I’m 48 a mom of three . My story similar to yours . My husband has always worked crazy hours so the house and the children fell on me. It can be , and still is very stressful. But the answer is YES it’s worth it. My Goal isn’t a rocking 20 Year old body. It’s a healthy strong body. The best version of me I can get .…

Thank you for helping ! My exercise is mainly Walking & yoga . Yoga is very low on the calorie burning scale , but I know there are other benefits for me. But walking seems to have the largest range of calories burned for the same time. I googled it and like you said it is very subjective and difficult to measure.

Thank you!

I am just learning of this method and going to begin it today. Can I have black coffee in the morning during my fasting period ?

Congrats! 😊

I agree to look to nutrition and increasing your calories . I changed my breakfast to a morning shake from my usual bagel. The shake is loaded with good stuff (spinach, berries, chia seeds) and I felt a huge improvement on energy. Same calories as a bagel .

I have seen these posts before and I wonder how it’s possible. I think you may be making mistakes with measuring portions /calories. Occasionally I will have leftover calories , particularly if I had a really good workout that day. But usually I hit the mark or go over by a few. I use it as a general guideline more then an…

Yoga In general is a mood enhancer. It centers your mind and body. Vinyasa is a series of fluid movements . It’s a great work out and ends in shavasana , everyone’s favorite . 😉

I always aim for the ultimate goal (2lbs) and allow myself some wiggle room if I don’t achieve that. Because some days I won’t have the treats, others I do. Good luck to you, you’re doing great!

Awesome! Keep it up!

Love all these ideas! Thank you!

Being a stay at home Mom can be very lonely. I stayed home with all three of my girls until they were school age, and even then (and now) I only work part time . So there are still days where it’s lonely. If you can just find one person in the same situation as you it would help. Maybe a walking buddy or coffee date once a…

Coffee is usually my first incentive. But I’m a morning person. Rarely do I sleep in.

Yes ! Trying to lose 10 pounds . I am active too, but I snack. Salty snacks are my weakness . So it’s a battle. I’m down 3 lbs so far .

Looks like skin to me. That does not look like fat .

I sympathize with you. I lost my only sister (and best friend) 2 1/2 years ago and then my father a year later. So it was a struggle to keep up what life was throwing at me . I hadn’t caught my breath from one major loss and was hit with another . I think my first post was similar to yours. Walking helped me work through…

We are going on vacation with friends so I know there will be some drinking . And I agree, when I drink I also eat which is my downfall.

No, not really. Wanted to lose 10-15 pounds then the doctor adjusted my thyroid meds (lower) and I immediately gained 5 lbs. I have since lost that weight but I’m stuck at the original weight which I wasn’t happy about to begin with. . So while I’m happy that I didn’t keep the extra weight and the meds seemed to even…

Awesome! I literally have to remind myself it’s ok to leave food on the plate. Also ask myself , am I actually hungry or just bored/lonely/stressed. It has helped a lot .

Clothes fit better. That’s it. There’s no hiding the bulge or pulling on my clothes if I am at the right weight. Silly but it feels better .

I lost 15 pounds 3 years ago with mfp. Felt awesome. Slowly the weight crept back on. Until it was all back. Stress was a factor. Now my new goal is 10 pounds. I think the 15 was too thin and to difficult to maintain. 6 more to go. My issue is once I go back to “normal life” it takes me 2.2 seconds to gain the weight that…

163!! That is amazing!!! You can do this!

Just to feel like me. I have a comfortable weight. One that I feel good and confident, clothes fit right. And this isn’t .

I’m a serial starter , look back on my progress records and think ....why did I let the weight come back on?? But here I am. This week has been good . I’ve been very disciplined . Lost 1 lbs. Hoping it continues!

46 , 3 children , trying to lose 10 lbs, and keep it off . I’ve done it before with mfp but it keeps coming back a few months after 👎

Today is date day with my husband. So my goal is to not eat and drink my days calories in one sitting . Also prior to the date get in a good work out just in case!
-
I agree, it does get better. After my first I had gained 50 lbs during the pregnancy and couldn’t believe how much stayed after a nearly 9 pound baby. I started walking daily. And walking and walking . All with baby in the stroller. By her first birthday all the weight came off. Your body will go back to a recognizable…
