I'm going on a family vacation to Virginia Beach next week and for the first time ever, put workout clothes on my packing list. It's not going to be the main priority but now I can't imagine an entire week without working out at least once.9

i bought (and wore) shorts...not capris, not bermuda shorts, actual shorts! last time was 2012.20

I did the same while I was on vacation this past weekend! It was nice to run in a new (and very flat!) surrounding. I can't believe I can do 25 minutes.11 -
Passing the "all-for-looks-cyclists" that are half my age and decked out on $2,500 bikes with another $600 in shoes/clothing/helmet and mirrored Oakleys that have frames that match their helmets ... and watching the surprise on their face when they pull into the parking lot and realize I am the "old dude" that passed them a few miles back.22

did a 50lb overhead press today. first time adding weight to the bar. such a big accomplishment lol17

I bought a pair of bright red skinny jeans last year. They fit well, but I felt a bit uncomfortable wearing them. This year, I love wearing them.

I remember the first time I passed a decked out runner (coordinated shoes to t shirt, arm band, I phone, lulu lemon everything) in my soccer shorts and Bo Burnham t shirt. It was a great feeling. I know that obviously so long as your running it's good, and your clothes don't dictate anything, but still, it felt good.17 -
I went walking at the park today and saw someone who I had seen there last year when I first started exercising. They hadn't seen me since I have lost 63 pounds (I still have about 60 more to go!). It was really weird (but cool) to have someone asking ME for food and exercise advice! They said I was an inspiration which made me so happy!21

Someone at work noticed the weight loss today and said I looked good16

We have gone for walks before, but the dumbbell routine is not something he's seen me do. I loose that momentum on the weekend when he's home. Not today! I think I might even get some cardio in while he sleeps!
You should exercise around your hubby! I do! I do my bellydancing workout right in front of him in the lounge room, he looks over at times with admiration and says things like "I think I just saw you lose a kilo...or what other husband can say they have a hot belly dancing wife? or I'm so proud of you, your the best doing this workout! "
You will find your hubby will instantly become a personal cheerleader......and it feels awesome!!

Been doing my bellydance exercise routine now for 4 days straight, 2 days to go and MFH will give me 100 sek for doing it all week.. And every week I keep it up! Woot!!! I can't think of a better incentive than money to buy makeup and false eyelashes for working out all week!7

Less appetite and more energy.
Less knee pain!15 -
I have been at my current job since March 2015. About a month or two after I started, one of the guys (call him Jeff) quit to go to another company around town.
While driving with a coworker last week, we ran into Jeff at a mini-mart. He and my coworker started chatting; after a few minutes, he looked at me quizzically and asked "Do I know you?" I responded, "yeah, I'm Mike. We worked together right before you quit last year." Jeff: "Oh, yeah. Wow, you've lost a lot of weight, man. I didn't even recognize you"
One of the happiest, most validating moments I've had in years!37 -
I'm up to the 5th notch on my Fitbit. At Christmas I could barely do up the third notch (as in I almost couldn't do it up at all). Not sure how much skinnier my wrists will get as they're already freakishly skinny compared to the rest of me, but I can do it up with the 6th notch, it's just uncomfortable after a while.
I bought some size 16 dress pants at Costco and I can do them up. They look awful, but I can do them up .19 -
Even though they hurt for days and were slightly bruised, I didn't lose my toenails after wearing the boots from hell on my recent backpacking adventure. Never again. These are the first boots/shoes I've ever worn that have bruised my toenails. Those terrible things are going in the trash!8

Went wood cutting with my husband. Haven't done that in several years. Carried many oak rounds to the truck. Best part is I never got sore and was still up for a walk that evening. And shrinking out of my smallest clothes.16

I went to the preserve this morning and for once, didn't have to set a stopping time to get to bed (I work nights and usually come afterwork).
I walked 5.23 miles in about 2 hours and only left because I was getting hungry.
It may be time to find me a bigger park!
I just did the math, and that's over 8 km! I wonder how long it would take me to walk a 10k? Hmm...12 -
I see a specialist every twelve months for various chronic conditions. Today was the day. Although clearly she has seen me each year, today we did a comparison. My latest NSV?
2007 - 99kg, waist measurement 93cm
Today - 54kg, waist measurement 71cm
It's only taken 9yrs but hey, 22cm and 45kg and I'm celebrating! And even though I've gained a kilo after having no treadmill for four weeks I didn't torture myself. It's fixed and I'm back on the program. The old me would have eaten my body weight in junk. Thank goodness she is long gone xx21 -
Mini Nsv, no longer sweating in Leslie sansone 3 mile videos; time to do something more difficult now

I was able to quickly run up the over 500 stairs at a waterfall in Costa RIca that almost killed me last time I was there. Those stairs plus all of the photos I hated being in are what started me on my diet! 40 lbs later, I'm a runner and it was EASY! Plus, I liked being in all of the pictures!23
