Finally seeing some inches lost in my stomach! I was feeling smaller and confirmed it when I went running and my tights (that used to be too tight) kept sliding down....so I figured what the hey let me try this denim skirt I've been wanting to fit into again (haven't worn it in at least 6 years) and sure enough I was able to zip and button it up with no issues! I still have a muffin top so can't really wear it out but that thing didn't go up past my thighs last time I tried it on... glad the belly fat is finally starting to budge!27

I ordered a size 10 dress ( I started at a size 18) online that's perfect for my wedding rehearsal dinner because it was the last size they had. It came in the mail today and it fits!!!!! I'm still in shock33

No major victories, yet. But I have noticed a couple of little things. Jeans that were pushing the limit are comfortable again. I can lift my foot up on my knee to tie my shoes with having to grab it, again. And HEARTBURN! I haven't had any in three weeks. OK, that is a little big, since I was having terrible heartburn, living on Tums, and occasionally convinced it was killing me (dramatic over-reaction ) Since I stopped eating bread nothing. Yay!27

Needed a light weight jacket as it was raining this morning so grabbed one out of the closet that previously was too tight to even try to get it zipped up, Not only did it zip up it feels a little big.
Took a load of clothes to a friend and told her it would probably the last load for a while as what is in the closet now fits. But then I keep discovering things that I thought still fit that are too big. So more trips to the thrift store so I have something to wear until I get to goal. Just over half way now.
100 miles ridden on the bike last week with the longest day being 40 miles. Loving this nice weather. Although note to self - Don't forget the sunscreen. Just a touch too much sun on the arms but not to the point of peeling.
Daughter brought some chocolate chip cookies (homemade and very good) split one with husband and had her leave one for him for later and its still in the cupboard.
For the second week in a row I made lunches for the whole week ahead. Makes mornings go so much easier.

I've improved my deadlift by 11 pounds in eight weeks! 341.7 lbs as of Friday.32

My workout tops are now too baggy to work out in. My compression leggings still fit fine, thankfully; but since I have added so much muscle in my lower body, my legs are now too big for my skinny jeans while the waist is getting roomier Can't catch a break! But I'm okay with these changes!23

Just finished my first 10 mile run!32

I've gone from a 40 in men's jeans to a 36 (and from an 18 to a 16/14 (UK) in women's jeans). I can put on a pair of 34's of my boyfriends and do them up, but they're not comfy. I can do up all my jacket buttons now. I can do up all the buttons on the shirts I wore unbuttoned over my t-shirts.
But biggest for me is I can now walk (and run!) up the four (steep!) flights of stairs in my house without getting out of breath. I can walk to university without issue (3 miles).20 -
My non scale victory is I finally accumulated enough Ibotta points to cash in and buy a better scale.
My old scale had a 500g limit. Very aggravating in many situations. The new MyWeigh KD8000 has an 8000g limit. Loving it thus far.

Week 3, Day 2 of C25K completed with my son.
Plus a mini-run across the playing field with my toddler. How could I not, when yesterday she said "I'll run with you, Mummy, if the others won't".
She ran faster than I did18 -

You're getting perilously close to Week 5, Day 3!
I completed C25K in July last year having never run before. I was way too slow to actually be at the full 5K distance after the 30 minutes prescribed by the program but I stuck at it. It took me another month or so to nail it. I was considering a bridge to 10K program but instead I built slowly on my own from the 5K, taking care to keep the speed down and not go crazy. I kept adding a little more mileage every week and a tiny bit more speed more judiciously. I did however ditch the interval approach (couldn't stand getting started with running after a walk break). I run 3 days a week now religiously and choose Sunday for my longer runs. Well this Sunday I hit 10 miles for the first time - my NSV. I was the fat kid at the back of cross country at school!

I grabbed a coat this morning because it was unusually chilly heading off to work... Keep in mind that this is my go-to coat that was very form-fitting about 6 months ago. Well, today I was SWIMMING in it. I went to button it up and was in utter disbelief... I've lost enough weight at this point (30 lbs) that I could bring the button holes well past where they used to be, and the sleeves were drooping down.20

Bittersweet NSV of needing heavier weights! Bittersweet bcuz they ain't cheap and I hate to have to spend the cash. At least it'll be a good investment19

I've got two!
- I just finished week 1 of C25K, and I didn't die! I really thinking going to boxing consistently has greatly improved my cardiovascular health, as my breathing thus far has been under control while running.
- I caught a glimpse of myself in the gym mirror during a dance class and thought hey I look smaller (front view), lol then I turned to the side and the dream was over! But still feel like I'm noticing a little progress.20 -
My husband's friend from back when they were in the Air Force was in town today for a few hours and we all went to lunch together. His friend says whatever's on his mind and has absolutely no filter. They came to pick me up at work and when I was getting in the car my hubs friend said "dang dude! Your wife got hotter". Made me feel good:)29

Hope that made your husband step up his game I've had to work with the public a lot and it always made me feel good when a non-pervy, just outspoken guy gave me a compliment.14 -
Bought some capris 2 sizes down18

Due to so many inspirational MFPers around here I went and bought a bike our company is sponsoring a 50km charity ride in October, so something to work towards.34

I ran 5k tonight... and felt like I could keep going31

I inspired a close friend of mine to make a stronger commitment to getting exercise after he noticed my progress during a crazy semester at uni. That, to me, is such a wonderful feeling, and worth way more than the fact that I dropped 5 pounds during this semester.25

1. I bought a one piece swimming suit two years ago that I had to fight hard to get into and was uncomfortable wearing because it was tight in the shoulders and back area. I hadn't worn it in almost 18 months. I tried it on three days ago and it slipped right on easy as can be and felt super comfy!
2. I can sit with my feet flat on the floor and my knees near my chin without hurting anywhere in my midsection or back.
3. I fell down five stairs about nine months ago and hurt my booty pretty severely (black-purple bruising which took forever to leave but left behind a lumpy fat deposit at the worst injured area) and the lumpy fat area is disappearing! I thought I'd be stuck with that forever!
4. Somewhat related to 3 - I am starting to have a booty that is cute and rounded in my jeans again instead of lumpy and cellulite marked and saggy/flat.
5. I'm not as hungry and food cravings aren't a problem at all anymore.
6. I have energy. A lot of it.
7. My wrist and back pain are going away.28 -
Took my two swimming this week, they are 5 and 9, parking near our house afterwards I got out of the car as normal, they were waiting on the pavement for me ( I know, well behaved!) As I rounded the car I shouted "Last one to the house is a nincompoop!" and sprinted down the road, the look on their faces and the whoops and laughter as they chased me! My son, the 9 year old, said, after we got in the house, "I've never seen you running before Mummy". I have vowed that I will run with them at least once a week, just for the sheer joy it gives us all
Go you! (Love the word nincompoop!)

Laughing at my "NO SCALE" success!
I have stalled the past 10 days, gained 4 lbs!
Back up to 208lbs in my birthday suit.
WTF?
This morning with hubby to his doctors appointment.
(He had lost 7 lbs in 4 months! Yeah baby!)
Decided to check on the doctor's scale my weight. 203 lbs?!?! With heavy blue jeans AND my heavy clogs on ?!?!
Wait.... I lost 5 -10 lbs in 15 minutes???
WTF?
Tech suggested my scale may be out of calibration or even broken.
Went home put my 10 lb weight on my scale multiple times.
The scale said 10lbs,15lbs, and even 17lbs!
Then tried to recalibrate it.
18,19,11,13,10,9, ummmmm no.
I threw out my scale!
Yes, I took fiendish delight in tossing that sucker!
That dear folks is my current
"NO SCALE " victory !
This made me laugh out loud!!

Awesome! (Just wanted to repeat it since I can awesome a post only once )
Enjoy cycling and good luck training up to those 50km.
I'm trying to train up to the distance between my house and my brother's (30km) since I currently only have small distance goals I need to train for (daily 7km commute to train station and the 7km all uphill back).10 -
Yesterday I helped my husband build a stone wall. As the unskilled laborer, I had the pleasure of moving a (literal) ton of rocks. Today, except for the squished thumb, I am pain-free. What a difference 15 lbs can make to the knees! Not to mention all that practice picking things up and putting them down.19

I was sitting on the couch and felt discomfort on my shoulder blades. Figured it was due to my bra straps and didn't think much of it. Later I sat back down again and my shoulder blades still hurt. Realized I wasn't wearing a bra and that I was just feeling my shoulder blades pressing against the couch.
Do skinny people feel uncomfortable everywhere?? lol19 -

I definitely did this this morning at the gym (both the front and side comments lol).
My NSV: I lost a total of 5 inches from all over my body in the last 2 weeks with minimal scale movement. Track your measurements, people! You won't regret it!
Other NSV: I ordered workout pants online from Old Navy (I recently have been excited that I can actually purchase things from the regular section of stores) and I ordered what I thought would be the right size pants- they are too big! Time to return and get the next size down13 -
I bought a dress online for a Halloween costume (I start early, lol). It was from a Chinese seller so I was worried about it being too small, so I bought the biggest size they had, which was two sizes up (an L to an XXL). The measurements looked right for my size, and I knew that if it was just a bit too small, that it would be fine by the time Halloween rolled around. I'm top heavy so really, I worried about it zipping up in the chest area.
Got it in today, and it was big enough to throw over my head. Didn't even have to unzip it. Well! I hadn't measured since I first looked at it a couple weeks ago, and remeasured today. Yep, definitely on the downward size trend. If I hadn't lost weight it probably would have fit.16 -
Got up with every intention of biking to work this morning, like yesterday, and just didn't feel like it.
So I jogged the 3K to work instead.43 -
On Sunday, I finished my 7th race of the year...(1) 10k and (6) half marathons.28
