I'm currently under, but I'm ok with that. I bet once I start working full time that will change.

Older eggs are easier to peel, fresh eggs are a PITA to peel. I bake my eggs instead of boiling them, works better for me.

I too log on every day, I don't log my food (use to, now I can't be arsed to be honest). Feel free to add me (send a message).

I have a flourless mandarin cake on my blog runmum.com it's not really paleo as it does use sugar, so more gluten free. I also have a gluten free brownie recipe on my blog. Almond flour is blanched almonds. Almond meal is the whole almond. So when a recipe calls for meal, the usually mean Almond Flour. The ratios are…

Country vic here, feel free to add me.

I'm going to give this one a go. I know some days I have higher steps than others, but should be interesting all the same.

Paleo turkey pie, with steamed veggies and roasted pumpkin.

I 2nd the newbalance minmus. they have a 4mm drop, but the are unlike my brooks pure cadence2's which are also 4mm. Newton's also have 3mm drops. If you can get yoruself to running store and try them on and see the differenc. the newbalance are more flexible and have less cushioning, while the books have more support and…

Brooks Pure flow - Short runs Brooks Pure cadence2 - long runs Nike Lunafly - everyday walking shoe Salomon Crossmax - trail running ascis kayano 19's - These are currently in retirement for when I do Tough Mudder or spartan race. and I'm looking at getting a pair of newtons you can never have too many shoes.

Skim I would except for the fact I have insanity asylum 2 and p90x3 on my list of things to try too.

Hi everyone, Well I just finished p90x2 :( Yep sad face, I really enjoyed it, now it's just a few days of recovery before getting into tough mudder on Sunday. Super excited about it as I have a team this time around. Down to 62kg and that would be thanks to whole30. Once TM is over time to start training for Spartan
-
I actually like going for a 3km slow recovery run the day after. And doing yoga.
-
I second paleo. Get the book "it starts with food" and do a whole30.
-
yeah i've heard good things about this particular vest. I plan on going to the city in a few weeks, and they have a few running stores, so I'll be able to test them out there, but I want to know models so I know what to look for.
-
I've done whole30 3 times now. On my 3rd round (Feb) it took until day 20 for me to feel fantastic. I was feeling very flat, so yes, it can even vary each round.
-
I just finished born to run and really enjoyed it. I've also read running like a girl, and yeah really enjoyed that too, very different to born to run, but enjoyable all the same. I have scott jureks' eat and run book on audio, just haven't gotten around to listening to it yet. The other running book I read recently was…

seriously how are you not hungry? I'd be starving with how little you are eating. IMO you are not eating enough protien, or carbs from veggies. fat isn't the enemy, I'd recommend 40/40/30 macro's (carbs/protein/fat) you may also be interested in the calorie myth podcast they also have a website.

my fastest 5km is 22:43 so 30 mins seems slow, but yeah these are mountains and hills are speedwork in disguise.
-
Hi everyone, I know I don't post much but thought today I would check in. I'm in the last week of phase 3 of p90x2. I'm sad it's ending, but at the same time, I've def gotten stronger. Today I did a 5km hill training run in 33mins. I ran both hills. I should say mountains, cause really that's what they were. You can view…

Hi Bee, Gosh I've been so slack with this group, but I know there are heaps of groups out there. If you wanna add me as a buddy, feel free.

I've been gluten free for around a year. I did my first whole30 in august 2013. A month of paleo in November, and I've just finished another round of whole30. Paleo/primal is def the way I should be eating. Ran a 21km trail run last week, and fuelled myself on 100% paleo food. And I felt so good. So I know paleo eating is…

Get yourself the book "it starts with food" by Melissa & Dallas Hartwig. Do whole30 (eating squeaky clean paleo for 30 days), and then reassess. Tomorrow is my last day of my 3rd round of whole30. And once again has been fantastic for me and has re affirmed that paleo eating works for me and my family. If you have any…

100% it's a problem. It's artificial and no way near good for you at all. veggies are carbs (they aren't fat and they aren't protein, so what else can they be). Eat more veggies.
-
You've already admitted that carbs of potatoes and pasta are your enemy, so why not eliminate all man made carbs altogether. Bread, pasta, wheat, rice etc. Start eating real food, and eat more protein.
-
Thanks Michele, I feel much better on whole30, just another reason to eat paleo 100% of the time. I have a trial trail run this weekend, so will be experimenting with endurance food.
-
I'm on day 20 of whole30, so 10 more days, and it's over. I also started phase 3 of p90x2. I really like it, it's hard work though, however I know it will get me results. Running still doing that, but I miss not having a race to help me get up to speed.
-
have you got compression socks? if not you should invest in some, they are truly fantastic.
-
The heat is a huge factor, it's just been so hot and so I can't physically go any faster without feeling horrid. I'm also not training for time at the moment, so it's ok if I'm going slower. Getting up the distance for tough mudder which is in like 6 weeks.
-
I'm sorry I haven't posted much, things have been crazy with getting back into the school routine. I'm doing whole30 so my diet is as clean as it can get. I've been trialling different foods to fuel my long runs. Pureed carrot and prunes are a good mix. My running however eh... lets not go there, I knew I this would…

Well I'm a runner, and as the others have said, there are a ton of us. You've got some great goals. Add me if you want motivation on food running or whatever. good luck either way.
