  • I think it varies. My husband doesn't stop moving unless sleeping or sick. I am not that way. I need motivation. It keeps me moving, so for me, yes.
  • My sister's wedding is in June. Last night I went with the group to go bridesmaid dress shopping. I was convinced nothing would be in my size. There wasn't any in my size, but the next size down, several actually and I figured they might not zip but I could get an idea. They zipped AND hooked like they were suppose to with…
  • I deal with diverticulitis a lot. Recent flare up just this week. Have been hospitalized for it and it is horrible. Can't imagine dealing with UC or Chrones. For me it is about eating a high fiber diet and steering clear or corn (my biggest trigger). I have thought about seeing a dietician or nutritionist but pretty sure…
  • From 630am to 130pm was spent in the ER today. I was hoping to just get some meds and be able to go in to work later...... They ended up giving me pain meds which helped but knocked me out. I told them what antibiotics I normally take for this... They gave me something totally different. So I still went to my pcp which I…
  • @jdelaroy glad your MIL is doing better. My MIL has a lot of health issues too along with the beginning stages of dementia. We have our hands full some days. I have a German Shepherd so I know All about the struggles of keeping an active dog calm. She was 4 months old when we got her fixed, poor thing lived in a cage for…
  • @Momofthree224 weekends are a struggle for me too. So many family things go on, we go out to eat. I just try to remember to be more active.
  • I think I am finally back to being focused on my food tracking. I kind of got lost for a bit. We had a huge Halloween party last weekend and I know I went over food wise. But as a host I was bouncing around quite a bit so there was lots of walking and moving. It was so much fun :). This weekend we are going to a Halloween…
  • If you have a dollar tree near you,go in and check them out. Ours always has different things, I even found a big bag of flax seed in there once. We have a Save-A-Lot which is kinda like Aldi? They sell older produce for ridiculously cheap, never had issues with it. Another one in the next town over sells meat packages for…
  • So while I have had small NSVs of making good choices I have yet to have any physical ones. This one came at a perfect time... As I was in a mood to say screw it all!!! Back in July I started my journey. I had No jeans that fit. We went out with some family and friends one night and I squeezed, literally, into into a pair.…
  • Yes!!!! But it makes your tummy smile lol.....well at first haha!! I could only tolerate half of it. :/
  • Reese's Custard Concrete from Sonic. That was my lunch and it was delicious. And I ate it at 1030 this am. I am thinking Saturday before work I want a cinnamon roll from the local pastry shop. Their cinnamon rolls are almost as big as my head!!!!!
  • The last few days have just been blah and I have actually just busted out in tears a couple times and today I had a custard concrete from Sonic..... I only ate half, but still. At least today is my early day and I can go home sooner. The over time is great especially since my hubby has been sick but I am sick of being here.
  • I felt like this over the weekend. I ate horribly, some how I lost .2lbs from Friday to today. I logged and according to MFP was just right at maint. one day a little over. And there was some extra bites and tastes that were not logged. So it isn't always as bad as it seems.
  • I am super unmotivated today, and it is the first of the month (for my line of work - I work for a consumer loan company). On top of that we are short staffed. I still have another day left of my week  I guess I shouldn't complain about overtime, right? The scale was up this week which was kind of a bummer. I…
  • @cayladebra - my local Wal-Mart has a really nice sport equipment section and I have gotten a lot of stuff from there. They always have a lot of clearance stuff too. My mom got hand weights for me from a local yard sale. I had a really nice stand for them until my husband stepped on it... @jdelaroy - Thanks!!!! I…
  • I just read through some of this thread. I love the encouragement and positivity in here. I am looking for that kind of support. I have been on my journey for a little over 60 days. Down 26lbs. Some days I find it frustrating and others I feel like I am on top of the world.
  • I set my calories for 2lbs/wk. I know that I can go 500 calories above that and still be in a losing zone. On weekends if we have a party or something I allow myself to maintenance. In the past I have been way to strict with myself got frustrated and quit. I am just over 60 days of Consistent tracking and have lost 26lbs…
  • Feel free to call me K. I'm 35 and from Ohio. I have been married to an incredible man for almost 10 years, no children - just an adorable puppy dog. I have lost weight successfully in the past with a different online food journal. Things happened and I just lost all control gained back all my weight lost and the same…
  • A favorite customer comes in every month and always brings us a treat. Today it was cherry pastries. They looked delicious! I even scanned one into my diary. 70 calories for a one bite pastry. They all went home with my boss's son. I deleted it from my diary. But they did sit on the counter all day. Very proud I didn't…
  • Breakfast: whole wheat pita w/2 eggs cook in 2tbsp whipped real butter Morning snack: mocha iced capp w/milk no whipped topping Lunch: Chipotle mango salmon pouch, nature Valley oats and dark chocolate Granola bar and a banana. Dinner: Lentil soup or whole wheat spaghetti w/sauce depending on how my husband feels. Evening…
  • The only people who know my starting weight is my doctor and my husband. I am well over 300lbs but have lost 25lbs in the last 60 days eating at a 2lb loss/we. Some days I go over that, but I am in the mindset that this is for forever and I am not always going to eat perfect. Everyday life has cookies and birthday cake and…
  • Went to breakfast with my momma this morning at our favorite local restaurant. Big bowl of steel cut oats with a banana some walnuts and a bit of brown sugar. 548 calories and I was stuffed until about 2pm. It was so so yummy!!!! I might have found a new regular breakfast there!!!!
  • In May of next year my nephew is getting married in NC. While I don't plan on rocking a bikini on the beach I would like to comfortably fit into a swim suit to enjoy the pool and also be more comfortable to do a lot of sight seeing the week we are there. Also June of next year my baby sister is getting married and I am the…
  • This is the kind of thing that keeps me on my path. :)
  • My first time being able to post on this one..... My NSV? My profile picture. Not a big difference, but I can see a tiny difference in how my clothes fit. Wearing the same identical out fit right around 3 Months apart. Oh, and a friend of mine runs a Facebook page for monthly fitness challenges. I completed the September…
  • July 20th is when I started logging. My husband paid for another one line food diary for me that I used years ago and had a lot of success, I just recently started logging on MFP again. I missed a week of logging in these 2 months from where I was on vacation. In all of that since July 20th I have lost right around 25lbs.…
  • I have lost 3 bricks.... Now I wanna go across the alley and pick up 3 bricks just to see... Lol. I bookmarked that site.
  • Will be a year the end of this month I had mine. 3 months before that I had multiple procedures done at once. I am very obese (21lbs down since July though) and my surgeries were a breeze, recovery was a breeze. Stay positive.
