  • I applaud those who made it past the 5 minute mark. I'm not sure how long I was watching but I would be surprised if I made it past 5 minutes. As soon as I realized what the "health" was I turned it off...I don't need that negativity in my life. Lol
  • Yep I'm on the implant as well. Didn't have a period the whole first 2 years and when I started low carb I started getting them on and off. Sometimes it's 2 a month and sometimes it's none. Mine haven't leveled out but I don't worry about it too much I just track when I do get them and always have some products on hand.
  • SW: 230 Last week: 169.5 CW: 168.7 GW: 127-130
  • My husband took a picture of me before heading out to an amusement park. I looked at that picture and didn't even know who it was I was looking at. I decided then and there that I needed a change. That next day we gave away any unopened food and threw away any food that was already open but that we weren't going to eat…
  • @makingithappen2017 hey no problem I don't mind answering questions about my gallbladder. I had been having attacks for 3 years but no one would believe me and I did have stones. When they took it out they said it still had a lot of stones. Actually low carb almost completely stopped my gallbladder attacks. I had been…
  • SW: 230ish CW: 169.5 GW: 127...maybe idk just healthy and happy. Did a 3 and half day water Fast from Friday night to Tuesday morning and it was great. It brought me down from 173.9 to 169.8. And today I was down another 0.3 lbs. according to my scale I'm also down almost a whole body fat percentage.
  • @hoffman2300 aw that's the most amazing compliment ever when people say I'm inspiration. It's why I share photos even when I'm not 100% confident in sharing them. I'm just hoping maybe someone will see what I have done and believe they can do it or keep going so thank you! It motivates me to keep going.
  • It all depends on how you are eating. I do low carb as I have never found anything else that has been sustainable for me personally. I'm now down below 170 as of this morning. I don't really watch my calories a ton but I am generally anywhere from 700/800 calories to 1600. I always try to get in at least 1000 calories but…
  • I was until I had to have my gallbladder out 2 months ago. Now I do almost Keto but can't eat the 70-75% fat. I can only go as high as about 60% right now.

  • July/august 2016-230ish and this month 174 Started my journey in September 2016 and have lost 56 lbs since then. I have about 50 lbs left to go at least.
  • Hi just under 5' here. Have went from 230-250 ish to 174 so far. And still working on losing at least 47 more lbs. here is a face comparison and a body comparison but not from my brightest weight. I was around 210 or so in the before and 170s in the after
  • Been a while since I updated! SW: 230(? Maybe higher) CW: 174! Down 56 lbs at least!! GW: healthy...would ideally like to be between 125-130 maybe. Had surgery near the end of April to get my gallbladder out so I haven't lost much since just after surgery when I went from 184-175.6 after being in the hospital 5 days and…
  • @KnitOrMiss thanks! We are hoping that things get better soon. Will be paying off getting my gallbladder removed til we die lol hopefully we get things handled and I'm able to get a better digestive aid and all that jazz.
  • Hmm I will have to look into more. I have only been taking digestive enzymes once a day because they are expensive and we can't really afford for me to be taking them more than once a day right now. The whole unexpected surgery and no insurance really screwed things up for us financially especially after an already hard…
  • @KnitOrMiss I don't do it everyday but about once a week or so. I have found that lemon juice helps quite a bit.
  • @RalfLott I agree! My uber health conscious grandmother approves and that's good enough for me lol
  • I do not have the time or energy or even the space to make homemade sauerkraut. I am going to stick to bubbies because it is the best option for my family and me at this moment. I wouldn't be opposed to buying a better brand but I haven't been able to find anything that comes close to bubbies in stores.
  • No I don't. I'm very particular about the taste. I use bubbies sauerkraut and it's pretty much the only kind I will eat. I have tried other kinds but bubbies is the best. Lol
  • @AlexandraCarlyle I have read that and it seems there are varying sources that say do it and others that say don't. Right now though I'm doing apple cider vinegar which seems to be helping, fermented foods like sauerkraut, probiotics, and a digestive aid. So far all of that seems to be helping 98% of the time. But from…
  • @KnitOrMiss It's tough. Overall I'm doing ok and my wounds from surgery are almost completely healed but I have days where I have upset stomach and diarrhea. It wouldn't be a problem if only certain foods triggered it but it is pretty random. I'm not currently able to go as low carb as I would like but I'm trying to keep…
  • Well I'm home now! They discharged me last night. I'm doing so much better now that I am at home. I was able to finally sleep through the night without anyone waking me up which was AMAZING! I'm taking it easy on food today. Someone recommended broth so I'm doing broth with some plain chicken while I get used to having…
  • Thank you! My surgery just finished about 3 hours. So now I'm in recovery. I'm not worrying about carbs while in the hospital but I want to plan for when I go home tomorrow. I did read that a lot of people who have their gallbladder out can do low carb but not quite as low as I had been. I was keeping to almost Keto levels…
  • Definitely watch the alcohol. I was always a lightweight but now 1 small drink gets me completely wasted. It's pretty bad. And like others said sounds like you need some pickle juice, sauerkraut juice, or something like that. Anytime I start getting a headache or feeling down I try to get something loaded with sodium. Low…
  • Ah finally have something to share for the first time in like 3 months lol SW: 230 maybe more CW: 182.3!!! Been hanging between 183-185 for the past few months but I'm finally down a little. Also got a ketone meter and after upping my fat I'm in ketosis now. My blood ketone meter read 0.7 this morning! I have never gotten…
  • My husband is hypothyroid and possibly hashi's due to some preliminary tests a doctor did. He is currently taking iodine and a multi mineral vitamin with selenium in it. He has also cut back on his synthroid. He has been feeling back to his normal self which is great. It's our goal to eventually get him off the medicine…
  • SW:230 ish September 2016 CW:185.3 Gw:127 I been stuck between 187-189 for most of January and February. So I was super excited to see the scale move today. Working on a mini goal of 179 to get into obese class 1. From there going to work on getting to just overweight(153lbs). But overall I'm pleased with the way I'm…
  • Bought my first clothing in a size medium!!! Bought a pair of pajamas in medium. The top fits perfectly and the bottoms fit but are still a tad tight.

  • SW:230 CW:190.7 Been staying steady since New Year's Eve weighing in at between 192-193 so I was happy to see the scale move down today. At almost 40 lbs lost and tomorrow is my 4 month anniversary of starting low carb! Hoping to lose that last 0.7 lbs and hit 40 for my 4 month. Ready to get into the 180s as well!!
  • I started September 12,2016. And as of December 31 I was down 38 lbs. I do low carb. My husband joined me and is down about 10-15 lbs. Going to keep going and hopefully reach my goal this year. Excited that I feel better than ever.
  • Sounds totally normal. My first month I lost almost 20 lbs. I'm almost to 4 months in now and almost to 40 lbs lost. That's almost 20 lbs spread out over almost 3 months with weeks of no losing thrown in. The losses come in spurts. I have weeks where I don't lose anything and then weeks where I lose 10 lbs in a week…
