It's not a must. There's no magic behind it. If you don't mind using food to hit your protein goals then keep doing what you're doing. If you'd rather guzzle a portion of your protein and have it digested as soon as possible then shakes are great for that.

Not all fruits. Apples, apricots, bananas, berries, cantaloupe, cherries, dates, grapefruit, guavas, lemons, limes, loquats, mangos, nectarines, olives, oranges, papayas, passion fruit, peaches, pears, pineapple, pomegranates, all melons, raisins, tangerines, and tomatoes are fine. They're all alkaline fruits.

You could be less aggressive with the weight loss and bump your calories up. Use IIFYM calculator. It's much more realistic with macros.

Forget all rules about eating and stop telling yourself you're on a diet. Just eat without putting pressure on yourself. Also experiment with other methods of eating. Bigger meals, different macro ratios, meal timing etc.

I don't miss anything as I eat whatever it is I want. However, a part of me kinda misses not seeing a problem with having donuts for breakfast, patties for lunch and pizza for dinner multiple times a week. Those were some good times.
