  • Very important to develop a successful routine that still allows you to accomplish your daily responsibilities. Initially, you will have to make sacrifices like going to bed without Fallon so you can wake up an hour earlier in the morning. Don't try to work out during the day or at night because the kids will always be a…
  • Exercise 1st thing in the morning to get it out of the way. No excuses for not getting to it, or something came up etc. Unfortunately, you have to make sacrifices. That means no Fallon and getting up earlier. The workout routine is very important at this point. Find a good exercise program that fits your goals. Make…
  • It's critical to reload with calories, protein and proper hydration within the first 45 mins after a workout to help our bodies to start replenishing its levels of stored glycogen. This can take our bodies about 24hrs or more. The faster you get the proper amounts of cals, protein and hydration back in, the faster your…
  • Welcome. Start by changing your eating routine. Eat 6x a day. Same intake so you dont flip out, just cut your portions in half and eat every 2-3 hours. You may struggle for the first couple of days, but you have to get your body out of the starvation mode. You'll naturally start burning the extra calories and have more…

  • Your body wants to replace what its lost. Drink when you're thirsty. That being said, you need to do a sweat test so that you know how much water you should be consuming during your workout. Research "sweat test" easy to do. Most importantly, you can "overhydrate" cause a serious medical condition called Hyponatremia.…
  • I run in downpours, actually quite refreshing. Plus, i dont have to worry about running into bugs flying around in my path!!

  • All that aside, if you want to burn more calories per hour, you need to intensify your workout. To burn more calories per you workout hour, walk a little less, jog/run a little more and further and pick up your pace in both. If you're comfortable, then you're not doing enough. Get out of Zone 2 and step into Zone 3 from…
  • Sounds like you need a new challenge, theres this little thing called a triathlon....Ironman to be more specific. I've been training 6 months now for next years race...its brutal, intense, challenging and you'd have to be insane to commit to it, but at the end of the day, its fun.
  • I eat 6 times a day. I just started tracking on this site, but on a normal weekday, i take on 2700 calories. My Saturday intake is anywhere between 3500-4500, depends on my workout. Diet AND EXERCISE is the key. You have to create a healthy calorie deficit.
  • What's the thinking behind upping your water because your legs are sore? J/k.....stay consistently, soreness will go away once your legs get over the initial shock of actually doing something.
  • Switch to eating six times a day. Same intake you currently have, just split it up into six smaller portions. This will even out your "starvation" trigger and you wont be hungry. Metabolism will eventually pick up and your stomach will shrink.
  • Just about anything with a decent protein amount is gonna have a high sodium as well. Keep that in mind, adjust accordingly. Power Bar makes low sodium bars with 12g or so of protein. Shop around, read the labels and do a little research on boiled eggs, etc.
  • Hello Anija, as long as you're burning more than you're taking in, you'll drop kgs. The key is to get your heart rate up to Zone 3 for a minimum of 15 mins. You will start burning fat after that. If your aerobic workout can accomplish that, you should be fine. Otherwise RUN on the treadmill. Research heart rate zone at…
  • Hey Lainy, im Pete. Im new to this site but have been training now for just over 6 months. Im 41 and haven't intentionally exercised since i was 24. I friend of mine rubbed off on me and now im training for Ironman. Motivation is the hardest thing to battle. I can tell you that its best to workout 1st thing in the morning…
