I go to gym every day (weights and run). Every run is usually 1-1.5m miles. In my non gym days at home I do
Side planks (1 min 3 times)
Plank position (1 min 3 times)
Half sits crunches (30 reps 3 times)
Push ups 15 reps 3 times)

My side view doesnt look too bad but i still have extra weight on sides and I am wondering how come it is not coming off. I used app to track my calories and i am always in deficit but in all honesty i dont really watch what I eat. I will eat macdonals and i will eat cake so I am not that picky but even with that food i am in deficit so i am not sure why it is not going away.

Dude that is mostly skin. That being said, if you aren't measuring closely you might not be in deficit after all. Up your runs to 3 miles, that will give you a bigger calorie burn.

How long have you been losing, how much have you lost, and how much more are you planning on losing?

It can take the skin up to 2 years, once you have hit your goal weight, to recover up to its genetic capabilities. Age and how long you were overweight can also be a factor.

    Cheers, h.

It's still there because the midsection is where most men retain fat/have the most stubborn fat deposits. Do a Google search for "android fat distribution". For most of us, it will be the very last place you'll lose it from, and ab exercises will strengthen your core, but they won't do anything to help get rid of the fat.

You can't spot reduce from a particular place on your body - no exercise, diet or supplement will do that.

Are you saying this just the skin? Its same way in front (arround belly button). I read that arround weist is hardest to lose but i was just wondering about it. I am 50 years old 6.2 tall 184 pounds and i am definitely in deficit every single day I measured. I went on to measure for about 2 months.

That's not just skin. If it was just skin, it would be paper thin. That's skin and subcutaneous fat.

If you want to lose it, you just have to continue in a deficit until it goes away. For some guys, it's so stubborn that you could be too skinny everywhere else on your body before you'll lose that last bit of fat around the waist. It's determined by your genetic fat distribution pattern and there's nothing any of us can do to affect/change that.
