Screaming insecurity. A little reassurance, face-to-face, will likely go a long way.

I will generally see 3-4 lb gain when my body retaining water, but it usually comes right off by the next week. No need to freak out. There are things that we cannot control no matter how hard we try. Continue on with your normal routines.

The gym clothes that i bought 6 months ago are too big now; so much so that my leggings keep sliding down. I am giving them to my sister who has just started working out again.

I have found that it has taken me about 2 months to really make the changes feel like habit. Tackle it one day at a time. You can start with small changes until you reach a point that you feel you can stick to it. But the toughest part is that only you can make the changes and the choices. If you've started this journey…

Thanks for the ideas! Decision made: two batches of banana nut muffins and a bag of trail mix.

i have been eating at a deficit for 5 months and was doing mainly cardio until month 4. At the start of month 5, I added weight training and decreased my cardio a bit but still eating at a deficit; my rate of weight loss has doubled. This is just my personal experience; try it out and see how you feel.

For me personally, when I get home from work if I sit down to relax for a bit, I am much less likely to get out that evening. To combat this, I have immediately changed out of my work clothes and in to work out clothes, then I am back out the door straight away. The relax time comes after the exercise and not before. This…

Stay within your calorie limits and you will lose weight. "Fat does not make you fat" and there is plenty of research to support this. If I eat an avocado and some peanut butter in the same day, I will blow past by fat goal for the day after eating all of my meals. It's nothing worth freaking out about; healthy fats are…

@amyk0202 @nowine4me @MsMaeFlowers Thanks so much for your support. It means alot to me.

I agree with the above. A physical therapist would by your best bet for both safety and accurately addressing the core issue. I too have scoliosis in my upper spine, but not nearly to the curvature you are dealing with. I see a chiropractor every two weeks as my curvature causes neck spasms more than back pain.

Does your gym offer group fitness classes? I go to a circuit training and a conditioning class every week. It gets to me work on muscle groups that I normally wouldn't. I have found it to be a good option for strength training.

@mickeygirliegirl @Rchin4thestarz- I appreciate the support. After refocusing earlier this year, I have been able to work alot, but there are still things I am struggling with. Counseling has helped gain perspective, but AlAnon may be my next step.

Thanks for the feedback and support @cmriverside @Geocitiesuser @ppuente64 @Treece68 @Katiebear_81 @STLBADGIRL . It helps to know that my frustration, anger, and sadness are normal feelings in this situation. We have been going to counseling for several months to address his depression, anxiety, and drinking. Every…

From other threads I have seen, between 10% and 15% of starting body weight.

My workout tops are now too baggy to work out in. My compression leggings still fit fine, thankfully; but since I have added so much muscle in my lower body, my legs are now too big for my skinny jeans while the waist is getting roomier  Can't catch a break! But I'm okay with these changes!

Very insightful self realizations. The bright side of you recognizing these, it that you have the power to change them.
-
So inspiring! Great job; I'm glad you got a mini celebration :)

It really depends on how much breast tissue you have. Breast tissue won't decrease, but the fat in your breasts likely will.

I pulled on my size 10 jeans this morning without even thinking about it. A few weeks ago my thought was "How much will these squeeze by belly today? What shirt can I wear with these jeans that won't show my muffin top?" Today, no questions. I just got dressed.

Oh wow! That is such amazing progress! Great job!

My suggestion is take measurements; because weight loss is gradual, you likely won't notice anything drastic even though you ARE shrinking  I saw a thread a while back that I scanned through. The average when peers (not the individual) started to notice was between 10-15% of starting weight lost.

That is an amazing transformation in just one month. What type of a calorie difference are you eating now compared to when you were doing just cardio?

Yes, it helps keep me motivated. So far I have only hit my first goal and bought myself new make up and skin care products ($130). My next goal is prob 4 months away. I only have 3 mid-level goals. SW 189 GW1 170 (-19 lbs, 10% of SW) GW2 150 (-20 lbs, 20% of SW) GW3 145 (-5 lbs) UGW 140 (-5 lbs)
