Honestly don’t waste time cutting . Muscle gain takes time . Determine the target goal weight for your height and keep lean bulking which is .5 pound per week .Once you reach your goal start cutting ( slow cut ) until your happy . It’s so unfortunate that many people don’t recommend bulking for people who want to look…

I m on recomp plan so I guess I need to increase my fat macros from 30 to 40 . I even saw a video from Dr Berg saying high fat diet causes fat loss than high carb diet . I m on recomp plan right now to improve body composition . It’s going good

Thanks all for your suggestions. I did visit my Family Doctor today and was pretty happy to see some good results . The Doctor conducted 6 round of Bp tests and gave me a average of 117 . So looks like the walk-in clinic was wrong in there assessment especially for a guy like me who takes low sugar and low sodium and very…

Yes it was a general check up by the nurse at walk-in clinic . I have not done any self test . I don’t drink and sodium intake is very low . I just hold my breath sometimes while lifting . I have learnt that I need to exhale and inhale more . Life is always surprising

I was thinking that there is a standard defined based on height . Say 150 lbs lean mass on a 6ft guy can be considered muscular ,lean or ripped with body weight 175 lbs .
-
Height :180 cms Weight : 74 kg/ 163 lbs Lean body mass : 120 lbs Body fat : 24 percent

Thanks mate !

Sorry it was 50 30 20and I m going to correct it in my first post

Before starting heavy lifting focus and learn form . Since you are lean and any sudden heavy lifting with poor form can cause injuries . Look for Videos from Athleanx on YouTube and see how Jeff was able to add muscle on a hard gainer -Jesse .

Thanks for this !

Do you recommend high volume workout for a guy who is on recomp plan ? I mean can I do full body workouts 4 days per week or stay 3 days per week .

Thanks all for your suggestions

Thanks I would like to try your idea

Yes you are right ! The body fat scans cannot be accurate
-
Yes you are absolutely right . I hate going low on body weight because for my height it doesn’t look good . Yes I don’t have fatty liver or non alcoholic fatty liver symptoms .Also today my Doctor informed me that I have a very good Bmi and told me to ignore the body fat distribution ratio. The Doctor also said that the…
-
No I have never been diagnosed. The person who did my scan told me that guys who have this much fat with some muscle are called skinny fat and also I may be having fatty liver since my Android fat to gynoid fat ratio is close to 1.3 . My logging is under control only on rare times when I eat food which don’t have…

Less than optimal for bulking . It’s someway between 15-16 percent

Overall weekly calorie surplus would be 0 .

Stay lean !

Thanks all . I don’t know why these people who are making fat loss programs promise muscle building in a deficit . I m actually fed up being on a cut for over 4 months now and would start lean bulking .
-
Yes I m on a cut and I m lifting 3 times a week and hit legs atleast 2 times a week . I amazes me from the responses I have got that you can’t actually put on muscle even with high supply of protien . The fat loss programs I have assessed usually do put on muscle . Even a article from Livestrong site says you can build leg…

I have been on a cut for over 2 months now after lean bulk of 6 months. I think during cutting I m missing the perfect strategy to use carbs . Your article looks like a great starting point to me . I also saw a video from Bodybuilding.com by Jym fitness professional he was saying to maximize gains recovery the pre and post…

CARB TIMING Carb timing is not nearly as important to results as are carb amounts, but it does have some influence on outcomes. A couple of easy rules apply: Consuming carbs in the last meal before training can improve performance of the training session Consuming fast-digesting carbs, usually as sports drinks, during an…

Watch Jeff Cavalier’s YouTube videos on building muscle and burning fat at the same time. You need to be in positive nitrogen balance to build muscle during a deficit and your protien numbers should be close to your body wieght in Pounds . You need track your macros very closely and body measuremts to make progress . If…

14 percent

1 gram per pound is universally accepted . Also eat carrots and potatoes which are high in potassium to be always safe when consuming high protien diet . You can google the effects of potassium rich diet when taking protien to understand how it helps .

Thanks ! I like your idea

MRI is the best way to assess the current state of the injury. Then working with a Chiropractor\Physiotherapist to release the stiffness in the back is the next immediate goal . The Doctor will only suggest surgery if the pain is uncontrollable and is impacting you significantly. Also note surgery carries its own risk…
