimated weight in 5 weeks if you don't complete your day. All of your information will be retained and it won't cause you any stress by having that number shown to you.
