I walked in the free weights area filled with buffed dudes and performed my exercises. This took ages to get done been limiting myself to machines and cardio but finally I'm there26

Normally when walking I may glance down and always see belly sticking out past bust.
Today was walking and had to bend forward to see belly. Then wondered why I was, 'checking I was still there'!! weird brain moment. but yay less belly!29 -
My son walked into the kitchen and told me I looked skinny.29

Just checked my food diary from 5 weeks ago and I'm at the exact protected weight MFP said I would be at! I often think "oh I wish" when I see that projected number each day. Now I know I can do it!25

So proud of this - after training hard on hills and doing some really steep bursts I tackled a climb in Wales that my mate and I usually just walk up.
My mates been "training" with me and we thought we'd give it a go this time.
Not only did we do it - I had the Garmmin on which gave the eye-watering fact that this is a 16-17% incline.
The hill goes on for miles after that with gradients between 8-9% which we usually do manage - but this time we were chatting and not even out of breath despite this level of steepness. Way to go,both of us!!23 -
I had to visit my doctor's clinic today to get a test done by the nurse. Usually she does some general health checks at the same time and for the first time ever I was walking in with my internal monologue being"please weigh me today" she did and for the first time in my life I wasn't embarrassed to get on that scale27

Awesome, just awesome.
I can't wait for this moment; I fear it will be a very long wait as my belly is a bit too comfortable and doesn't want to leave. Doesn't help that my boobs have vanished into the ether either12 -
My new work trousers are feeling baggy now!19

Also, one more. Ok a few more.
I used to be a runner. But an injury sidelined me in college and then I pursued to get my mental health in order before committing myself to exercise in the future. (Exercise was a form of purging for me...NO MORE!!)
Working out with fitnessblender free YouTube videos has be instrumental in both my physical health as well as putting those last few pieces of mental health in place. Kelli and Daniel are awesome. This winter is the very first that I've worked out consistently. And I can tell!
The warm weather and desire to be outdoors in quiet morning stillness before the hubby leaves for work and kids are out of bed prompted me to start the C210k program. I ran a 5k back in November and just a few weeks ago ran the fist time since and was able to go for 15mins. WIN!! So I'm sarting on week 4 of C210k
All that story to say that running at 6 this am in the quiet spring air was MARVELOUS. This is what I hoped and hoped and prayed for when I was injured and realized my motives for running weren't healthy all those 10yrs ago.
FREEDOM.
Mentally.
And because of fitnessblender workouts FREEDOM physically as well. I'm strong in ways I've never been before and I can enjoy running even MORE because of it.
So much Joy. Soooooo much joy!!!
I am actually pressing the awesome button over and over again for you9 -

RIDE SISTER RIDE!!!!! LOVE IT!!!8 -
I have an undetermined thigh injury right now which is only painful when I do my back squats. I had progressed to 135 pounds in this area. This has been a mental set back for me since I cant manage any weight at all ...only body weight squats. Yesterday whilst setting up for my deadlifts.... I actually laughed outloud that I was feeling so bummed about not being able to do squats....13 months ago I was laying on the damn couch making love to a bag of Lays Chips......what a mind bend a glorious mind bend!!!!31

Last weekend l completed the 23.6 mile road loop that used to be my usual after-work bike ride for the first time since I stopped riding about two years ago. I was also only about 2.5 minutes slower than I used to typically average for this ride, I expected to be at least 10 minutes off my old pace.22

1. Saturday I did my second 7K (4,2 miles) ever. I was really nervous as this one was 3000 feet higher in elevation, in the foothills of CO (read lots of hills.) I beat my time by 3 minutes. The first time I did this I cried, this time, I had tears in my eyes when I found out I beat my time. I didn't expect it. I even jogged a couple of blocks.
They adjusted the time for where we started in the wave. So I rechecked my official time, and I beat it by 8 minutes and 46 seconds. This made me so happy, I almost cried.

This might sound dumb, but.... I'm wearing boxer briefs instead of normal boxers. I'm not sure why this is a "victory", but it is. I think it's a victory because I can now wear a wider variety of under garments and not look like a complete mess

A couple of people at work commented that I was looking leaner today20

I put on a fancy top I wore to a wedding two years ago, wore it with black pants. It's no longer a top, it's a dress! I believe I could pair it with leggings and a belt and wear it that way.24

I hear that. Pulled out some compression shorts/underwear from years back. Felt like I was stuffed into a sausage casing when I tried to wear them before. They feel good now.13 -
I ran today!! Me! At 275lbs. It was definitely not impressive but I ran 30 seconds, walked a minute, ran 1:30, walked a minute then ran another minute. This came at the end of my 2mile walk so it was even more amazing to me. I want to lose more weight before doing it regularly though.33

I got out of the shower and looked down and- my pooch? It's disappearing? When did this even happen?!25

1. Looked at a picture of me from 3 years ago. I am amazed at my progress. I never realized how big I truly was and how unhealthy I looked. In comparison, I look fantastic.
2. My BF says a guy was checking me out. (Not sure if he was imagining this or not.)
3. Was told my roller skating has improved a lot, and was given a new form to try to help increase speed.
4. A lady at my kids school told me how good I look and she can see a bid difference from the beginning of the year. Also, that I inspired her and a friend to start walking. (I walk at the school while waiting for the kids to get out.)
5. I also noticed, I have no side boob anymore. Not sure where it went, but I will take it.21 -
It's not like a super victory, but I haven't motivated to eat at a deficit so I've just been trying to maintain my weight and keep logging until I can kick my butt back into gear again. But at least I didn't completely fall off the wagon! I'm still holding on with two hands!45

I've ran three 5Ks this week at around a 12 min/mile pace. This coming from a girl who could hardly keep up with the C25K program when I started back in February. But what donned on me at about kilometer #3 last night is that I've done all three of these without using my puffers for exertion asthma! And on at least 2/3 runs this week I didn't feel drained at the end and could have kept going!!
So for those just starting out in the C25K program (or at running in general), keep it up! Great things can happen if you commit yourself to achieving whatever your goal is, whether it's running 5 mins, running 5K, running 5 miles or running 5 marathons28 -
Also face to face Friday says it all - one year and ~20lbs of difference

I started C25K at ~275. Was down ~ 16 lbs when I finished 8 weeks later. Did it on a treadmill. Honestly sounds like you might be ready for it with the right pair of shoes (and, no I don't sell shoes).22 -

Agreed. I ran my first 5K at 280. It's definitely possible. Check with your doctor if you're not sure.
And I second the importance of good running shoes!!! Worth every penny.

19 day streak for logging and exercise. I'm especially pleased about my logging as several of those days I blew right past my calorie goal but did not say "*kitten* it" and have continued to pick myself up and start over the next day. I have infant-strength persistence, but it's a start.22

Today, during my c25k intervals, I jogged 8 minutes in a row. Twice! I still can't believe it.18

Kind of scale related, but I now in obese categor 1 instead of 2. Dont know what the difference is, but I'll take it!24
