Every morning, naked, after going to the bathroom, before ingesting anything...I find it removes the most variables possible and gives the best data for my scale app to build a trend line

One of my favourite quotes is "I stopped caring so much what other people thought of me when I realized how rarely they do". Most people are too consumed with their own insecurities to bother with yours...even if they do comment, nine times out of ten they are really talking about their own issues

My guess is eating in private. Also I found a lot of peace of mind in my life when i let other people worry about their own diets and focus on my own ❤
-
That should end up at 8 pounds off over two months. For me that was almost a full size down.

Weighing will never be a perfect science. Some weeks you will retain water due to salt, hormones, muscle repair...others you may have more or less food moving through your digestive tract.

I'm 5'2 and it is set to sedentary. 1700 calories is maintenance for me. I have 40 pounds to lose. 1 pound a week is not unreasonable. I do eat back my excercise calories. Thank you for your concern....and your assumptions and judgment 😜
-
Yup. It doesn't even matter if it is in 6 hours. Stick to your calorie deficit and it will come off. I personally do find that putting my first meal off till later helps me to be less hungry throughout the day but there is no magic in it
-
What I used to do on these days was to allow myself a maintenance day. I would go out before the wedding and get a really great workout in, have a really calorie light breakfast and lunch and then do my best to make healthIER choices like fish instead of steak with mash. Vodka soda instead of beer, etc. We are allowed to…

I do believe that we absorb energy from the earth as well as the sun, when you think about it the planet is kind of a giant electro magnet (I don't mind being wooed. There are more things on heaven and earth than your philosophy dreams of). I don't know much about the blanket but if it works for you then enjoy it❤
-
For me it is because I am 5'2. My maintenance is 1700 calories a day so a very reasonable one pound per week puts me at 1200 calories a day. Probably half of the people talking about this number are in my boat...it's kind of a sucky boat cause 1200 calories is not a lot. The other half are eating (or trying to eat) what is…

A mama burger from A&W will do the trick with half the calories.

I don't think anyone was judging. Many many people have had issues with alcohol and when we see red flags, we tend to wish we could open other people's eyes BEFORE they get where we went (but that doesn't seem to be possible). I hope you are right that it is no big deal but maybe just look at the research a little and see…

I think the trick is knowing how much you burned ABOVE what your body would normally burn at rest. If you eat ALL the calories that your calculator says you burned during that exercise period, some are already allotted for in your daily goal. I found eating back half of what calculators said I burned was a good short cut.

Vanity sizing is a marketing term for lying about what size the clothes are. I'll take a 12 please...oh! This is too big, I guess I need a 10...I feel so skinny, I'll take it! It doesn't mean the person buying it is vain. It's just the name of the practice. It's widely known to happen...like I am 5'2, 165 pounds and I wear…

I apologize. I assumed we were all talking about medically supervised vlcd. I do not support someone who is morbidly obese starving themselves on a whim.
-
I feel like part of the family❤❤❤ getting wooed for saying something basic and rational ❤❤❤
-
I suppose it may be debatable, most things are. It seems to be a reasonably accepted medical course though, so I will err on the side of the specialists since this is all conjecture anyway. Happy debating
-
The risks of being that obese outweigh the risks from living on too few calories.

I weigh every morning, naked, after bathroom, before food or drink. It removes as many variables as possible. Then I add the number to my weight trend app, libra so that I can focus on the overall trend that my weight is on rather than today's weird fluctuation. I don't get too fussed about any one measurement and I find…

Download libra! You will love it! (It's a weight trend app)

Fair enough. I just googled it and for 10 pounds of extra muscle you only gain approximately 30 calories burned at rest...not enough for a significant difference. Oh well...it was worth a shot
-
Also...I caught the humour in the post and got that you were fully intend6on returning it. ❤

We literally just had it out in my house over people "stealing" the good apples. The boy was upset that the girl removed them from our fridge and took them to hers (she lives in the basement apartment). My daughter was upset that that he invaded her space to take them back. Simple answer...I will go buy more apples today…

First I will say that I am not an expert (obviously). I know that starvation mode isn't a thing. But I have a question. If metabolism is how many calories our bodies burn at rest, and bigger muscles burn more calories at rest, and eating less than the minimum required calories can lower our muscle mass...does it not follow…

I tried to post a picture of canadian cigarette packages for reference but I don't seem to be able to. To be clear I think ALL the health problems with direct links should be included and that advertising, in giving packaging, and enticing children should be actively banned.

I found that when actually broke down and measured my portions I was SHOCKED at how small serving sizes were. Maybe weingnout some of your more often eaten meals and saving them for quick adds might be of help. I have also found it helpful to break the day down into sections...I have 400-450 calories for my late…
