Because sometimes I just wish I could eat the way I did when I was young!
Oreos - a whole sleeve (they don't even get packaged this way anymore!)
Twix bars
Banana splits, extra walnuts
Fudge
Large italian sub extra hots on WHITE roll
PB & Fluff sandwiches
You?

Pizza smothered in ranch and wings with sauce and ranch! I know I can have anything in moderation but I would rather have a satisfying binge every once in a while rather than the sad portioned size it would be if I worked it into my calories10

I still eat all the foods I like, just in smaller quantities. I haven't cut anything out, which has made things much more sustainable long term for me12

Pizza is my kryptonite! I'm not into the ranch dressing though. I'm like you with the satisfying binge thing though! It works better for me than the sad portions.
I miss pasta with sauce and melted cheese too!

I miss homemade macaroni and cheese. I can't eat it anymore because I became extremely lactose intolerant after my fourth child was born seven years ago. I'd totally eat it right now if it weren't for the fact that I feel sick for at least a day and "off" for another day after doing it. It's better for me to not eat it at all. I know that's not quite what you were looking for...5

Sweetened condensed milk. I used to eat cans of it by the spoonful5

Because I haven't cut any of the foods I like out of my diet entirely, I don't miss any foods.
I made a decision when I joined MFP that I was going to eat only the foods I liked.
So I cut out foods I felt meh about such as sausages ... but my favourite pizza stayed in.
And cheap chocolate bars were cut ... but good quality chocolate stayed in.
I fit it all into my diet by having higher calorie things less often ... and I exercise for them. That's a win-win situation for me because I enjoy exercise.6 -
jemhh: I admit - Fluff by the spoonful accompanied by chunky peanut butter by the spoonful!
I guess I am fortunate that I have developed an intolerance for anything made with cocoa, so most of my weaknesses are now off limits. I can have carob but I am not a big fan.
I do eat some of my faves but in much smaller portions. But a low fat turkey with swiss on a flaxseed wrap is no comparison to that large italian sub on a lovely white roll!

okra and tequila Oops, I don't miss okra.12

I haven't really given up any foods. I just eat some of them in smaller portions and/or less frequently.
I do kind of miss sitting down to a movie with a big bag of chips but now I just buy a small bag or go with popcorn. And sometimes wit would be nice to not have to think carefully about food before I eat it. But I want to not be fat anymore, more than I want to do those things.6 -

It's still all about CICO. You can eat all of those in one day and still stay in calorie deficit. Not the most optimal to reach nutrient goals, but calories are what matter for weight gain, loss, maintenance.

If I really missed something, I'd fit it in, so nothing? (Well, sometimes I miss wine and beer, but that's a different thing.)
There are lots of foods I eat a lot less than I used to, though: Mexican hole in the wall restaurant food, Indian restaurant food, Chicago style pizza, stuff like that. I don't so much miss them as that having them less often tends to make them even more enjoyable when I do.5 -
There are foods that I have had to give up pretty much entirely because I don't just like the food, I like the experience of eating a lot of them. Eating them in small quantities is not satisfying and only leads to bigger cravings. Better for me to cut them out than to open myself up to that.10

I gave up alcohol because of the drunk munchies I'd get. (63 #soberdays!) I miss that. Other than that, I haven't cut anything out of my diet. If I really want it, I make it fit. I make whole pints of Ben and Jerry's The Tonight Dough fit (once in a great while) because that stuff is too awesome to give up forever.15

If you are going to deprive yourself of something that is available to you, you'll be struggling.
I don't deny myself anything, but I'm careful with foods that I find too easy to overeat. Luckily for me, I have learnt that it is the overeating, not the foods themselves, that are bad for me. And I don't miss the mindless/frenzied grazing/overeating at all.3 -
Well to be fair... I was a fat kid.
But I still fit things in... Rarely sometimes (I love cheesecake, but I have it maybe 3x a year), but I see absolutely no point in depriving myself of the things I love just to be skinny - which I probably never will be, but you know what... I'd rather have cheesecake and cookies than being skinny. Being a healthy weight is good enough.
Banana split though... yeah. I've been wanting one for a while. But I can always have half a banana with some ice cream and a bit of fudge and whipped cream and make it fit.
I guess it's up to you though... either deprive yourself and miss the food, or learn to have some in moderation (whether it's a small quantity at a time or saving your calories for a sleeve of cookies).2 -
I miss Cocoa Krispies (the real Kellogg's one) but they don't sell it in Canada so I have to settle for the cheap imitation Walmart version which isn't quite as good2
-
I still eat everything I love when I want. I simply plan ahead and workout more so I can afford the calorie influx. Impromptu though, I generally will pass on them unless I know I have the time the next day or two to make up for it.0

I don't think I miss a specific food as much as I miss diving face first into a bunch of it. Like an entire basket of fries with ketchup or a big take out container of Puerto Rican food. I can't do it anymore anyways because I would be very sick if I did but now with the logging and everything it just puts even more of a restriction on it. Now that I think about it I do miss fried chicken. I miss Popeyes fried chicken to be specific. Sigh4

The only thing I'm really giving up is drive thru breakfast biscuit. Everything else I let my self have if it fits that day. Just because it usually doesn't (ha ha) doesn't mean I won't ever have it again0

honey nut cheerios
oreos
reese's treats
cookies
donuts
ice cream
basically all junk food. haha
I still eat some of these things, in moderation, but not like I used to back in the day1 -
I don't miss anything as I eat whatever it is I want. However, a part of me kinda misses not seeing a problem with having donuts for breakfast, patties for lunch and pizza for dinner multiple times a week. Those were some good times.7

I miss eating delicious greasy double cheese pizza, with side order of nachos or/and onion rings, followed by pint of ben&jerrys and not thinking about it twice. I definitely don't miss how I felt after this and on the next day. Definitely not worth it.3
-
I still eat most of the "bad" stuff...but it's more occasional than it used to be...I just eat less of that stuff so it's not really substantive to my diet as a whole.2

Your user name f**king rocks. Reminds me of a donut.2 -
I eat the same food just appropriate portions so don't miss anything.
Obviously I used to overeat but a 6" sub vs. a 12" sub of my favorite combo is still tasty.

At first, when I was running a larger deficit, it was steak. I had some but not much. Now, it is a regular again. About the only thing I still find tempting is fried chicken when I roll past a Chick-fil-A, Chicken Express, or Golden Chick.0

I find the childhood junk doesn't live up to the memory. I tried Captn Crunch as an adult and yuck, too sweet. I found Corn Bran to be a decent adult substitute.
Similarly I like chocolate wafer cookies as an adult better than the Oreos.

I get all the cheese taste with a fraction of the calories by switching to extra sharp extra old cheese, grating finer, and using a fraction of what is called for.1 -
Never give up any food . Fit it in.2

All these peeps on MFP are good at moderation apparently. I pretty much can't bring most calorie dense, fatty, high carb foods into the house. I'll indulge at a nice restaurant, or with freshly baked goods/a nice bakery. I'll get something with peanut butter out for dessert, but for the most part-I eat things that are low calorie, in high volume. You can trust there is no peanut butter in my cupboard or block of cheddar in my refrigerator.
That said, I miss eating large amounts of all the cookies, pizza, ice cream, and chips.12 -
I haven't stopped eating anything I like, just less of it. I think I'm the only person I know who doesn't like pizza lol3
