Ok, so as long as it's definitely 12g = 45 cal, I'm good. I was just confused in case I'd been eating twice the calorie amount without realising or something. I dunno. Anyway, I've changed the food entry I've been using from 2 tbsp to 12g and I'll weigh it from now on!

You have to go to the web page rather than the app. Once you're logged into the web page, find settings then diary settings.

I didn't track them for the first week and still lost, but that's because I set my calorie goal low enough to compensate for the extra untracked calories. But now I track them all, and track them by grams to make sure it's accurate.

Someone who ditches their long term partner because of their weight isn't someone you'd need in your life anyway. So, bright side - the biggest thing weighing you down took care of itself. I have around 200ish to lose but no particular time line in which to lose it. Stick to the calories MFP gives you - don't try to lose…

25lbs is do-able. If you set your loss to 1lbs a week and log all your food/drinks, you could reach your goal by, what? Christmas? Exercise isn't necessary unless you want to, so don't stress over the limitations set by your disability.

When it comes up to send them a message, click their name again and it'll take you to a page with a little icon on the right hand side of the page and if you click that, it'll send them a friend request.

It's hardly posting your life story to mention that eating under your recommended calories isn't an every day regular thing, but ok. I don't understand being defensive when people were trying to be helpful and benefit you.

I have turned off the commented/posted/liked/completed status updates because I figured no one gives a crap about that. I've kept the lost weight one though, but more for my own benefit than anything. I am starting to post more updates/thoughts though, so if anyone wants to add me, please do.

Giiiiiirl, yes. I totally understand what you're saying. And I get the frustration too, because it's not like we can just stop eating or avoid places that serve food. It's like asking an alcoholic to just drink a little bit - IT DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT! That said, I've been using MFP for the past week and I've found it does…

To be fair, you posted on a public forum filled with people who, for the most part, take their health - or at least their calorie intake - pretty seriously. Most people aren't going to be like, "here's a way around that - keep doing what you're doing" because they understand that consistent inadequate calories isn't…

I've been eyeing up the flavoured Super Greens powder from the Protein Works website. I bought the unflavoured kind a few years back and NOPE NOPE NOPE. I couldn't stomach it, it was like literal swamp water. But apparently the flavoured kinds are tolerable, so I'll give it a try. I don't know how much I believe the "one…

Isn't 6-8% for men normal? I'm sure it is.

You can make "nice cream" from frozen bananas. Just slice and freeze some bananas and then throw them into a blender and let it run until it becomes like soft serve ice cream. You can add things to it as well. But I have brown butter pecan ice cream planned for this weekend because, well, brown butter pecan...

Maybe she means she was eating too far under her recommended calorie allowance so when she hit the thing to complete her diary for the day, MFP suggested eating more?

I don't think it's spam, I just don't think she realises she needs to elaborate or address specific comments instead of just writing half a sentence and hitting post. I think she's saying she heard you need to eat more to lose more weight through Weight Watchers, and wants to know if MFP is accurate in terms of calorie…

I like using frozen pineapple, water, half a lime (like, the actual lime - not just the juice) and bit of sugar or sweetener to taste.

I like overnight oats with chia seeds. I usually do 30g oats + 15g chia seeds + 150ml milk of some sort. I flavour it with different things like cinnamon, vanilla, a tablespoon of Choc Shot, peanut butter, mashed banana, etc.

Lean pork in Chinese 5 spice, soy sauce, garlic, ginger and chilli? Chicken marinated in jerk/harissa/tikka/Thai seasonings? Fish with lemon & parsley? I don't prep much but I do cook a lot from scratch. When I get bored, I tend to look around for a new spice or marinade or seasoning I've never tried before. I don't know…

Thank you for all the advice! I'm going to continue this week at 1600 calories + uncounted fruits and vegetables just to see if or how it affects my predicted 2lbs loss, and then starting Monday I'll switch to MFP's recommended allowance and log everything. I was thinking about it last night, and I realised that MFP will…

Ohhh, OK, that makes sense. Thanks!
