  • The recipe I used was this one, with my own modifications. I would've used applesauce if I had some, instead of the coconut oil. http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2011/02/18/banana-bread-for-one/
  • I found a single serving recipe for banana bread online. They do single serving cookie recipes, carrot cake, etc. I doubled the banana bread recipe, added some PB2 and divided it between 6 small silicone liners. 91 cal a piece. 60g ripe banana, mashed 30g coconut oil, melted 60g plain flour (I used spelt) 10g PB2 3 tbsp…
  • When you entered the recipe, didn't it ask for a serving size? Just write 100g in the serving size section. I create all my own food entries and put 100g as the serving size regardless of what it is. So 100g chicken, 100g rice, 100g PB2, etc. Then if it weighs less - like PB2 - I'll put 0.15 of a serving and it comes up as…
  • Grill them or place them on a wire rack over a baking tray and roast them in the oven. You could serve them with homemade coleslaw but instead of using mayo, use half fat sour cream or fat free Greek yogurt. Or serve them with a baked potato or brown rice.
  • Where in the OP does it mention excessive drinking, breaking the law or behaving irresponsibly? Part of her job involves alcohol. She wants advice on how to minimise the damage to her weight. She doesn't need to be lectured on what you think is irresponsible or what you think her employer wants from her.
  • I ignore the macros and focus entirely on calories. Maybe when I'm where I want to be weight-wise I'll start tracking macros but until then, it's unimportant. So, don't worry about it. It's not a hard rule to stick to your macros. They're just a guide. Your breakfast was fine if it was within your calories and you enjoyed…
  • If it's just fruit, I'd suggest eating it rather than turning it into a smoothie just because eating it takes longer and tends to result in feeling fuller sooner so you eat less, or at least you can snack on it over a longer period of time so there's less opportunity to snack on the higher calorie foods. But if it contains…
  • Usually the label will say "as sold" or "prepared" - as sold means raw/uncooked and prepared means cooked to the label recommendation.
  • I weigh everything before cooking, and log the raw/uncooked calories. I feel it's more accurate this way.
  • Lol. You can tell most of the posters are American. OP: Drink diet sodas and clear spirits instead of beer or dark booze. Swap every second drink for plain Diet Coke or lemonade. Drink a pint of water before bed along with a couple of aspirin and drink some orange juice and eat some toast when you wake up to ward off any…
  • This thread makes for a depressing read. All the self-loathing and insecurities are just... blah. I don't "hate" much about being fat. I dislike being unfit and the health issues I can see creeping up, but that's about it.
  • But yes, if MFP gave you 1200 calories to lose weight and you ate 1300, you'd still lose weight. It will just be a little bit slower. Maybe change your rate of loss to 1/2lb a week so you have more calories to work with.
  • Pretty sure Kathy is her name and she used it to sign off the end of her post.
  • I have Adblock Plus on my phone and I'm pretty sure it did nothing for the ads on the app?
  • I have no idea if I'm an introvert or extrovert, all I know is that I find it helpful to have "friends" who'll like or comment on the updates I post. I'm not an "OMG that's awesome amazing fantastic xoxo let's do this woohoohoo!!!" kind of person but I'll like a post or comment on an update when I see them, because it's…
  • Eyeballing your portions isn't meticulous. You could EASILY be off by several hundred calories at the end of the day. Even cup measurements aren't entirely accurate. The only way to be meticulous is to use a food scale.
  • COKE ZERO VANILLA IS A THING?! I hate living in the UK sometimes. I can rarely ever find regular Vanilla Coke. I would legit die of happiness if I found Vanilla Coke Zero.
  • Coke Zero forever. Or plain water with some of those concentrated flavour drops.
  • Overnight oats are good for breakfast, and you can make up a few servings in advance. Soups are an easy lunch option. You can use lentils or beans for protein, or add some cooked meat in at the end. You could switch up the burgers for chicken sausages and serve them with rice or pasta or sliced up on top of a big salad. Or…
  • I've found that volume is important when snacking, for me. So, lots of strawberries or grapes or sliced apples, and/or veggie sticks with a dip like the reduced fat hummus (or full fat, if it fits), homemade tzatziki or garlic and herb, whatever flavour you prefer. Then I add on the "bad" snack at the end. I fill up on the…
  • I'm 29 and I have about 200lbs to lose to get to my personal goal weight. I'll be 30 next March and I'd love to celebrate it feeling comfortable in my body, so it'd be great to have some women in a similar situation for mutual support, so anyone's welcome to add me.
  • You could make your own frozen yogurt. I was looking it up on YouTube last night. It's pretty easy and you can tailor it to your preferences/requirements.
  • I can't imagine protein powder and cottage cheese tasting anything like cheesecake, unless you've totally forgotten what cheesecake tastes like.
  • Frozen banana nice cream? Or avocado chocolate mousse. Or PB2 coated in some melted dark chocolate or cocoa powder/melted coconut oil. Like healthier Reese's PB cups. Chia pudding is lovely too.
  • My aim is to lose 207lbs. I've stopped and started numerous times but I suppose the main thing is I keep going at it. Feel free to add me. It's nice to have people who have similar goals.
