Hitting 350 bench, 480 DL, and 500 squat were a big deal in my early 30s. I'm down considerably from that now but doing the Westside Barbell method to get back there.

Never said they didnt. Of course they do but in my experience working with new lifters they are able to perform the barbell lifts in a more correct, stable and safe fashion when they start doing the body weight lifts first. Those body weight exercises build BASE core strength to better perform the barbell lifts. That's my…

You look great bro and have a beautiful wife! You're an inspiration!

Cardio is good for health. As far as fat loss, diet is far more important.

I don't think anyone should bench until they can do a proper push-up. And don't squat until you can do an airsquat. The knees should not go in. I would use bands for airsquats to help build the hips.

SL 5x5 is great for starting strength training. I would add body weight exercises in. If you struggle with them at first, do alternate ones to help develop the exercise. The point of body weight exercises is that it also builds core strength.

I like spinning too! L

I totally agree with the opening comment. I choose to train and feel like an athlete, not a meathead with a fake tan.

Everyday is a new day is not cliche! It's just the way it is. Kill it tomorrow girl!

Could be as simple as your breathing technique while lifting. That supports the core which supports your back.

I'm in my 30s but identify as a 21 year old. You must accept me as such or you are a bigot.

I'm old enough to remember the days when girls dreaded having a big booty. Girls in my school avoided lifting weights because of it. My, how times have changed...for the better of course.

Change up the training and eating. Try intermittent fasting to change it up. Do more strength training rather than cardio. Our bodies get used to the same ol grind sometimes.

I don't mind the 5x5 but I have got better results from Westside Barbell methods.

Even the thought of regulating the media sends red flags for totalitarianism!

How long before that site gets hacked like the other "discreet" websites?

Dump him like taking off a bandage. One full swoop, a little pain, and move on.

Any diet that cuts out macros necessary to function is garbage. I don't care what the results are. Every person I know that has lost weight doing it eventually gains back more than they lost.

I call it the dreadmill because there is nothing exciting about it. Run outside and enjoy nature.

I use the Westside Barbell method as well. Great strength gains

First rule of crossfit: always talk about crossfit. Just an observation I've noticed.

Deadlifts will make you faster and less injury prone.

Keep it up man! Inspiring!

I did it through the summer and lost 10 lbs in two months. I also gained strength on my core lifts (bench, squat, deadlift, and clean&jerk). I had plenty of energy and avoided binge eating that I experience with 6 meal cutting. It all depends on the individual.

I have done HITT in the past but stress fractures made get away from it. I did 100 to 200m sprints with 30 sec rest. Burned a lot of fat and my legs got stronger. It was just too hard on my body at the time. Instead, I now do HITT on a spinning bike. Not as beneficial, but get a burn nonetheless.
