well I made it 100 days of logging on MFP over the weekend and lost a total of 15lbs. I'm not sure if this is considered a NSV. I was at Victoria Secret yesterday bra shopping. I wear 36B but my band length is getting smaller since I'm losing inches around my waist but not my cup size. So I tried the 34C and it fits perfectly. I don't think I went up a cup size so I had to ask the bra specialist for some assistance. She said that is typical to transition from 36B to 34C since my bust size didn't really change much but my under bust is 29 inches. I have never been a 34 C in my life.

Also, I bought a nice beach sarong wrap to wear with my 2 piece swimsuit on my birthday beach trip. I tried it on and it looks so cute!

I tried on for the first time a 38 waist and I need a belt!
and can almost fit into a 36.
I bought the 36!
Everyone else I told was like
"That's nice dear..."
But to me it really is a big deal.
Just glad I have FP.
You guys know what a drop in size can feel like.

We know exactly what it feels like. Also, if you talk about nsv's to other people, it can sound like bragging or boasting to their ears. But if you say it on here, people are just so darn happy for you

So much this. I've stopped mentioning my NSVs to people around me (well, 2 exceptions, but they're rooting for me and my role models for how I want my lifestyle to be.

). I've found that on MFP, people will just be happy for you because they understand exactly what kind of an achievement it is. It seems silly to people who've never been in that situation but it means the world to us!

yesterday, I did not say no to this yummy chocolate caramel cookie thing (Star Crunch) I hadn't had one in years. I bought just 1 ate it, enjoyed it and then walked for 30 minutes to burn those calories. I really wanted it, but I didn't want the calories it would give me. I thought long and hard about eating it. I decided I could have it, if I burned the calories, and I did.

The fact that I sat and thought about it before I ate it was amazing, and then made a plan so it would work, rather than just not caring. NSV for sure. BTW, not sure it was worth the extra walk, but it tasted good at first.

Today I completed C25K - beginning as a completely non-runner who thought she would die on day 1!

Also, I am co-hareing a hash house harriers run this Saturday - I am officially a runner, when/how did this happen?!

This is going to be a little bit of TMI but here it goes... I am not an underwear type girl but I had bought some boy short type undies last summer to wear under my skirts for work. Being that I don't normal wear them I bought them a size bigger than what I thought they should be because well ya know... Well needless to say, they did NOT fit me. It was like stuffing way to much sausage into a tiny casing.

I took them and put them in a draw never to looked at again. it's been so nice out these past couple days I decided to bust out the skirts and YES the boy short that were in the way back of my dresser and sure as *kitten*, not only did the fit, they were actually a little baggie on me... I was never that self conscious girl when it came to my "larger" size but those undies actually being big on me was such an amazing feeling I can't even explain... Greatest NSV!!! LOL

We had a potluck lunch today at work. We have these every month or two and there are always lots of goodies. Before I committed to this journey, I would have had serious helpings of everything. Today, I still tried everything but just a tiny spoonful or serving of each. Definitely a NSV for me - feeling good about it.

Going to the DIY store to buy more decking, didnt bother getting a trolley (I can never steer those big ones). Carried 4 planks over my shoulder - no bother.

Well, we (DH, my children and I) did it - we walked to the next town.

According to Google Maps, it was supposed to be 11.5 miles. According to the Map My Ride tracking, it was 13.15 miles.

It took us a while - about 5 1/2 hours (including time for breaks) but my toddler walked about half of the distance (she insisted on walking) so we went at her pace.

No time for much cycling as a result but we had a lovely day together as a family, saw lots of interesting things (the path we took is a converted disused railway line) and had time to "stop and stare" and to talk about what we saw.

My step counter is showing 30, 590 steps but I think that it may have missed some when I was pushing my littl'un in the buggy. No matter.

The children will sleep well tonight

Took my two swimming this week, they are 5 and 9, parking near our house afterwards I got out of the car as normal, they were waiting on the pavement for me ( I know, well behaved!) As I rounded the car I shouted "Last one to the house is a nincompoop!" and sprinted down the road, the look on their faces and the whoops and laughter as they chased me! My son, the 9 year old, said, after we got in the house, "I've never seen you running before Mummy". I have vowed that I will run with them at least once a week, just for the sheer joy it gives us all

I went in to a well known shop that I wouldn't have ever dared enter before and bought a pair of jeans off the rack. 34" waist down from my 46" when I started

I still can't quite wrap my brain around it all.

A co-worker saw me today and said "hey skinny". Wah. Who, me?

I was cutting it really close to a train departure today and miraculously found a parking spot right outside the platform, so I made my train. If I had to park 3 or 4 blocks away as is normal that time of day, I probably would have missed my train.

Coming home just now, I purposefully passed my car -- in my town's most coveted parking spot, closest to the train station -- and walked all over creation because I needed a couple thousand more steps before walking back to the station and to my car to finally go home.

I'm sure anyone else would think I'm a weirdo, but I figure you all would understand.

I'm on week 6 of weight lifting and got to 100lbs on my squats! I started at 45lbs (just the bar) so I'm very happy about this!

i walk around in my i-bike-home-in-these tights after changing at work. it's a small thing, but i just remembered this. 10 years ago i wouldn't wear tights at all. and even when i did start to wear them, i'd take everything with me into the nearest bathroom to the bike cage, and then sort of scuttle and sneak down to the cage hoping i wouldn't be seen.

i'm more or less the same shape now as i was then, actually. it's just now there are subtle differences i know about and so now i don't care. i go change and then i come back to get my laptop and pack up my stuff. the world's more or less welcome to look at my new cubist legs if they want.

3 NSVs for me this week

1. My hubby was tickling me from behind. He stopped and started to poke at my belly saying "I can feel your abs they're hard."
2. A guy at work who is based in a different office so I only see occasionally noticed how much weight I've lost and said I'm looking "hot".
3. Probably the biggest one for me is that I haven't used a really stressful week at work coupled with a cold to eat whatever I wanted but have stuck with my plan.
