Chaos and Pain Cannibal Ferox. Can't do coffee and it keeps me from downing a six-pack of Mt. Dew

Monthly measurements and progress pics have really helped keep me on track

Pre-logging helps me make sure I’ve got all my macros in line, and I’m not stuck at the end of the day scrambling for more protein

I love Halo top in my smoothies

Anybody in this thread can add me, you’ll see my diary everyday and my workouts. I lived my 30s like an unmotivated slob, I won’t live my 40s like that.

This was my biggest wake-up call with MFP. Because my scale is synced to the app, I thought the calories would adjust as needed. Nope

When I decided to stop making excuses because of my illness, I started slow. I mean really slow. My very first walk on my treadmill 2.5 years ago was 15 minutes at 1 mph. Within 12 weeks I was up to 60 minutes at 3 mph. You can do it.
-
That is what happened with me too. What annoyed me the most was how much my weight would fluctuate day-to-day until I got my nutrition dialed in.

Fish and chips. Even during bulking, it’s hard to fit that one in, macros-wise

I’m a big fan of chaos and pain protein powders. I tend to stick to the vanilla because it’s a very blank canvas. It shakes up nicely in milk, and blends well with almost any combo of fruit
-
I’m super picky too. You might find a veggie in my diary once a week. However, I love fruit. So I make sure to get 2-3 servings of fruit per day. And I do what @marieamethyst does. I find healthier substitutions. Chicken tacos instead of beef/steak tacos.

Feel free to add me and see what I eat. I even logged a whole DiGiorno yesterday, and still stayed under my calories
-
I do something similar to @Machka9 with food. I have the same breakfast and lunch everyday. That gives me a little more freedom come dinner time. I’ll do that for 4 weeks, then change things up so I don’t get bored. For example, right now my breakfast is 2 packs of Maple Brown Sugar oatmeal and my lunch is 1 peanut butter…

I’m in. I exercise at home 6 days/week and walk on my treadmill everyday.

I can’t speak to the issues with your breasts, but I know all about breathing issues. I had a tracheostomy 5.5 years ago because of tracheal stenosis. When I decided to try to get “in shape”, I started real slow. 2.5 years ago I did my first walk on my treadmill. 1mph for 15 minutes. 3 months later I could walk for 40…

I’ve been forced to find things that are healthy-ish. For example, I love tacos. So instead of beef/steak tacos, I make chicken tacos. And I swap the flour tortillas I used to use for corn ones. By changing the tortillas I get guilt-free use of cheese.

Male movie stars don’t motivate me, because even though I know they are real people, their bodies just seem fake and unattainable. They only need to look that way for filming. Although, mega-props for looking that amazing. Now male athletes, that’s a different story. Last year, Ryan Shazier (LB for the Pittsburgh Steelers)…

First one, in sweater was at 220-ish. Other is from this past July at about 160. Not a bad 4-year transformation, IMO

I carry mine everyday. Don’t Die Wondering

Like a lot of people have said, pics. Personally, I take a pic every 4 weeks before I go in for surgery. It helps me really see the change in my body I’ve been trying to achieve

My SO told me in May, that she can only see me as a “sick kid”. I do have a terminal illness and I’ve let my body go at times. I’ve gotten up to 240 because of prednisone and as low as 150 because of chemo. I decided to add some weight training after her comments. And I was able to put on about 15 lbs of muscle. You have a…

I’ve been listening to a lot of I Prevail lately

Like most people, what is considered a “portion” on packaged foods was my biggest shock. Before logging, a box of cereal (Fruity Pebbles were my favorite) would only last 3 servings. During logging, even for my bulk, I would stretch it to 9-10.

Hi, I’m in. I’ve spent the last 24 weeks eating at least 3500 calories/day (6’2”). I started at 153 (tooooo skinny), now at 176. I’m planning to stay under 2400 calories/day for the next 8 weeks to see if I can cut some of the fat
-
My supplements seem to always work as a motivating factor. If I take them and don’t exercise, then it seems like a waste of money. My consistent exercise helps me justify the cost.
-
Never posted these before. But I take these every 4 weeks, to help me see how I’ve been doing. The bottom one is at 153 after about a year of chemo, the top one is at 173

Anyone can add me and see my daily food dairy. I think it takes a strong person to open up about their nutrition, especially on the days we “cheat”.

My goals are different than most. I’m trying to gain weight post-chemo. But I post my diary everyday to make sure I stay on the right path, to healthy weight gain. I’m a fan of liking any posts from friends, and offering encouragement when needed. I’ve got 190 days straight, and I don’t see myself stopping. Happy New Year…
