Between my asthma and back issues, I am unable to do all the walking that I've done in the past. That has presented some problems because now I have to focus more on food rather than activity to keep the weight in check (for the most part). Getting old sucks. But it beats the alternative. Coffee -- Hazelnut creamer :)

I always taste before salting. I have a friend who I go out to dinner with quite often and the first thing he does is reach for the salt shaker. And then COMPLAIN because is food is too salty!

Here. Waiting for the snowpocalypse to begin here LOL

I still use my spreadsheet to record daily weights. In addition, I have a column for comments where I make notes of things that might have had an impact on whether I gained or lost. Or if it's just something I need to remember. I have spreadsheets set up for every year since 2012 so I also go back to see where I was at…

Just coffee (with Hazelnut creamer) so far. I'm not hungry yet. I'll have something later; but not sure what it will be. Yesterday was a leftover baked potato, diced and "fried" with some onions. With sour cream. About 10:00. LOL

Ditto! As I (continue to) age, I find that my weight is sometimes a very low priority. I still hate journaling in any, way, shape, or form; but, as bad as I hate to admit it, it DOES work. Sometimes just entering something I'm about to eat or drink and seeing what it does to my daily calorie intake is enough to make me…

I just don't think I can go back to WW (as it is now OFFICIALLY called even though we called it that for YEARS!). I have friends who are leaders (now called wellness coaches?) who have said that membership is at an all-time low. There are just too many options available now -- and most of them are free. Want to do Keto?…

@steve0mania LOL...I thought about that when I "saw" you here this morning. Right now it probably would be much of a competition. At 144.3 this morning -- 4.3 above my WW goal weight.

I don't do a lot of recipes. I do cook quite frequently (more since retiring!); however, I sort of just "wing it" with things I'm familiar with. I have decided that I'm going to try some recipes I've seen on a Keto Facebook page. In fact, my plan is to try a new recipe once a week. I've gotten sort of into a rut with my…

Nope. Just decided it was time to check in every once in a while :) That and the fact that I need to do SOMETHING...so it might as well be journaling on MFP again. I do lurk here occasionally. The last time I entered a weight here was in May of 2019! But I'm happy to say that I'm down 3 pounds since then. LOL

Nope. Really not following WW. Using MFP for tracking.

1) Less bread and pasta 2) Pay more attention to portion control (start weighing and measuring again <sigh>) 3) Incorporate more vegetables into things

I'm starting 2020 3.5 pounds higher than 1/1/19. It *could* have been much worse. Of course I was also up 5 pounds last year from where I was on 1/1/18 so things are definitely going in the WRONG direction! I'm now 8.5 pounds above my official WW goal weight :(

Long time no see guys :) I've been having password issues for the site for some reason. But I'm here :)

As bad as I hate to admit it -- weighing, measuring, and tracking.
