Earned my red tip in Tae Kwon Do about a week ago, so that much closer to getting a belt in my favorite color :). Getting ready to watch my kids compete in a tournament this weekend.

Hi, I'm a little envious since I am a 42 year old mother of 5 and my youngest is 4. But I guess the kids keep me young. You don't have to officially join this group. Just post. Sounds like you are off to a great start. It is harder to lose in your 40's, but it does happen if you just keep at it. Exercising is fun and…

At Tae Kwon Do last night, a college student who is really good with weapons was back on spring break. So, we got to learn nunchuck tricks. Not the greatest for calorie burn (didn't even record anything) but it was fun to do something different and challenging for hand-eye coordination.

Great job. I don't see a problem with a treat as long as you have the calories for it. But you can research lower calorie treats or you can also look for non-food treats like hobbies or even exercise :). Exercise can be a treat after a stressful day.

You are worth taking care of. Please commit yourself to loving yourself enough to make the steps you need!

Just checking in to celebrate that I finally made it to my healthy bmi. Starting to wonder if I even want to lose any more weight, but do want to keep counting calories at this point to make sure I'm not gaining it. Still have my goals set to lose 1 lb a week, but usually go over a little anyway each day.

Does it taste like ketchup? I love salsa and spicy foods, but hate ketchup.
-
Great job!!! Hoping to get there myself soon.

That's a huge weightloss for one month. I'm only 3 lbs from being at a healthy bmi. Hope to see that soon, but more likely it will take a few weeks.

With a lot of weight to lose, you only have to start making small changes to see a difference. My dad passed away at the age of 53 which was basically brought on by lots of weight related complications. You're still young enough to have a full, active life. Go for it!

First of all, you are beautiful and worthy just as you are. Second, if you recognize that you have a problem, then you have made the first step. I pray that you get the help you need and realize that you don't have to be in control to be happy.

Lazy over the weekend. I completed day 21 and 22 this morning.

Felt pretty dizzy last week. Made sure to eat plenty of iron rich foods on Saturday and that seemed to help. Dark chocolate to the rescue :). Now I need to make sure I remember to buy those iron pills.

Started a new computer project this week so I am stuck sitting on the computer for 20+ hours this week. Not so great for my activity level and combatting the munchies, but the money is helpful. Tried out a new slow cooker recipe last night and it was a big hit. Lost another pound this week according to the scale at the gym…

Wow, amazing story and great job on all the hard work. Praying you enjoy a long, healthy life with your kids.

Love this. My dad passed away 15 years ago this week. He was very obese and I wish he had eaten better for all of us, but I would order an egg or a piece of toast and enjoy it with him if he was here.

veggies/dip or peanut butter. More veggies and less dip/peanut butter. Soups. Apples and oranges. Skinny girl popcorn. Shrimp or fish. Hershey kisses (well, if feels like a lot). Coffee with different flavor creamers. Cereal without lots of sweeteners. But yes, moderation in everything.

Day 20 was a bust for me. Don't have the balance or the arm strength to do that one.

Had a good week. Finally seeing some scale results that reflect the work I've put in.

Everyone feels huge towards the end of pregnancy. It's normal and healthy. Remember you are growing a person! Worry less about weight loss :). If you've ever known a mom who lost a baby, especially towards the end, they will tell you not to sweat the weight gain. The baby is worth it.

Completed day 19, High plank today. Really felt this one in the abs. Great workout.
-
Only managed to do 2 sets of day 18 again.

So, halfway through a month long plank challenge, I decided to add a squat challenge. I have been worried that as I lost weight, my calories would be cut. My first cut was only 10 calories so no biggie :). Had 5 New visitors to the children's Tae Kwon Do class that I teach over the past couple weeks. Happy to see New kids…

They can cause constipation if you eat too many (especially if your body isn't used to them). One or two a day should be no problem.

Completed day 17
-
3 sets of 15 pushups completed for day 16. Only need to do 40 push ups for my next tae Kwon Do fitness test, so I get 5 for extra credit:).
-
Completed day 15.

Bump, curious about this too.

6 inches off your waist, op is enough to make me want to sign up right there. Awesome job, all.

Thanks for the responses. No, I'm not hungry anymore, especially at night. Only right before meals. Just wondering if others felt their hunger tapering off after a few weeks of calorie deficit. I think I am also learning which low calorie foods fill me up more than others and how to save a few calories for the evening if I…
